Crap I just had a bad feeling after I posted this that it wasn’t supposed to be posted on a Monday which for some reason I had in my head it was supposed to be. I read the organization thread and sure enough it’s supposed to be on a Wednesday. Shoot. What thread do I change it to?
@tammy574 the last appointment thread is a week+ old and already on the second page of results, so I think this is totally fine. I think we forgot to do it last week, so no worries! The weekly threads, honestly, should just be restarted when they get overwhelmingly long, IMO.
Ok to explain my above comment I changed this from PGAL to a Weekly Appointment thread.
I went in today for bleeding I had on Friday and I had an ultrasound and the baby is fine and dandy. So relieved. Still nervous about why I had the bleeding but so far no explanation.
Just got back from my first ultrasound! Baby is looking great, heart beat was over 160 bpm. We got to see it, but not hear it. Apparently the latest guidelines say that in order to hear sound, the wand produces too much heat for an 8 week fetus. Seeing it was enough for me! We took a video that I think I've watched maybe 15 times. I feel like I can finally breathe a little.
@buffalove1211 I'm so glad you mentioned the reason why! Our doctor didn't recommend we try to hear the heartbeat and I didn't ask why and I've been wondering ever since. I was only 6+5 at the time, glad its a standard thing!
Me: 32 | DH: 36
Married June 2005
1/2016 - TTC#1
4/2017 - Initial RE visit, Dx: Severe MFI (Varicocele, 14% motility, 3% progression, but normal count)
7/2017 - Stage 3 endometriosis discovered during laparoscopic removal of ovarian cyst
9/27/2017 - BFP at 10dpo (cycle 22), baby boy due June 9, 2018
We had our first ultrasound today. All looked great. Measuring right on track, due date of June 12th was confirmed. Heart beat was around 180 bpm. We got to see it and hear a couple of seconds of it. It feels so real now and I feel so much better after seeing my little blob.
Had my first US today. Looks like a little gummy bear. Heart was beating like crazy, but I was so caught up in the moment I forgot to ask what the HR was. Duh. Next appointment in 3 weeks for the cell free DNA testing. And fetal Doppler on the OUTSIDE of my belly! Eeeee!
First appointment on Thursday! I can not wait! It hasn’t felt real since I haven’t had any appointments or much by way of syptoms. I’m hoping my lack of symptoms isn’t anything to worry about.

after this ultrasound, I *should* be done (if all goes well) till the anatomy scan at 18 wks. I'm not going to know what to do with myself waiting 7 wks after all these scans we've had!

@doxiemoxie212 I didn't have anything except some repeat bloodwork from the NT scan/bloodwork stuff. But that's not routine. I think the anatomy scans usually start between 17-20 weeks.

Nothing happens at 16 weeks where I go unless you do the integrated screen or quad screen. Anatomy scan is at 20 weeks for us. We don't get the option for materniT21 or anything like that where I'm at. Bummer.
So after being in total denial that I was pregnant (TW-loss in Sept 17-end TW), I finally went in for betas yesterday and it came back at 36,000. They want me in for a dating u/s tomorrow since I have no know LMP. I am so hopeful and so incredibly nervous at the same time. I am finally allowing myself that this is for real...
GL to everyone with appointments this week! (and YAY for everyone who has had appointments already this week!) I will be stalking the ultrasound thread to see updates of all of our little babe
@krashke with DS I had almost 0 symptoms. All was well with him! @doxiemoxie212 Nothing happens during that time for me either. Anatomy Scan is done at 20 weeks for me. @buffalove1211 That's so interesting about the heat from the wand! Is that the transvaginal or just the regular wand?
I have an appointment on Thursday morning also! My symptoms have been there but not super strong the last couple weeks so I am excited to go in and see the little peanut and how much it's changed over the last three and a half weeks!

Went to my appointment, it was short and sweet and she sent me for stat blood work and an ultrasound. Blood work is done, but waiting for the ultrasound now. She's concerned because my hcg didn't double when my labs were done last week, and because I had more spotting over the weekend. I get to go back after the ultrasound to wait for the results.
@izza2 FX everything goes perfectly and that little baby is growing just how it's supposed to!

@PatientlyWaiting10 it was the vaginal wand. She said when I come back next month (12 weeks) I will get the regular doppler. Now I'm hesitant to use my at home doppler frequently this pregnancy since things have clearly changed since I was pregnant in 2015. I'll likely go with 'everything in moderation'.
The OB was pretty stuck on my hcg levels, which she shouldn't be at this point, so I'm just kind of not putting as much stock in that as she is. My hcg was 15,000 last Monday, and was 30,000 today. She made a comment about it doubling in 48 hours, and everything I've read online and in my class books (and others have told me) just does not go with that. So... But I had an ultrasound, and the baby is measuring right on track, and there's a heartbeat! ~150 bpm! I cried when I heard it, of course!
GL @sabby2!!! Enjoy seeing that beautiful little baby!!!

So it wasn't technically an appointment- but I just had my standard blood work done today. They took soooooooo much blood! It was 13 vials and a urine sample. The tech even said she felt bad for me and hoped I had a good vein. Figured this was a good place to comment on the HUGE amount of testing that is being done on us. Hope everyone has good veins & positive results.
Good luck to everyone having appointments today! and Yay for those who had positive appointments this week.
I’m happy to see so many appointments going well this week, hoping we can keep it up!
I had one on Tuesday and got to hear the heartbeat (180) and found out that I have an anterior placenta.
ETA: @krashke I schedule my appointments in the afternoon for the same reason, but then I’m a distracted ball of nerves all morning. Sending you good vibes today!
@napqueen I had that with DS. It was always a ways away from my cervix and didn't cause any problems. Hopefully yours doesn't either! The only thing I read was that it can keep you from feeling baby as early as some might. I think I first felt DS around 15-16 weeks where I could feel DD around 13.
