I just... I cannot get up in the morning to save my life anymore. I can't MAKE myself. Was 12 minutes late to work today because I kept resetting my alarm for two more minutes. I have been on time once this week. Once. Thankfully my manager seems to be ok overlooking it as long as I make up the time on the other end which hasn't been a problem. God, I'm so tired. I really think my body is telling me it's time to get done work, but I can't afford it.
I'm starting to feel super sore, like I've been punched in the stomach all day long. He had his knee or elbow in a super weird position yesterday and now that he's moved, that spot is screaming. I don't remember being this uncomfortable last time.
My legs just ache at night. Like the dehydrated I drank too much last night ache (I’m drinking on avg 5 Nalgene bottles of water a day so I don’t think it’s dehydration). I’ve been taking magnesium which seems to help but dang it’s annoying!
I got out of bed a half an hour later than I usually do this morning, so I feel you, @auntieraindrop and @burnsmommy27! The hair is up in a bun and the makeup is minimal today. @schaze, I said the same thing to DH last night...this kid is making me WAY more uncomfortable than his sister ever did. I feel like he is all elbows and knees poking me constantly!
@JuliaGoolia719 I feel this completely. I've contemplated taking magnesium but haven't pulled the trigger on that yet. I have found that drinking something with electrolytes, like propel or gatorade, at night helps some...I also have been stretching at night, like old school gymnastics/dance on the floor (which should be entertaining soon), and that helps some too. Anything to get my legs moving and more blood flowing helps but sucks in the middle of the night to walk around for a few minutes to feel like i can lay down again without the cramping.
Recently everything in my pelvis area feels soooo loose. Like when I roll over I can feel all the bones shifting. I know muscles are supposed to loosen up, but this feels so strange. It feels like nothing is really connected.
I'm super struggling with eating. I'm not eating enough. I am not wanting to eat. I forget to eat. I don't feel hungry. I don't understand because last time I was always hungry. This time. Not so much. Like, I didn't get time to eat before my OB apt on Monday and then by the time we were done and they were making me do an NST scan I still hadn't eaten and it was almost noon and they were pissed that I hadn't eaten. I feel like I shouldn't admit to that, but I am.
@supercoolstephy I'm not that way in the morning but I definitely am that way at night. From 5-11 am I'm starving, but after I eat lunch...I could go the rest of the night without eating. I'm not sure what the deal is there, but I feel like I have to force myself to eat something at night a lot of times. Maybe try something easy like a shake or protein bar in the mornings or periodically that doesn't take a lot of effort, but will get you enough nutrients and calories to feel like you are still eating "right." (I hate to say eating right because I'm totally not judging and I feel like saying it that way makes it judgy...I hope you get where I'm going with that)
Thanks @conineml I'm trying to do that. I picked up a muffin package and I had one this morning. Of course it gave me heartburn because everything gives me heartburn. haha. But I might start prepping shakes for myself.
@conineml@supercoolstephy my appetite also tanks in the evening. I don't know why. I haven't been forcing it, I eat plenty during the day. I do keep drinking in the evening.
Also on the not wanting to eat train. I eat just so I don’t feel sick in the middle of the night, not because I want to. Nothing ever sounds appetizing and I never feel like cooking. Blah.

