What's your EDD? How big is baby?
7/3/18 size of a lavender bud

How are you feeling? Any specific symptoms yet?
I have to pee a lot but that’s pretty much it. I surprised to learn this is a normal early symptom and only thought it was later on haha

    Any appointments scheduled?
Yes I go in 11/27 to meet with our nurse and we will most likely do a dating ultrasound since I had to have one with DD due to irregular periods

    Rants/Raves?
I’m excited but nervous but working on remaining optimistic.

    Questions?
    nope

GTKY: How did you tell your SO?
I called and told him couldn’t wait to do any cute thing

What's your EDD? How big is baby?

7/7 but my cycles range 28-32 days so it may get pushed back a day or so.

How are you feeling? Any specific symptoms yet?
Tired, a lot more tired then with my first! A little nausea which is so weird bc it s still early and again didn't have MS with my first so hoping to avoid that again! RLP is for real this time though!!

    Any appointments scheduled?

dating ultrasound scheduled for 11/20. Excited to get that done before thanksgiving so we can tell our immediate families.

    Rants/Raves?

WHY am I so emotional!!! I find myself getting irritated or upset much quicker these days, so frustrating!

    Questions? Nope!

GTKY: How did you tell your SO?

I bought my son a best bro ever t-shirt on our way home the day I confirmed with 937391010 pregnancy tests. We just walked in the house as if nothing was going on and waited for DH to notice! He was shocked but not too shocked as we were trying this go around, with DS that was a complete shock and I didn't tell him in any cute way so was excited to be able to do something this time!

What's your EDD? How big is baby?
July 3rd, in theory. Appleseed? Or peppercorn?

How are you feeling? Any specific symptoms yet? They've started so early! Smell aversions, extreme fatigue, and heavy/sore breasts. I was hoping to go until 8 weeks with nothing again, but I think I'm being given constant reminders that the baby is in there. <3

    Any appointments scheduled?
Next Wednesday I have my first US. I don't know why my OB was insistent on seeing me at six weeks, when two months ago she was like "any time between 6 and 10 is fine! How about 8?" Maybe because of the loss? Still, it feels too early to see anything. I'm afraid there won't be anything to see and I'll freak out. I lost at 7 weeks last time and didn't get to see the baby, so I'm hoping seeing something will put my mind at ease.

    Rants/Raves?
Stranger things 2 gets my rave! SO GOOD!

    Questions?
    Nah

GTKY: How did you tell your SO?
I texted him. So boring! A month and a half earlier I got a faint line and did the whole thing. A big sis shirt for my daughter, a cake that said "Im totally pregnant!" Then it didn't end up sticking. This time I got a faint ghost of a line and told him I was going to get a blood draw to be sure. The next day I got the call, and I texted him right after. To be fair, we'd had an argument the night before and I was still mad. So we're gonna have a do-over celebration after we see the baby. If we see the baby.

@lindsayleigh1989@kinslersmom I did the same thing with my first! I burst out crying from the flood of emotions and called him hysterically. At least I told him to come home so I could tell him in person. Poor guy! Gets a crying, hysterical call from his wife in the middle of the day: "Come home! NOW! Yes, I know what time it is! Just get here NOW!"

    EDD:

July 7, I guess baby is approximately the size of a chia seed or something like that

    How are you feeling?

Meh. I’ve had some nausea which is new for me. Also some cramping that’s irritating but not super painful. Also, I’m kind of ragey which is lovely.

    Appointments:

Our office does a visit with a nurse first and then a week later the first visit with a doctor, so I have my nurse visit on the 27th and my doctor visit on Dec 2 I think. Feels so far away

    R/R:

I’ve been kind of freaking out about having a 3rd baby. I’m excited and we wanted this, but it’s still nerve-wracking. It’s making my anxiety twitch a little

    GTKY:

I didn’t tell my husband in a special way. He was out hunting and I woke up ultra early because I couldn’t not pee any longer and took a test. I just sent him a text with a picture in it. I’m so lame.
  • TB keeps eating half my comments. :(
  • What's your EDD? How big is baby?
July 3rd so Appleseed I think
How are you feeling? Any specific symptoms yet?
Tired as a MF. My pulse has been up, but of insomnia

Any appointments scheduled? Just called, I guess they have to verify insurance first then they will schedule me?

