Re: Wednesday Ticker Change - 11.1
35 weeks, honeydew melon
2) How are you feeling?
I finally know what you guys are talking about with LO being all up in my ribcage.
3) What's up this week?
I start my weekly, WEEKLY, appointments tomorrow. And the GBS test, which I'm not looking forward too. Before this pregnancy, I had never been to the gyno, so everything is a shocker to me.
4) Anything you need to catch up on?
Thank you notes. I feel like I just finished them from our wedding a year ago, and now I have them all over again.
Oh and LO's Xmas stocking. I'm cross-stitching one and I am running out of time.
5) Rants/Raves/Questions?
I had a pre-natal massage. If you can manage it, I would totally get one. They had this giant foam pillow with a space for my bump and my boobs! I haven't laid on my stomach in months and it was awesome.
6) GTKY: Now that Halloween is over, when do you typically decorate for your holidays? Listen to music? Shop?
I stole this from Jan'18's ticker change, but I just love all the holidays. My house is already covered in Thanksgiving decorations and I'm hoping to host Friendsgiving again. As for shopping for Hanukkah and Christmas, I might have to do it all online on black friday this year.
2) How are you feeling? I feel surprisingly good. I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop and it hasn't yet...
3) What's up this week? No appointments this week. I am supposed to be monitoring my BP at home as it's started creeping up (gestational hypertension with DS) but I haven't been diligent with it. NEED to do that today before bed.
4) Anything you need to catch up on? Cleaning? Stranger Things? So many different things falling by the wayside - some more important than others lol.
5) Rants/Raves/Questions? Randoms/Rant - I really really really need to finish up my closet cleanup. I am so abd about over-enthusiastically starting a project and then just stopping midway. I completely cleaned out the guest room closet, but now everything is just kind of on the guest room bed waiting for me to finish. AND I need to go through my "main" closet as well. I have shit from college that 1. doesn't and probably won't fit again and 2. Is from college so it's either old AF and falling apart, kind of slutty, from forever 21, or all of the above. WHY do I hold on to this stuff as a self-proclaimed minimalist? So much easier to throw out DH's stuff than my own!
6) GTKY: Now that Halloween is over, when do you typically decorate for your holidays? Listen to music? Shop? We typically travel to visit our family on Thanksgiving so I like to decorate for Christmas the weekend before so it's all nice and done/or a good start when we get home. This year my mom is coming up the weekend of the 11th and we're decorating. I need the help (DH is going to be working more and more weekends as the holidays approach and I am busy with work during the week) and that's when she can come so that's when it will get done! I'll usually hold out until after Thanksgiving for Christmas music with the exception of listening while I am decorating! ETA - I have already started shopping. We'll leave all gifts with the appropriate hosts when we're in town for Thanksgiving + I'd like to finish up soon with unpaid maternity leave looming in the not so distant future.

1) How far along are you? How big is baby? 35 weeks, a pineapple
2) How are you feeling? good! Still dealing with puffy feet and ankles, but I'm just used to it now.
3) What's up this week? not much. Had an appt yesterday but it was canceled because my doctor's office lost power in a recent storm we had here. Rescheduled for next week. It's kind of fun that appts are weekly now.
4) Anything you need to catch up on? My shower is on Sunday so I'll have a ton of catch up to do after that... thank you cards, organizing gifts, buying stuff that I didn't receive yet...
5) Rants/Raves/Questions? ... which brings me to my rant. I am so happy that people are buying stuff off the registry but it seems like people are just picking a few "fun" things and leaving off a lot of practical stuff. Stuff still on there are crucial things like bottles, bottle brushes, shampoo, lotion, diaper rash stuff, car seat and stroller stuff...
6) GTKY: Now that Halloween is over, when do you typically decorate for your holidays? Listen to music? Shop? For the first time ever, I actually went out and bought Thanksgiving decorations this year. You guys, I'm totally a mom now. Last year I went from Halloween to Christmas and November was awkward, so I did it right this year. I'll decorate for Thanksgiving this weekend. After Thanksgiving I'll decorate for Christmas. I'm also a strict Dec 1st person when it comes to Christmas music. I love it and don't want to get sick of it by listening to it too early. And Xmas shopping I'll probably do once I'm on maternity leave so I can break up my day and get out of the house a little bit.

