Stranger Things *spoilers*

Ok, like I said, I am not all the way through the season yet, but will probably finish up in a couple of days.  I am just really super confused on if the people working at the government facility are actually good or bad!

    I'm not quite done with season 2, so I'm doing a drive-by before the spoilers drop.  I just have one thing to say:

    Leave Will alone!  Damn, poor kid.

    I'm on 5 or 6, but the lab people make me mad. I feel like they're bad...but also maybe like they're just doing "experiments" to help themselves not others.  

    Max's stepbrother p's me off.

    Also, did anyone notice after saving Hopper, how clean looking he was?? Lol

    @psuxray07 Yea I figure they have to be bad in some way because of course they can't be good.  But then it seems like they are trying to fight/contain the thing.    And yes, can't stand that stepbrother!!

    The new government people are definitely there for their own good. And Max's step brother is literally the worst, which was the goal for his character since they made Steve so nice. I just started the behind the scenes episodes, but am only really watching the ones with characters I like. I honestly was disappointed with elevens storyline. It felt like they were just trying to keep her busy to delay her and the group getting together.

    This isn't my typical go-to show, but DH turned it on yesterday and we binged-watched the entire first season lol.  It has a good balance of sci-fi and reality for me.  Now I can't wait to start watching the next season!

    **SERIOUS SPOILERS BELOW**

    So I don't think the government people are good nor bad really. I just think they are stereo-typically stupid. {I'm a federal employee, I can say that  :D} They have no idea what they are messing with nor any clue about the ramifications of it. ...and they get their comeuppance. 

    Poor Will man... He goes through the ringer. They do a good job of having him be the 'spy' for the Thing!

    I agree about the disappointment with Eleven's role this season. It takes until the final episode for her to really shine. All the side story about her sister and her sister's crew and 'papa' being alive foreshadow a story line for season three.

    Max's brother is insane. He's clearly abused by his own father and takes it out on Max. In the end the seem to give us the impression that they have a cold truce... she almost took his favorite body part off after all!

    I'M SO SAD ABOUT BOB!!! He was literally my favorite character this season!!!!!

    What are your thoughts about season three? Will it focus on eleven and her side story? Will it still be about the Upside-down? Will it still take place in this town?

    @ladythrice I agree with everything you said!! I do think that papa may come back somehow in the upside down. Also, I think season 3 isn't going to be nearly as good. This season really wrapped things up. And I think they are going to struggle to keep the story going without it looking like they are trying too hard. Somehow the gate will have to open again and the shadow monster is going to come back. Hopefully he will leave Will alone.

    @bchalm, I'm with you. If they open another portal and season three is all about the shadow monster coming back AGAIN then I'll give up... Let's move on and do something different Stranger Things writers!

    Am I alone in thinking this season was a let down. I just couldn’t get into it. Bob was the best part. He’s one of my favorite characters on any show ever.

    I'm pretty convinced by the fan theory that the monsters in The Upside Down are related directly to Elle.  It explains why she just disappeared when the Demigorgon disappeared.  I think that little line towards the end of season one about XMen #134 is foreshadowing (the issue where Gene has to deal with The Phoenix, which is a psychic entity within her own mind that gets out and destroys everything).  Wether she is directly creating the Upside Down, it is channeling her, or somehow they are melded, I don't know.

    Oh I hadn't even thought that eleven might be causing/creating/whatever the upside down.  Do you think that eight will pop back up in the future?

    Maybe she is part of the upside down but if she was we would have a repeat of "if we get rid of the upside down, we have to get rid of eleven." Which is a find storyline, but they kind of already did that with Will this season.