My insides hurt. Like I've done too many sit ups or this LO is kicking the shit out of mw, which she isn't. Anyone else sore on the inside of your stomach?
@supercoolstephy I think definitely during 1st tri heartburn was my deterrent to eating at night. Now that I have a RX for prevacid (which btw is a lifesaver and I totally should have asked for sooner....I know some are against meds but I would totally look into it if you are having it every day like I was) I'm not really sure what's keeping me from eating. I think now it's more of the room I have to store food since LO is expanding...I'm hoping smaller meals later in the day helps so maybe the shakes will help since it shouldn't take up as much room. @burnsmommy27 I'm not sure I would say sore exactly, but I think it is pressure from LO. Mine's not kicking the shit out of me either but she's pressing against things and it doesn't feel good...
burnsmommy27 yes to the sore tummy! I came into this thread to mention it too!
I have an anterior placenta (in the front) so I don't feel a lot of movement, but I'm often sore in the stomach region like I've done sit ups and crunches, which I totally haven't. It seems to be worse certain days, but I haven't tracked what type of day (busy at work or whateves).
I'm going to assume it's a combo of baby movement and body making way for the chunking up dude. :-)
@burnsmommy27 same here on inside belly pain. Baby isnt really kicking so much anymore, just constantly rolling over...and over...and over...in the process she is pushing EVERYTHING out of place!
For those of you suffering the heartburn -- if zantac/tums aren't cutting it, my OB recommended nexium and it is LIFE CHANGING. It says it might take 1-4 days to start working but today was my first day and I had ZERO heartburn. Like, felt like a normal person. All day!! No backup tums required!!!!! I'm in love.
I feel all sinus stuffy and can't quite breathe, but it's not worth blowing my nose because it does nothing. And I've had the bloody mucus thing a couple times too, like I'd had a bloody nose except I haven't. I'm also crashing hard at work around 2-2:30pm. I just want to put my head down and take a nap. On Tuesday afternoon my boss made us all watch this webinar that was only relevant to the leasing guys who didn't even show up, and I kept nodding off and doing the head-bobble-snap-up thing. It doesn't help that DH has been sick and turns into a bit of an asshole MOTN when he can't fall asleep - oh I need more room move over, I'm too hot I'm gonna pile all the blankets on you til I want them again... If it's that bad then actually go lay down on the couch instead of waking me up muttering about it at 1am! Baby has been doing lots of weird twists and stretches. Sometimes it hurts, sometimes it's like he's pushing down on my cervix/bladder/idk.
@aleedee I hear you on that girl! I switched to Prilosec and same thing, 1-4 days for effect, and my heartburn is literally GONE! I do not reach for Tums and the bottle of Mylanta just sits there now haha. But I am NOT complaining in the least and I am loving life right now lol!
Feeling just plain FAT today. A pair of scrubs that had been treating me fine two weeks ago feel too small everywhere now. It’s getting really hard to remember I’m pregnant and not fat:( LO gave me a a giant jab to remind me this morning I guess. She tents to push at wherever my clothes are pushing in.
Beyonddddddd TIRED. These past two mornings I have woken up and seriously debated not going to work. Thankfully I had a crazy day yesterday at work that forced me to get up and today I had a 9am meeting. But now that it is 10:24, I am over it lol.
@JuliaGoolia719 and @conineml I'm with y'all on the leg pain. I drink at least 100 oz of water plus milk everyday and have a Gatorade every 1-2 days. I'm also taking magnesium. Mine is mostly on my hips and the outside of my thigh. When I got a prenatal massage she said my IT band was really tight. I've been trying heating pad, stretching, and took a bath last night. It seemed to be helping but the last two nights were the worst. Both hips were hurting so bad all night long no matter what position I tried or getting up to hobble around for a bit. Also, my cavles were cramping, my knee hurt at one point, and even my wrist was bothering me.
I found out yesterday I was exposed to fifths disease so I stayed home from work (I don't know if it has spread to more people). I'm waiting on a call back from my doctor. I really hope I don't have it because it can cross the placenta to the baby. Complications only occur in 5% of pregnant women who get it. My mom doesn't remember me or my brothers having it when we were kiddos so I might be more at risk. Dr. Google told me there is a blood test they can do to look for the antibodies and that this will likely result in additional monitoring. FX I don't have it.
I feel really awful this morning. Fortunately, I'm leaving work in a matter of minutes for a nice long day of fetal monitoring, followed by a visit to my OB this afternoon, so it's a light day, but UGH. Feel awful. Having upset stomach problems, a very bad ear ache, and just general exhaustion. If I wasn't pregnant and had to do a zillion things today, it would probably have been a "call out sick day" for me.
@kelk5 yes baths have helped me as well especially with an epsom salt or other mineral salt that helps with fatigue. We're almost there! We can make it!
Good news no fifths disease for me. Apparently, they already checked when doing blood work earlier in pregnancy and I have the immunity to it. Huge sigh of relief.

SAME, except I'm sort of the opposite -- I've just felt fatter most of the pregnancy, and now I'm starting to feel like I might look externally pregnant. But the baby hates anything that pressed into my stomach or pelvis, which is every single pair of pants I own. Also she pushes against my underwires on the rare occassion that I wear a bra with an underwire. She does not like having her space encroached on.
Also, on the "not able to wake up" train. This morning my son came into my room at 7:20 (A FULL FOUR MINUTES BEFORE MY SNOOZED ALARM WAS SET TO GO OFF) and said, "Mom, are you ever going to get up? It is a school day? Did you set your alarm for 7:30 again?"
Mostly, he just wanted me to show him how to toast a bagel.
This numbness and swelling in my hands wrists and arms is driving me nuts. It was just at night while laying down but no progressing to during the day. So uncomfortable and getting painful and difficult to grab and do things with my fingers feeling like I’m going to drop everything. Talked to doc about it and she’s said it’s just nerve related and will go away right after birth. Yay burn ugh that could be 6 more weeks!

I ended up going to the chiropractor for the pain in my hands. It helped tremendously.
Hate to break it to you @witchwai but if it's carpal tunnel it may not clear up immediately after birth. I can clearly remember holding my daughter with numb hands. It took about 5ish weeks to go away. Massage did help it though
Anyone else experiencing super dry skin/puffy eyelids. Ugh...I know it’s getting colder, but I’ve never had red dry patches all over my face before during winter, so I’m guessing it’s a winter coupled with pregnancy thing?
Baby has shifted positions and is now pressing on my sciatic nerve. Yay. I think he's still head down? I think he's just switched from facing my right side to facing forward-and-left. Also something he's doing hurts my bladder. Not the have-to-go feeling, but actual OW.