32 weeks - a squash of some sort.
2) How are you feeling?
Well.. I was feeling good...
3) What's up this week?
Was in a car accident Monday. So annoyed.. I'm okay, baby was monitored for hours at the hospital but he looks okay. Saw my OB after.. now I just follow-up with that stuff..
I have a baby shower this Saturday and my husband is having is friends over Saturday for a diaper and keg party. I am making them chili for dinner.. Just need to go one day at a time right now.
4) Anything you need to catch up on?
Thank you cards. Getting baby's room ready.
5) Rants/Raves/Questions?
Not sure I have any...
6) GTKY: Now that Halloween is over, when do you typically decorate for your holidays? Listen to music? Shop?
I want to shop now! I really would like all my Christmas shopping finished by December 1.. I really don't want to be rushing around super pregnant in December and potentially in the snow. I just want to curl up and relax for that month before I have the baby.
33 weeks. Celery
2) How are you feeling?
great- just a little sleepy
3) What's up this week?
No appointments for me. But my dog is getting surgery on her ACL tomorrow- it’s going to be fun carrying her up and down the stairs etc the next few months....
4) Anything you need to catch up on?
oh all kinds of things. Mostly cleaning
5) Rants/Raves/Questions?
rant- our toliets are all breaking. One started gushing water this morning. Ugh
6) GTKY: Now that Halloween is over, when do you typically decorate for your holidays? Listen to music? Shop?
typically the day after thanksgiving... but I might start early this year. I hope to have all gifts bought by Black Friday / cyber Monday.
@flowerpower5838 you make me feel less like a freak for wanting to decorate ASAP. Are you going to put your tree up on the 11th weekend too?
@peachy13 that's why I love that Canadian Thanksgiving is before Halloween (usually the 2nd weekend of October) because all the fall decor kind of jives with halloween decor so I do it all up at once... then once halloween is over I can jump RIGHT into Christmas hehehe DH hates it!
@dilbert890 being in a car crash must have been so scary! I am so glad you two are alright!!
1) How far along are you? How big is baby?
34 weeks! um... I havent checked haha
2) How are you feeling?
tired and huge. and like I cannot imagine how this child has 6 more weeks of growing to do because it feels like she is already taking up my entire abdomen.
3) What's up this week?
The ILs just left this AM, and I am sad. I love them. I got a lot of organizing and stuff done in prep for baby/holidays so thats good!
4) Anything you need to catch up on?
Need to finish her baby blanket and ALL THE CHRISTMAS THINGS!
5) Rants/Raves/Questions?
I reorganized my deep freeze and realized holy shit I have a tonne of stuff in there. I had been just stashing soup and other meals for after baby here and there over the past couple months and now it's taking up almost half my large deep freeze haha so I guess that's done!
6) GTKY: Now that Halloween is over, when do you typically decorate for your holidays? Listen to music? Shop?
Well.... Usually I wait until Dec 1.... but considering I'll be over 38 weeks pregnant then I am planning on starting ASAP. I actually just got back from shopping and scored a bunch of stuff so that makes me happy! I would really like to go out and cut down our tree sooner rather than later. I work this weekend, so hopefully DH will be down with going next weekend. Our current living room has 2 storey ceilings so we can get a HUGE tree and I am hoping DH let's me

2) How are you feeling? - Exhausted and huge
3) What's up this week? - I have a NST tomorrow, I've been going weekly since having pains over my c/s scar, plus the positive Ffn
4) Anything you need to catch up on? Sleep
5) Rants/Raves/Questions? I'm just so uncomfortable. Obviously want this little man to stay cooking, but wow, I do NOT remember being this uncomfortable with my girls.
6) GTKY: Now that Halloween is over, when do you typically decorate for your holidays? Listen to music? Shop? When not pregnant, decorations, Christmas music, etc all start the day after Thanksgiving. We are going to get our tree in 2 weeks so it's up. I shop year round for Christmas and this year, I'm almost all done!
2) How are you feeling? By the end of the day my hips and back are ANGRY at me. The last few nights have been uncomfortable for sleeping.
3) What's up this week? Finishing the last few items in our kitchen reno. I ordered the light fixtures today, and picked up the paint for the walls and backsplash. It will be nice to be totally done with that in the next week or so.
4) Anything you need to catch up on? uh, everything? Work, cleaning the house, getting ready for the baby, getting fall clothes for my other kids (DD really loves to wear dresses and leggings and I'm realizing she has 1 LS dress...)
5) Rants/Raves/Questions? I'm so behind on "baby prep" - I need to organize a couple closets and take some inventory, and then I can buy the few things we need and set up the baby's room, but I haven't found a minute to get that started (or finished) so I'm just feeling like I'm in limbo and WOEFULLY unprepared for this baby, aside from a single outfit for her to come home in, a car seat, and having the boobs to breastfeed with. But that's all I'll need right?
6) GTKY: Now that Halloween is over, when do you typically decorate for your holidays? Listen to music? Shop? I host thanksgiving, so I keep it fall around our house until then, but once that weekend passes I'll dive right into Christmas decorating. Music however my start sooner, I really LOVE instrumental Christmas music (Chris Botti, Vince Guaraldi and others) and I find it really relaxing, so that may come on sooner.
2) How are you feeling? Heartburn is in full effect. Not sleeping well, and I am having this weird face pain--I think it is sinus pressure, but the pain also radiates through my molars. Really not fun.
3) What's up this week? no appointments. Just trying to get some stuff done in the nursery
4) Anything you need to catch up on? work(grading, mostly), and the baby's room.
5) Rants/Raves/Questions?
6) GTKY: Now that Halloween is over, when do you typically decorate for your holidays? Listen to music? Shop? Our Halloween decorations are really fall decorations, so they mostly stick around through Thanksgiving. I usually start decorating for Christmas right after Thanksgiving, though we usually wait a little longer to get our tree. This year I think we will get it early, though. I always shop early, and I'm almost done. My husband is anti-Christmas music before Thanksgiving, but I love it. If they put it on the radio early, I will listen.
@dilbert890 Glad you and LO are ok! That must've been scary.

@failuretofly growing up we had a tree in every room, I kid you not, and they were all themed. Now would be a great time to start your themed tree on the fake one! My favorite was the kitchen themed tree, since there are so many fun ornaments out there for it.
