Like crap!! Lol. Nothing tastes good and my stomach doesn't feel good. We went to a wedding last night and the plated dish was super fancy and disgusting to a pregnant woman. I'm hoping these first tri symptoms are almost at an end as I approach week 11.
Not feeling great, my stomach is always off and my elevated heart rate makes it hard to stand still for too long without feeling awful. I am still getting random cramps at least a few times a day.
I have always enjoyed exercise, but since the second month, I haven't been able to work out at all. I take my dog on a lot of walks but that's it. I really feel like I need to get back to the gym but feeling so crappy, I don't see it happening. Does anyone have any tips? Will the second trimester be so much better and I'll be able to work out again, or do I need to just figure out how to work with what I'm working with?
@diadem_l I think you'll notice a lift in the 2nd trimester and working out will be no problem. (Especially since you had an exercise routine prior to getting pregnant.) I have trouble 1st trimester but not 2nd or even 3rd working out.
Add me to the feeling crappy train. I sucked it up and spent the $100 for dicelgis. The unisom and b6 just wasn’t cutting it and I knew the diclegis would. Apparently my insurance doesn’t cover it, and the doctors office called in a coupon so it wasn’t $300. I need to talk to them more about it tomorrow. (Eeeeek appt tomorrow!!!)

Poop. Just feel like total poop. I'm beginning to think I have HG and not just bad MS. Meds worked for a day or two and now it's not cutting it. *sigh*
I feel bad even whining because so many have it so much worse than I do. Unisom and b6 plus strategic eating has my nausea at bay. Still super particular about what I can eat, but at least it consists of real food now in week 9 bc week 7 and 8 was crackers and ginger ale. I had one episode today where I threw up 6 times in a row, but it was my own fault for not eating as soon as I woke up. That was my first time actually vomiting, as opposed to just nausea. I am still exhausted but not bad compared to weeks 7 and 8.
My blood pressure is low, I feel faint when I stand too long, my pulse is high, my gums are puffy and bleeding. However, my boobs are not sore and have never been. Strange.
I hope everyone with the nausea and vomiting find some relief in the very near future bc I can only imagine having it worse, and I know so many do.
Fingers crossed for a quick week so we can all be one week closer to feeling better.
Saturday night, I woke up throughout the night to vomit. I had only been nauseous up to this point and the doctor even said it was unlikely that I'd go from nauseous all day without vomiting to vomiting, so I'm slightly worried that I had a stomach bug or food poisoning. I could barely eat yesterday and took the teeny tiniest of sips of ginger ale throughout the day- but really couldn't do anything. My DH was a rockstar taking care of the munchkin all day- and I felt like a horrible parent when I couldn't bf her all day- but I was too dehydrated.
I haven't been sick since, and the on call doctor said she wasn't concerned. My uterus is still super sore, but better than it was yesterday. Hoping that whatever it was- MS returning with a vengeance, 24 hour stomach bug, or food poisoning clears up soon. Looking forward to 2nd trimester- so sick of feeling sick. I really feel for all of you poor ladies that are dealing with this regularly.
My nausea mostly faded after week 8 (as it has in my past pregnancies), but the exhaustion is still strong.
Pregnancy dreams are in vivid and this week have included (in no particular order): Pennywise the Clown, the new house we're buying, telling a friend I'm pregnant, being chased by a masked man, and a guest appearance from Daffy Duck.
The worst thing right now is that I have a horrible cold that I can't shake. I have woken up the last two nights due to severe congestion to the point where I can't breathe. I can't wait to feel healthy again.
Oh, and it's still a little ways down the road, but I figure I'll have pregnancy related carpal tunnel again since I did the past two times. I need to figure out where I stashed my wrist braces before it comes back.
First Son - born 2013
Second Son - born 2014 - Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS) and Double Outlet Right Ventricle (DORV). First open heart surgery at 5 days old. He's had 3 open heart surgeries and several other procedures and is currently doing amazing. Third Son - due June 9, 2018
I have been getting tired everyday by 11am even when I manage to get 10 hours of sleep (yes I fell asleep around 7pm a few days last week and feel so old).
(Knock on wood, but) I think my severe exhaustion is starting to pass. MH was so impressed I stayed up past 9:00 last night. However, I'm having the weirdest gas lately - it feels like little tickles or bubbles moving around. ALSO, so many twinges/cramps in my ute for the past week or two.
+1 for being exhausted! I am usually a night owl. I went to bed at 7:30 on Friday night and slept until 8:30. And I still felt exhausted all day.
I hope all of you that are sick start to find some relief. I was concerned about not having many symptoms but after seeing that everything is on track I am thankful that I haven't had it too bad.

