Re: TTGP Grad Check-In (11/16)

  • @canucklehead123 Yes! I just know I would be outnumbered if I said anything. I also miss dailies. The weekly threads are so overwhelming here!

  • @ajsanders-2 im so excited about the first appt! I won’t be seen for almost a month, when i hit 8w. I’m not sure all they will do at that appt.
  • @And846 - The waiting is the hardest part! Hopefully with this week being a short week it will go by really fast. FC! haha. Same here not 100% sure what will be going on at the appointment. From the call it sounded like labs, and maybe an ultrasound (can't remember now if the nurse I spoke with said that would happen or if she would schedule the ultrasound at that time). The NP I'll be seeing will also help me pick my OB (which I should probably do some research on!) Only think I know is this OB better be ready for lost of questions, I'm a FTM so I've got a lot I'll probably ask!

  • @MrsMiller8588 @ajsanders-2 @canucklhead123was getting on just now to say that I also am missing the organization! Would it be wrong when the random thread shows up to suggest that we direct threads about random things to randoms because I sometimes can't even find the threads I'm looking for because they've been bumped down by random question threads. Or has that been done and poo poo'd? I know I'm late to the but...what y'all think?
  • @MrsMiller8588 I just saw your comment about being outnumbered. So I guess someone has already tried?
  • @SmashJam I think we should try! Just based on other responses on other threads I have a feeling it may not be well received.. but is so annoying! And all the random question threads. That's why there is supposed to be a weekly questions!

  • Well I've already decided that I'm gonna stick to certain threads and lurk the rest if it doesn't clean up. Just too hard to keep up with! It might get better as we go?
  • @MrsMiller8588 - Me too, which is sad. I miss the TTGP board organization, it was very easy to find what I was looking for. I don't know if we are also to do weekly check-ins for our due dates, or not. I haven't seen any new ones show up.

  • How far along are you? 4w 6d

How are you feeling? Yucky today. Very tired and nauseous...but I can't tell if it is because I am hungry or just yucky. Food just doesnt aound appealing. Bbs are extremely sore, which I swore was because of the clomid but evidently not.

Any recent/upcoming appointments? Had blood draw today and another scheduled for Wednesday. Once I get those results, then we will look at scheduling.

Rants/Raves? I didnt say anything on thw TTGP board because wvwn though weve been trying for 2 years, I wasnt super active until just recently. I just didnt expect things to happen so quickly with the clomid. My work best friend and I are currently about 2.5 weeka apart and it makes me so excited. I deliver 1 to 2 weeks early so we may be right around the same day.

    Questions?

GTKY: Are you usually early or late? Early. My younger sister is ALWAYS late and it drives me crazy.

  • I agree with you guys. I’ve only been here a week but not posting much because I feel kind of lost. The sheer number of people is overwhelming compared to TTGP. Don’t think I will ever get to know everyone. I will probably be doing a lot of lurking too and participating in a few threads like this one.

@busymommy23 welcome and congrats! Hope your results were good today.
  • Thanks @safire3. My hcg came back at 222 and the nurse that called said it was within normal range. So here is to fingers crossed for numbers doubled on Wednesday.

I also agree that this board feels a bit all over the place. I think we were all just used to the ttgp board and the organization that was there. Hopefully it will grow on us!

  • @MrsMiller8588 ugh I agree - I'm already starting to drift.  Feel like i only want to participate in this thread and ticket change.  Remember when we all had that huge discussion over on ttgp about the July bmb?  The struggle is still real lol....

  • How's everyone doing? We could just do another quick check-in?

How far along are you? 6 + 5 now

How are you feeling? This morning I woke up feeling quesy and that has not gone away!

    Any recent/upcoming appointments? 9 days!!

Rants/Raves? I am just so exited for the long weekend! We are also celebrating Christmas and exchanging gifts with my family on Friday!

  • How's everyone doing?
Doing good, just attempting to get through this week.

    How far along are you?
6 weeks 5 days from my calculations, but TB app says 6 weeks 7 days. So, yeah. haha. I know @MrsMiller8588 and I are really close with our EDD!

    How are you feeling?
    Tired.

    Any recent/upcoming appointments?
    1 week away!

    Rants/Raves?
Rave: I think it is time to invest in some stool softeners. Had no problems prior to getting KU, but now its been difficult. I have been taking PNV for months now, and I've read these can cause the problem, but I don't think that's the case. I've been drinking water like a crazy, and eating foods rich in fiber. So this is getting annoying like real fast!

How far along are you? 5+1

How are you feeling? Actually better than last week. Cramping seems to have stopped and felt more fatigued last week as well. I’m having the worse dandruff and itchy scalp of my life though, which apparently can be due to pregnancy as well. How fun.

Any recent/upcoming appointments? Repeat beta tomorrow and hopefully first ultrasound next week.

Rants/Raves? I work Friday which sucks so I only get Thursday off and we will spend the day with my in laws.

@ajsanders-2 I have had the same constipation problem. I think it is from the elevated estrogen because mine started even before my embryo transfer when I started estrogen patches. I have started having a cup of prune juice every day which seems to help so far.

How are you feeling? Still pretty good.  Just waiting for the other shoe to drop...

    Any recent/upcoming appointments? First ultrasound on 12/6 at 6w3d!  I can't wait!