    Rants/Raves?
    Not now anyways.

    Questions?
    Nothing really...

GTKY: How did you tell your SO?
I left my pregnancy test with a sticky note asking if he was ready to add Player 4 to our game. He’s a gamer so it was cute.

Our first pregnancy he was at his old job and up for a promotion. I was scared to death because I didn’t think we could afford it without him getting the promotion so I didn’t even test until I was 8 weeks. Hindsight? It was a bitch move. So I wanted to keep this one simple and sweet.
  • What's your EDD? How big is baby?
My EDD is 7/2 for now... but my cycles were a little irregular after I finished breastfeeding baby #1 and my EDD might be later in July.

How are you feeling? Any specific symptoms yet?
I feel good except I'm exhausted! That seems to be a running theme for most of us, though, as far as I've seen in other topics.

    Any appointments scheduled?
Not yet :(  I just moved to Canada for my DH's job, and I don't have my completed visa yet, so I don't have Canadian healthcare.

    Rants/Raves?
On the topic of healthcare, I do still have American health insurance, so I'm considering just scheduling my first appointment during the week of Thanksgiving when I visit my family in Utah. But I am struggling to figure out how to play it off like I'm not pregnant! My family will think it's suspicious if I just disappear without a good excuse (and I'm a terrible liar), and I am also trying to figure out how to refuse alcohol without sparking even more suspicion.

    Questions?
Fellow drinkers, how do you plan on tricking people into believing you don't want a drink without making them think you might be pregnant?

GTKY: How did you tell your SO?
I found out in the morning when he was at work, so I stole an idea from Pinterest (:  I went with a Hocus Pocus theme and got cupcakes for us to share, and I also got a personalized mug and put it next to the positive tests, but I edited those out because of TOU.

What's your EDD? How big is baby?
7/4 - The size of the heart button on Instagram.  <3

How are you feeling? Any specific symptoms yet?
Mild MS started today. Currently using apples and pretzels to keep it under control.

    Any appointments scheduled?
Not yet. I'm planning to call tomorrow to set one up. I'm assuming they won't want to see me for a while though.

    Rants/Raves?
I waited too long to buy DD the big sister shirt that Target was selling a couple months ago! Ugh!

    Questions?
    Not yet

GTKY: How did you tell your SO?
As soon as I got the BFP I grabbed DD and went to Carters to buy her a "Best Sister Ever" shirt. She was wearing it when he got home. He didn't notice it though so I had to point it out to him.
  • What's your EDD? How big is baby?
7/6, something tiny I am sure

How are you feeling? Any specific symptoms yet?
Heavy/sore boobs, super tired and thirsty, and SO BLOATED

    Any appointments scheduled?
11/16 (one day short of 7 weeks)

    Rants/Raves?
Seriously can't believe how bloated I am. Already unbuttoning my pants at work- and I am drinking so much water to no avail :(

    Questions?
Is 6w6d (est based on LMP) too early to see anything on ultrasound? I am so paranoid that I am going too early and won't see anything and will freak out. My MIL is an OB said said to go at 6-7 weeks but I am still nervous (FTM here)

GTKY: How did you tell your SO?
Honestly kind of tentatively- we weren't really planning to start trying for real until October just got lax about preventing in September so I just told him after work (I had found out that morning and been panicing all day) and he did freak out for a while but is starting to get used to the idea/get excited
  • What's your EDD? How big is baby?  7/6/2018--baby boy(s)

How are you feeling? Any specific symptoms yet? Sore boobs, and a little exhaustion. I had HG with my 1st son and am nervous for it to start again.

Any appointments scheduled? beta HCG and progesterone levels look good. Confirmation ultrasound scheduled 11/21 then will hopefully graduate to OB. :)

GTKY: How did you tell your SO? We have to do IVF to get pregnant and even then I have had 4 very early losses in 2 years so I told him the day I found out at 3 weeks 2 days because we are terrified of another loss.
  • @devilcat139 Last pregnancy I wasn’t offered an ultrasound until 20 weeks! (Canada/limited ultrasounds in area.)
To be honest, pregnancy comes with a lot of anxiety. Take each day as it comes. I think what you’re feeling is similar to my last pregnancy, not being able to hear baby’s heartbeat at 12 weeks (which is completely normal but still causes a lot of fear.) Listen to your MIL and try to breathe! ❤️
  • @emsnedds You could tell your family that you have a UTI and have to go to the doctor? Then you can’t drink alcohol. Depends on how nosy they are! :)
I drank a lot of alcohol but pretty much quit drinking for personal reasons about 3 months ago. So I don’t really need a different excuse now!
  • @devilcat139 with my first I went around that time and was able to see a little bean and hear his heartbeat so it sure definitely possible! I'm going at about 7.5 weeks this time so hoping for the same!

