I think the new trend of sharp claw like nails look terrible.
Same. I just got my nails done last night and my sister got that. I still prefer rounded. As a side note, am I the only person who didn't know that you can just get acrylics over your natural nail and dont have to get tips glued on??? These are my wedding nails by the way.

I think most new trends look terrible. Like in 5 years, people are going to look back at their cat nails and thick eyebrows and question their choices. I may be the odd one, but I don't follow trends. And on the days I actually do my makeup, it takes me only a couple of minutes and it's never wild or crazy.

I was a raccoon for most of highschool so I'm not one to talk. I don't wear make up but maybe once or twice a year now.
@suchaglencoco Same. Especially considering the "new" trends are usually just recycled from previous decades when they looked just as bad the first time around! I went to pick out glasses frames yesterday and it took forever because I hate the Sally Jessy Raphael look that's back in, for some unexplained reason. @ivyvines6 Your nails are gorgeous!!!

@suchaglencoco I was picked on all throughout middle school for my thick eyebrows so that is one trend I'm happy about! I hate most every other trends though. Especially everything that's going on with men's hairstyles. With the shaved sides and weird floppy tops or tiny ponytails. It grosses me out
@ivyvines6, high school is high school. Unless you're a politician, nothing you did then should be judged in adulthood.
@fraufarbissina, I think natural, thick eyebrows are beautiful, but I hate that women think they need to change their eyebrows up to look better. What a weird concept. And some people do it to the point it looks unnatural. Like Cara Delevingne's eyebrow, I dig them because that's what is natural for her face.
I would get my brows microbladed if it cost less and required less upkeep. I rarely wear makeup but when I do, I fill in my brows and give them more shape. I'd be stoked if I they could look like that every day with little to no effort from me on the daily
My UO - I dont mind Christmas decorations out before Thanksgiving. I personally don't decorate for Christmas until the day after Thanksgiving, but I don't mind seeing it in stores or if other people do. I AM addicted to the cheesy Christmas Hallmark Movies though. I love them!
I’m not a Beyoncé fan so I was disappointed to see she was cast in the live action Lion King. Although I’m not really sure how I feel about a live action Lion King movie in general...considering it’s a story about animals.

I was literally about to post that I think she's overrated...

How are we going to skip over Donald Glover being cast?!?! Love him!
I can’t stand those sappy videos that come across my FB feed where they tell you their sad story with a bunch of index cards. It doesn’t pull at any heart strings, it just annoys me.
@arteduc8 Agreed. My mom really wanted me to have one, but we're team green anyways. But I've been forced to go to gender reveal parties and it just feels like AWing to me. Especially if you have to go to showers for the same baby in a few months.
Why can’t I GIF on my phone? 1. @mld921 Mariah Christmas album is amazing and I love that song too. 2, I’m having a hard time with the Beyoncé hate. I need a minute. #queen 3. I hate gender revel parties too but isn’t how that crazy thread started on that other board haha! - I will kind of take it a step forward, I really don’t like baby showers, or wedding showers. And if it’s your second for either of those, no. We had two cheesy extravagant showers for each of my SILs births. Two girls. Two years apart.
@curleemama32 Exactly! You get a baby shower, having a party before that simply to announce if it's a boy or girl is so AWing. I've never been invited to one, but if I ever am, I'd politely decline unless it was family. Fortunately, my family isn't into that nonsense either.
lol we had a gender reveal party for J, but I definitely wouldn't do it again. My views on gender/sex have changed since then, and it's not really a trend here that I have to keep up with.
Sex reveal parties don't bug me unless you're asking for gifts in addition to a shower. I guess I'm in the camp I don't care cause I just wouldn't go if I didn't want to. Same with second showers. Eh I just wouldn't go if I didn't want to but sometimes people like buying baby gifts.
I do have a UO I think about baby showers. If you're going to make people sit and watch you open gifts then at least have some other entertainment and maybe booze. A recent baby shower I went to had no entertainment but 2 + hours of watching mom open presents. I just walked out early.
@curleemama32 I sing "How does a moment last forever?" to my son every single day.
I have an animator friend who gets offended when people call the new Jungle Book live action, because almost everything in it is 3D animated.
Do I have a UO that I want to share? Maybe that Beauty and the Beast is my favorite fairy tale ever. Is it about abuse/Stockholm Syndrome? Maybe, but I love it regardless.

@arteduc8, I'm not a fan of gender reveal parties either. I don't mind people posting on FB what they're having but I have no interest in attending one. They were talking about them on the radio a few days ago. One woman called to complain that they are great and people love going to them. She said she has 4 children and had a reveal for all of them. He most recent was at a ballroom and had 250-300 people. She said she spent $4000 just on the venue.

Good grief! Talk about overkill! I didn't even have that many people at my wedding!

One trend that I am loving is the fun hair colors. I would totally dye mine a silvery blue if I didn't work in a stuffy corporate environment.