Rants/Raves?  Rave:  I can't wait for my 5 days off from work.  We have a lot of family get-togethers this weekend and I'm looking forward to Black Friday shopping.  Rant:  I haven't heard back on a follow-up interview on this part-time work-from-home position that I really wanted.  So that's a bummer.  I'm really trying to find a remote position especially now that baby #4 is on the way.  But it's not going very well. :/

  • @ajsanders-2 good call on teh stool softeners (seriously though..so expensive!). Maybe TMI but i have had recurring hemorrhoid issues since DS and I think it was related to constipation and digestive issues.

@canucklehead123 thanks for the reminder to bust mine out. I can still button my pants but I don't want to because the tightness of a regular waistband makes my gassy tummy actually hurt!

@Sarafuss here's hoping they are just taking their time. I am also looking for stay at home part time "make your own schedule" work-data entry would be amazing, or something like that-but I am having no luck.

How far along are you? 4 +5.

How are you feeling: pretty good overall. nauseous off an on, and it hit me pretty hard today. Not too tired yet, but crampy and gassy and heartburny.

Any recent appointments? Not til Dec 4! That one is with the low-intervention birth center so it will basically be them telling me about them, me telling them about previous pregnancies, and them giving me a date to come to a group meeting where they try and scare me and other preggo ladies away by telling us how low intervention they are, lol. I have one Dec 22 with a big hospital-its 2 hours long so I think I get an ultrasound!
Rants/Raves: I already couldn't find the TTGP thread this afternoon after checking it this morning. But...I did the dishes today? And I got all of DS's books for his advent calendar at the library so I just need wrapping paper now and I'll be prepared IN ADVANCE. Whoa.

  • How far along are you? 4w4d. But TB has Mr at 4w2d even though i have put in EDD of July 29th

How are you feeling? Still good. A little bloated and gassy. Is GasX safe to take??

Any recent/upcoming appointments? 8wk appt and that will occur mid/early December

Rants/Raves?  Rant - i loathe the disorganization that is happening on other threads. Common, keep it streamlined! But with hundred or so ladies, i get it. Rant - Black Friday is days away...I’m working 12+ hours during the event itself. I hope i survive.

    @canucklehead123 @SmashJam
    @ajsanders-2 @MrsMiller8588 @safire3
im totally down with keeping up with our thread and formalizing it to keep it clean and orderly each week/day.

Also, read all your comments about oral health...and it looks like I’m Invisalign the entire pregnancy. I’m overly into brushing and flossing but i wonder how that will factor in.

    What are y’alls Thanksgiving plans??

  • @And846 Isn't July 29th a Sunday? So that would put you at 4+2 if I'm counting correctly? You have to work on Black Friday? Are you in retail? Because there is no way I would survive that right now...

We have Thanksgiving plans with each of our families on Thursday and planning on doing Christmas and gift opening with my family on Friday!

  • @MrsMiller8588 i have been in retail management for 9 years. I feel, though, the last few years are a bit insane as store opening times have crept into Thanksgiving. I was okay several years ago with the midnight or 2am opens, but 5pm on thanksgiving day is just sad.

How fun fun that you are doing thanksgiving and Christmas this weekend. All the holiday feels!!
  • @And846 I worked retail one year on black friday and it was insane! I don't like stores being open on Thanksgiving either... everyone needs a day off with their families!

  • Oh, ladies! I miss my nightly wine and after some research, i found a few brands that offer selections and they say the taste is still the same after a cold filtration removes the alcohol content.

I got a rosé, cab, Chardonnay and Brit to sample.
  • @And846 I'd be interested to know how they taste! Would have been easy to fake it this Thanksgiving and get out of telling everyone, lol.
  • @SmashJam the rosè has I’d say about 50% the taste of normal rosè. Think of a glass that’s been cut with water. Fancy juice is what I’m calling it.

@MrsMiller8588 i couldn’t agree more! Thanksgiving should be respected as a holiday and be spent with family.
  • Guys today is Thanksgiving prep day! My hubs is home and is banned from spending all his time downstairs playing video games, I get to make noodles and pre make my sides and dip, and make one final grocery store run because, of course, I forgot baby carrots and chopped frozen spinach. And all the meats are brining/curing. And the kitchen is one final dishwasher filling from being ready for company. Busy day!
  • @SmashJam whats on the menu for thanksgiving dinner?

  • @SmashJam that sounds amazing!!! I saw a recipe the other day about adding cooked and chopped bacon and sautéed onions into the green bean casserole. I think i may try that.

Major or kudos to you on being so prepped for the big day!
  • @And846 I don't often eff with the gb casserole but that might be worth it! Yum. @busymommy23 I am making turkey and ham, turkey noodles, gb casserole and stuffing. Also spinach dip for an appetizer. My mil is bring squash and mashed taters and pie and everyone else is bring apps or dessert and wine. So much food for the 6.5 of us!
  • @SmashJam oh that all sounds wonderful. Im cooking our dinner on Saturday and cannot wait.

@canucklehead123 whatcdod you doblast month for your thanksgiving?
  • @And846 my sister is cooking dinner for the family tomorrow. So it will be a somewhat relaxing day besides making the cornbread casserole that we have to bring. What about you?

  • @And846 lol I think I can still interpret that.  We had dinner at a friend's - only had to make the pie so we got off pretty easy! I don't know if it's just my family, but Thanksgiving seems to be a bigger holiday in the States than in Canada.