What's your EDD? How big is baby?
July 5th :). Baby is an apple seed!

How are you feeling? Any specific symptoms yet?
Cramps, small bouts of nausea, fatigue, sore boobs, thirst, crazy dreams, constipation- surprisingly no bloat

    Any appointments scheduled?
Just got home from our 3rd appointment and 4th ultrasound- finally saw a sac and yolk sac, so far so good! Now the u/s tech is convinced I have a heterotopic pregnancy, so time will tell! I have another u/s next Friday for h/b and follow up.

    Rants/Raves?
I know she is just doing her job but I had the coldest u/s tech today. This woman has been convinced I have an EP on my right side since 3+6... If there's truly an EP on that side then she's a damn wizard.

    Questions?
None yet, unless one of you are in possession of a time machine, or crystal ball perhaps?

GTKY: How did you tell your SO?
Over the phone a few hours before he was meant to come home from work- I couldn't wait  :D. I tested at 8DPO and the line was so faint he asked to see a new test so he could compare lol
  • Fellow drinkers, how do you plan on tricking people into believing you don't want a drink without making them think you might be pregnant?
@emsnedds I've always just taken the drink and pretended to sip then dump it when I can! It's easiest with DH, well "share" a drink or I'll be the "designated driver"

What's your EDD? How big is baby?
    EDD is July 4th.

How are you feeling? Any specific symptoms yet?
Boobs were really sore last week. Less so this week. Today I feel as if a flu is coming on - totally exhausted despite 8 hours of sleep.

    Any appointments scheduled?
Nov 20th for ultrasound. Dr wanted it to be scheduled for 7 weeks, but due to work travel had to schedule it at 8 weeks. I also got one when I went in for my pregnancy confirmation appt (*TW* due to previous MC at 6.5 weeks *end TW*) and saw the sac, which was cool.

    Rants/Raves?
Loving the gorgeous weather today. Trying to enjoy it and not stress about what my HCG tests will show - find out tomorrow.

    Questions?
    None right now.

GTKY: How did you tell your SO?
We were on a long weekend trip in the mountains. I thought it was too early to test, but did the FRER anyway and I literally just called my husband from the bathroom to say, "Um, well, I'm pretty sure that's a line..."  Then we had an awesome breakfast on the porch looking out at the view.

@emsnedds I have taken a minimalist approach. Just say nothing and don't drink, but don't make a big deal of it. I have been surprised by how many times others don't ask or say anything. Went wine tasting last weekend and didn't drink and no one said a word (although I had prepared an excuse in case.) Somehow not putting it out there makes people feel awkward about raising it. But your mileage may vary...
**edited since I previously hadn't written that I *hadn't* prepared an excuse when I meant that I had. Thanks, autocorrect.
  • @acunamatada DH doesn't drink, so I plan on dumping it in the toilet when I pee for the 100th time.
  • What's your EDD? How big is baby? EDD is July 6th. Baby is a the size of a poppy seed.

How are you feeling? Any specific symptoms yet? I feel fine. I had no morning sickness first time around, I'm hoping to be lucky this time too. Just getting a lot of RLP already. Didn't think I would get it this early though. Boo.

Any appointments scheduled? Here we only confirm at our GP and then we have a scan around 12 weeks and then we aren't seen again until 20 weeks. We are 12 weeks at Christmas so more than likely our first appointment will be in the new year.

Rants/Raves? The spots are returning. I hate it. Rave: I told a few people in work and it's so cute how protective they're being already.

    Questions? Nope.

GTKY: How did you tell your SO? I peed on the stick, went downstairs and threw it in his general direction. Meh

This is a very good point... my best friend (BEST FRIEND) kept her pregnancy a secret from me for 6 weeks and there were MULTIPLE opportunities for me take hint or guess. Play it cool and no one will know!

