I selfishly started this thread because I found this TTGP gif that made me laugh. Put it in the spoiler because it's a little graphic/NSFW.
I guess to answer my question and get back to being normal..I'm spending the first half of the week frantically cleaning and prepping for Thanksgiving and will likely spend the second half of the week cleaning up from Thanksgiving..But also enjoying time with family.

I spent my day trying to pretend like I wasn't crying at my desk because I hate my job and I've been so stressed out! I'm doing way more than my job title entails and my management is completely taking advantage of me. But I'm feeling much better now because I'm consuming huge quantities of chocolate that I brought back from the UK. (Everyone knows the UK has the BEST chocolate!) If anyone ever sees this candy bar, don't think twice before you buy it! It's so yummy, and who doesn't like pop rocks?!
@offtoneverland Honestly..I googled "no pee sticks gif" and this was way down on the page. I'm so sorry to hear your work is causing you so much stress. Are you able to look for a new one?
@SkilledSailor Thank you! Yes, I made the decision today that it's time to look for a new job. I've actually been talking to my old boss about it and she's helping me find something in her office, hopefully. In the meantime, I think I need to take up yoga for stress relief!
@offtoneverland I’m sorry you feel under appreciated at your job, but that’s great that you have such a good network to help you job hunt! I feel you. I’m not exactly being challenged in my job, but I’m kind of stuck as to what direction to take my career.

AFM, headed out at the crack of dawn tomorrow to drop the dog at the in laws, work all day, then head to my brother’s 3+hrs away. Started antibiotics today. Should have filled my diflucan at the same time. I’m going to have some major regrets in a couple of days.

AFM, one of my co-workers brought her 7-month old baby to our staff meeting today. Adorable kid, but it made me feel a bit sad and jealous. And then other co-workers had a bit of an argument in the meeting, so that was awkward. All in all, I was glad to get home today. I wish I had some chocolate to eat right now though!
@jrm_14 That's fair, I imagine Belgium has pretty awesome chocolate. I've never gotten authentic Belgian chocolate, so the UK so far is the best I've had! Have a safe drive today! So we're car shopping, and our pickings over here are slim. I've been watching crash test videos all morning, and looking up safety ratings. Ladies, be cautious....because they will give a car 4/5 stars with a poor rating in one of the crash tests. Craziness to me. I don't see how some of these vehicles are even allowed to be sold. I think I'm driving DH crazy with all my safety talk but he's appreciating the fact that I've moved on from color options being the most important thing for me...Lol!
@offtoneverland Oh that's so good! Very kind of your old boss to help you find a position. I always like yoga for stress relief. It's such a cliche at this point but it really does help.

I have to go to this awards gala on Thursday night, cause our nurse won something and our boss kinda begged us to go support her. Which I don't mind doing, she's really great and I'm happy for her. I just don't want to get dressed up and stay up late Now i have to wear spanx, and heels.. ugh. Also I feel like a big baby for complaining about this, so I haven't complained to anyone but you guys LOL

I have been putting in little to no effort at work today. I've just been making my grocery list before I head out. I should just go to the regular grocery store but I'm feeling like I need to hit up Target. I really hate Target's grocery side though. @spylon I would be lost without Target. I boycott Wal-Mart so I would have to think long and hard about what supermarket I could run to for both groceries and new pillows. Where else can you do that?
@SkilledSailor The closest place I can do that is Wal-Mart, but it's an hour drive. We have a Canadian Tire in my town, which has SOME one-stop shopping, but not groceries. Honestly, I live in the boonies. For me to do any kind of decent shopping, it's about a three hour drive. Thank god for Amazon!
I should be grateful and thankful today, but every fucking sentence is about my sister in law being pregnant and I've already been told more than once by my mother to do something menial so my sister in law didn't have to (and things she is perfectly capable of doing, and I'm already taking care of other set up). This isn't my house, I'm not the maid, and having an empty uterus doesn't make me a second-class citizen.
I'm gonna end up taking a bus home before appetizers are over.

@jsnakehole I'm sorry you're dealing with that. That's super shitty of them for a lot of reasons. Also, remind your mom that staying active during pregnancy is important so you're actually going to take the rest of the day off duty and let your SIL take over as a favour to her.

We found a car! It's a black 2017 Ford Fusion titanium model with a black leather interior, heated seats,... the works. Since it's one of their last 17' models, we got a screaming good deal. We sign the paperwork tomorrow. So excited

I ended up just leaving the room and ignoring my mother for 90% of the night. My uncle (my mom's youngest brother, who I'm particularly close to) kind of sensed something was up and gave me a call late last night and talking to him really validated my feelings (specifically that my mom was totally out of line and has been a real asshole lately). I also go to spend the day with (*TW- kids mentioned*) his amazing 18 month old twins. My little cousins always put me in a good mood.
And I got to cuddle my kitten all night when I got home, so that was pretty awesome.
