If this post is in the wrong place, I'll move it but wasn't sure where else to go. Last night when I got off work, I went to the ER. I have been having pink and brown discharge (sorry if tmi) for a couple of days and cramping since the weekend and I feared a MC. Being my 4th pregnancy I never had these symptoms before. An ultrasound was done and the doc said I appeared to be 5 weeks, though I should be 8 weeks. They checked blood and everything else, and HCG levels are high still, nurse says I'm still pregnant. Of course I'll be following up with OBGYN but has anyone else had an ultrasound say they weren't nearly as far along as presumed and still half everything come out ok? (Cycles are like clockwork).
Re: Confused, more questions than answers
ETA: This possibly could have gone in the weekly questions thread? I'm not sure though.
Edit to add: I’m assuming I ovulated later than normal. I know it’s nerve wracking, but I have to remind myself that today I am pregnant.
At my first ultrasound (at 7ish weeks) the measurements had about a 5 day variance based on what angle the doctor was measuring at, which makes me think that at this early stage it's really hard to measure accurately, especially when they're all curled up like a shrimp.

My story sounded a lot like yours....complete with a "congrats, everything looks great, just a little early!"..... unfortunately my ending was not a happy one.

FWIW, you don't need insurance to see a physician and establish at an OBGYN if you're not already. You can't be denied care based on your insurance status.