(sorry for yelling- I was full of emotion about not knowing for so long.)

That's a really good idea! I was actually thinking of making an appointment for my daughter to have her vaccinations done at the same time and maybe my husband can just drop me off at the obgyn while he takes her for shots. That way they will just think we left for her appointment. But your idea also solves the drinking problem lol.
And that's awesome that you don't have to come up with a new excuse for not drinking now that you're pregnant!

@adventuresawait1 this is great thinking. I am a terrible liar and I cannot keep a straight face, especially when I'm excited about something (please never ask me to plan a surprise party lol). If I don't say anything and nobody asks, then hopefully I can get away with it.
p.s. Super impressed you went to a wine tasting and didn't make anyone suspicious when you didn't have any wine

  • @emsnedds I was surprised, too. But
happy not to have to make an excuse.
  • What's your EDD? How big is baby?
July 3rd, by LMP.  Baby is the size of an orange seed (per the "What to Expect" app)

How are you feeling? Any specific symptoms yet?
Not awesome.  Kind of all-day sickness at this point.  No real appetite to speak of (except craving guacamole, lol) and sore boobs/constipation/really tired.

    Any appointments scheduled?
Yes - I have my first ultrasound on Monday.  Then my OB Nurse Appointment on the 21st, and another ultrasound on the 27th.  I had orinally only had the appointments on the 21st and 27th scheduled, but am on Lovenox injections for clotting issues and my OB wanted to do an ultrasound earlier just to check things.

    Rants/Raves?
Hubby is being amazing and patient with my complete lack of interest in food.  Not easy to deal with when we share cooking for the family.

    Questions?
    Nope!

GTKY: How did you tell your SO?
I tucked the pregnancy test in his medicine cabinet and then kind of hid out in the bedroom after he went in to change clothes after work so I was standing there when he came out.  He was all smiles!
  • EDD/Baby size

July 5, I think yeh baby size is about as big a black peppercorn

    How are you feeling?
Am just super tired, felt a little sick yesterday during a staffing, but other than that I have been fine.

    Any appointments scheduled?
Our first one is December 12, it seems so far away

    Rants/Raves
My husband is amazing and has helped in anyway he can!

    Questions?
    none

GTKY: How did you tell your spouse?
He looked at the test first and said it was negative, I went in the bathroom and looked at it saw a faint line. I was really convinced so the next I went and got a digital one to be sure. I got busy around the house and with my son, so when my husband came home he’s the one who saw it first.
  • @emsnedds same with the minimalist approach. I just don't bring it up and walk around with a glass if I feel conspicuous. Hubby takes a drink of mine every now and then, NBD. People watch you far less than you'd think. We feel self-conscious because it's a big deal to us, but most people don't analyze others that much. If I go to a bar with friends I'd ask the bartender for a virgin when people aren't paying attention, and keep a glass of something my husband likes on his side when out to dinner and he'll just sip mine from time to time. If it's unavoidable, I'd just tell to be honest. We're having new friends over for a dinner where they're specifically bringing lots of wine to go with the food (the boyfriend is a wine buyer) so we just told them, because it would look weird if it was just the four of us and I wasn't doing the thing we were getting together to do. ;)
  • What's your EDD? How big is baby?
Due 7/9/18, I guess my baby is the size of a pin tip?
How are you feeling? Any specific symptoms yet?
Super tired. I have major pregnancy brain going on too!
    Any appointments scheduled?
Scheduled my first prenatal appointment for 12/11, and I had blood work done confirming pregnancy. I will make my first US appointment at 7 weeks.
    Rants/Raves?
Just fucking tired and I have already gained 5 lbs....
    Questions?
    Nope
GTKY: How did you tell your SO

we we’re on our way to a rehearsal for my brothers wedding and I said I got a call to reschedule my regular physical appointment, and instead I said I needed to make my first prenatal because I had a positive pregnancy test. I got it all on video and his reaction was too sweet when he heard!

July 6th baby is the size of a puppy seed!

How are you feeling? Any specific symptoms yet?
Feeling tired, and a little gaggy/nauseous to certain smells. Oh and sore boobs.

