Introduction

Hola Ladies,
I am 39, have PCOS and TTC for some time. After my husband and I got married in January 2017, we made it our priority to try. After going to my OBGYN and trying clomid a couple of times he referred me to a fertility clinic to see a RE. After our consultation and labs, I was diagnosed with PCOS and vitamin D deficiency. I have since been on metformin took some high dosages of V-D In September we attempted a mini IVF and prescribed femara, then switched to follistim when there was little response and no follicles growing. After the follistim switch I had some follicles growing about 6ish. I was then given ganrelix and finally the trigger shot on 10/14 and Egg retrieval on 10/16. I had 5 mature follicles where all fertilized 3 made it to day 4 and didn’t grow anymore. The RE had no explanation other than sometimes that happens. Now we are taking on a full IVF and started BC on 10/31 and will go in for my first lab and ultrasound on 11/20. We took out a loan and I am just so nervous about it all. Reading how many women go through various cycles it is incredible.  I received my medication list and have to choose a pharmacy so that the loan specialist can send them the $ and I can order my medications. I just received my for quote of $6470! My husband was of course in shock but he has been nothing but supportive. This cycle I have been prescribed Gonal F 150 IUs Menopur 150 IUs. I worry that I will go through this full Hi stimulation IVF and end up with no embryos to transfer. My IVF package will include PGS which I hope helps prevent implanting abnormal embryos. Sorry for info overload, but I am anxious, nervous and ready! Any words of advice or sharing will help. Thanks in advance hope to find a buddy for this cycle  :) Andy

Hi @andy805 welcome but sorry you have to join us.
Why don't you pop over to the November IVF thread as we have several ladies who are only starting stims in the second half of the month and will cover retrievals etc  in December too as most REs aren't offering cycles in December due to closing for holidays. So you'll have plenty of company :-)