The unisom and b6 has helped with some of the nausea but not all of it. I'll take what I can get though. I am just exhausted all the time. Our heater broke last week when it was 14 degrees in the middle of the night. We've been getting quotes because 1 quote was 8k for a new boiler. Got a space heater which has helped for sleeping at night.
My teeth hurt. Bad. I don't have great teeth but they're clean. I use at home dental tools to clean them, I use sensitive tooth paste, I use mouth wash. I have had 1 cavity in the past 13 years. When I moved across country, I gave up great dental and health insurance. No dental now. So it figures I have horrible tooth sensitivity and I feel constant pain in one tooth. Food bothered me before---now it hurts to eat. Guess I will be looking into dental clinics.
Similar story over here. I haven't vomited, but my stomach feels crummy every day off and on. It is guaranteed to be bad in the morning, and then it is off and on throughout the day. Exhausted and impressed with myself if I make it past 9:30pm.
@Lolalipsy I'm sorry you're feeling sick! Are you having the gassy thing or the stabby stabby ute pain? I'm not so worried about the gas, but the stabby/crampy is really doing a number on my anxiety.
I haven't been sleeping well, I have to get up every two hours to pee. I've never gotten up in the middle of the night before. I'm trying to tell myself it's good practice... *sigh*
@galactickates With you, girl. I used to wake up to pee once a night, maybe twice if I took my vitamins before bed and thus drank a ton of water. Now it's like every 30-45 min, no joke. And if DH so much as breathes wrong, I wake up, feel like I desperately need to pee, get up and then realize I'm STARVING, and then I'm up. Like, wtf.
I puked within two minutes of getting out of bed this morning Now all I want to do is go back to bed (SO tired), but someone has to keep DS alive. So i am counting down the minutes to nap time. And praying he takes a great, long nap
My pregnancy nose has been on overdrive this weekend. So many smells! I’ve also started to get a real bump not just bloat. It’s only noticeable if you know what I looked like before but it’s making pants ultra uncomfortable. I feel like it’s way too soon but maybe it’s because this is baby #3.
+1 to the peeing every 30/45 mins club and random stretches and pulls in my uterus.
Add me to the sucky sleep/weird dream camp. I can't fall asleep even though I'm exhausted all day, I toss and turn all night, can't go back to sleep after my son wakes up in the middle of the night and if I wake up between 3 and 5, I feel super nauseous. I have to go have a small glass of O.J. and some saltines before I can sleep.
And I've been having crazy, vivid dreams. The latest was me seeing my best friend in the passenger seat of a passing car, holding her newborn baby up to the window so he could "see where they were going." Then I confronted her (in the dream) and we get in a physical fight over it...wtf...haha
Particularly nauseous today and very tired. I had to run some errands this morning because we needed crucial things like diapers and laundry detergent. Started gagging in Sam’s but narrowly held it together. Back home with DS and working on getting him down for a nap so I can have one too.
Just like with my daughter’s pregnancy, I’ve been put on Zofran to battle my nausea. Food doesn’t taste that great, so I’m just eating what appeals to me. OB said last week I should expect my nausea to continue my whole pregnancy, like it did with my daughter. I appreciated her honesty, because the Positive Patty’s that told me “every pregnancy is different” really are on my shit list right now. Nursing our toddler hurts, but it’s getting better. I’d really like her to wean herself, that was always my plan. Taking it day by day at this point. Really can’t believe time is going by as quick as it is, but anxious to get to second trimester.
@lizetteincalifornia Try eating 3-4 dried prunes a day. Once that’s not enough to help anymore , colace (stool softener) is safe and while it isn’t quick acting, when taken daily it will be quite helpful!
Still extreme fatigue, especially after my progesterone pill, I can't wait to start weaning off that Wednesday. I'll only be taking it once a day (at night a couple hours before bed) so that should help with how I'm feeling. The nausea which was at its height weeks 7&8 has died down. Its only really noticeable when I'm hungry, so like every 3-4 hours, and in the morning. I definitely can't brush my teeth on an empty stomach. So that's a change to eat & drink then brush.
@lizetteincalifornia it is depressing but true... as @lisa2589 said it's best to stay ahead of it as much as possible... Colace and prunes. I am not a fan of prunes (and don't think I could stomach them right now) so you might want to add some prunes or prune juice to smoothies if you are in the same boat. Staying ahead of it will help to avoid hemorrhoids too... so ya know more fun to come.

Ugh. Hemorrhoids. I’d never had one before and one appeared at 38 weeks. It was so terrible. At my 39 week exam, my mid-wife took a look and said “Oh. Bless you.” When a midwife/Mom of 4 can’t fix their face, you know it’s bad. That dang hemorrhoid was more traumatizing than actual labor for me. It makes me want to cry thinking about it, especially since I’m likely to get another this time around. Crazy thing was, it wasn’t caused by constipation, it was the pressure of my 8-lb baby on my bottom. Which also meant the only cure was giving birth.

@Ash9614, that sounds terrible. I hope you can avoid that this time around.
I am still feeling awful. Nausea is worse and constipation is a thing now too. I’m having so much trouble having a balanced diet. When I can eat it’s usually carbs or something random that sounded good like chicken nuggets or California rolls. I’m still only 8 weeks and didn’t start feeling like crap until 9 weeks last time so I’m hoping this doesn’t get worse

Has anyone noticed a lack of stretching cramps? I'm 11 weeks today and haven't really felt any in the last week or so. I had been feeling quite a bit of stretching up until then. Can someone talk my PGAL brain down from this?