    Any appointments scheduled?
first appointment scheduled for December 1st! Soo far away!

    Rants/Raves?
Still in shock I got a positive test! Also I'm wishing for some more symptoms to ease my anxiety!

    Questions?
    Nothing right now.

GTKY: How did you tell your SO?
I wrote on a piece of paper-Daddy, I'm going to be a big brother and had my son color on it and then show my DH the paper when he got home from work! He was happily surprised!

  • What's your EDD? How big is baby?
    7/6 I think.

How are you feeling? Any specific symptoms yet?
i actually feel fine. Occasional cramping and rlp ALREADY, but nausea isn’t too bad yet.

Any appointments scheduled? Next Tuesday! 11/7

Rants/Raves? Super excited to be a stm- definitely feel like I know what I’m doing and what to expect this time around.

    Questions? Nope

GTKY: How did you tell your SO? He was at work so I texted him. Same as baby#1. Also had a super light positive (same as #1) in my first test so I was like I *might* be pregnant. Lol

GTKY: How did you tell your SO?

  • EDD- July 2, 2018

Symptoms- severe bloating, tender nipples, and spiraticly sharp cramps.

First US scheduled for Nov 10.

Told my fiancee by placing 6 coke bottles in the fridge I had ordered that read... Mike & Tabitha plus baby 2018. I woke up before him and had it all set up. He loved it!!!

  • @christycalifornia  You're probably right.  My friends and most of my family probably won't even ask as long as it's not completely obvious. I feel like maybe my sister-in-law would be looking for signs, though, because she is always asking when we will have our next baby. If I feel like it's inevitable that she'll find out, then maybe I'll take your approach and just tell her from the start. That way I can swear her to secrecy and she won't ask me questions in front of everyone else.
P.S. I desperately need a friend who buys wine for a living. I bet that will be awesome next summer when you have your little bundle of joy in your arms and out of your tummy

  • What's your EDD? 7/1/18

How are you feeling? Any specific symptoms yet? Horribly bloated, starved, aching boobs, exhausted!

Any appointments scheduled? Dec 5th is my first appt.

    Rants/Raves?

    Questions?

GTKY: How did you tell your SO? Just handed him the test...lol. It’s his first child, my 4th (3 boys with my ex)
  • @emsnedds ooh, yeah. It gets trickier if you have someone with a vested interest in your uterus around. :D And dude, I know! Hubby brings home random bottles of wine all the time because his coworker will just bring in bottles they've sipped from or not opened at all because THEY HAVE TOO MUCH WINE IN THEIR HOUSE. I've never heard of such a thing before. That's enough to make me wanna quit teaching and be a wine buyer.
  • What's your EDD? How big is baby?
    -7/3/18 / Appleseed

How are you feeling? Any specific symptoms yet?
-So tired! Naps are happening. Also, my chest is very enlarged and sore, but I think that might be from the progesterone I am taking.

    Any appointments scheduled?
-Ultrasound on the 17th! We are planning on telling the parents after that.

GTKY: How did you tell your SO?
-I just told him. I would have loved to do something fun, but since he knew I had a blood test that morning, he was waiting for news.

    What's your EDD? 7/4/18

How are you feeling? Any specific symptoms? Bloated, tired, nauseous, and my boobs are awful (well they hurt anyway. They look great...). Also, I am so forgetful, which I don’t remember happening with my first pregnancy.

Any appointments scheduled? Nov 27th. First dr appt and ultrasound

Rants/Raves? Rant: My sister is due with her second baby in a couple of weeks and I am so emotional about it with the new pregnancy hormones. She has a DD my sons age and I just keep thinking about how fast their “baby years” went by. Ugh, I’m a mess. Effing hormones.

    Rave:
    Stranger Things 2!

Questions? ETA: Screen name is fixed

GTKY: How did you tell your SO? My period is always pretty regular, so the day it was due and didn’t come, I took a test (I have been off BC TTC since August). It was negative. So were tests 2, 3, 4, 5, and 6. Lol. I told my DH about it on Friday night, because it’s so weird for my period to be late and I wouldn’t be pregnant. Last Sunday, I finally got a positive HPT. I walked downstairs where he was watching football, handed it to him, and said “You know how I said I wasn’t pregnant? I lied”.
