Re: Due Date Check-in (wk of 10/23): Second Week of May 5/6-5/12
How far along are you? What size is baby this week?
11w6d! Somewhere between the size of a lego minifig (11 weeks) and a chicken mcnugget (12 weeks)
What symptoms are you having?
Nausea and exhaustion mostly. I'm taking Diclectin which helps the nausea a bit but makes the tiredness worse. I got a solid 9 hours sleep last night and still couldn't drag my ass out of bed this morning and feel like I'm in a fog.
Rants/Raves:
Not really.
Any questions this week?
I am totally busting out of my pants right now and can't do any of them up, but I also can't feel anything that feels like my uterus. Am I "showing" now or still just bloated and fat? This animation seems to suggest that maybe I'm feeling my guts being pushed up by my uterus which is... gross.

GTKY: What was your first job and what lessons did you learn from it?
I worked at Sobeys (grocery store) in the deli/prepared foods section. I was mostly in charge of making the fried chicken, which suuuucked. They had this giant garbage can of raw chicken parts that I'd have to root through to find 12 breasts, 12 ribs, 12 legs etc. I wore gloves but it was still so unsanitary because of course my bare arms would get totally covered in chicken blood from digging so deep in the bucket. I learned never to eat the fried chicken from Sobeys!
How far along are you? What size is baby this week? 12w1d baby is the size of a wine cork, which is ironic because I could really use some wine right now...dang it all.
What symptoms are you having? Nausea at night and early in the morning. Headaches. Round ligament pains when I move too quickly.
Rants/Raves: I know it's early and most people will side eye me for saying this, but I swear I felt the kid move the other day. I mean, I know what it feels like since it's my second pregnancy, and it was very very slight, but it was right after taking off my super restrictive underwear and it was like baby was happy for a little extra room, lol!!
Any questions this week? This is also very early to be thinking about, but my first was a healthy but only 4 lb preemie, after my water spontaneously broke at 35 weeks. My doctor says I am higher risk of having another preemie since my first was. Has anyone else had this for their first but went full term for their subsequent pregnancies?
GTKY: What was your first job and what lessons did you learn from it? I worked at a pizza restaurant. I learned responsibility (I was made an assistant manager very early on) and how to make a perfect pizza!! Mostly, it was cool to have my own spending money in High School.
What symptoms are you having? Bad headaches, some cramping and rlp.
Rants/Raves: I'm movement stalking. I felt my second at 14 weeks.
Any questions this week? Not particularly
GTKY: What was your first job and what lessons did you learn from it? I worked at halmark and I learned that I hated working at halmark.
11+5 today. Bee hummingbird today but will change on Wednesday
What symptoms are you having?
Mostly just still some nausea and sore nipples
Rants/Raves:
Just waiting for next appointment
Any questions this week?
GTKY: What was your first job and what lessons did you learn from it?
Subway and I learned I can't work in fast food.
12 wks. Plum size.
What symptoms are you having? Hardly any. I get bloated if I eat too much and have stomach aches sometimes.
Rants/Raves: I have my NT scan in 1.5 hours! Cautiously excited to see the baby looking like a baby.
Any questions this week? Not that I can think of.
GTKY: What was your first job and what lessons did you learn from it? I worked at a summer camp (that I went to when younger) as kitchen staff. I learned that I couldn’t handle the pressure of being a waitress, so I just always cleaned dishes and pots/pans instead of waitressing. I was the only one that couldn’t cut it and everyone wanted to trade with me bc they hated doing dishes. I’m really good at dishes now at least
Also, looks like most of us were in food related first jobs ha. (Except Hallmark!)

11+6, I guess still a key lime? Not sure.
What symptoms are you having?
Still. Fucking. Nauseated. Please, just make it stop. Still really sore and sensitive boobs and nipples. Bloated Constipation. Headaches. Dizziness. Basically, I'm just a big lazy ball of misery.
Rants/Raves:
Rants- See symptoms LOL Also, my sister texted MH at 12:30 this morning (because she knows my phone is on do not disturb) and had him come wake me up because she thought her son was having stridor, and wanted to know if she should call the pediatrician. She's a Physician's Assistant.
*TW loss*
She lost a son right before him at 30 weeks, so I try to keep my patience with her, because I obviously have no idea the anxiety she deals with after going through that.
*end TW*
And then I had a really hard time falling back asleep.
Any questions this week?
Nah
GTKY: What was your first job and what lessons did you learn from it?
My sister and I cleaned my dad's dental office once a week. Vacuuming, dusting, deep cleaning. I hated it, and learned that working sucks, and it's called work because you have to do it even when you don't want to.

11 weeks 2 days. The bump says lime!
What symptoms are you having?
No symptoms really anymore. Still a little moody, but honestly, I’m moody even when I’m not pregnant.
Rants/Raves:
We signed our lease for our apartment we’re moving into next month. Still keeping an eye out in case we can find a house to rent instead but I feel better that we have at least somewhere to move to in a few weeks.
Any questions this week?
no questions!
GTKY: What was your first job and what lessons did you learn from it?
my first job was at Cold Stone Creamery. I learned that the smell of warm peanut butter will linger in your memories forever and that singing when you get a tip is extremely degrading haha

-11w2d. Brussel Sprout or Poker Chip.
What symptoms are you having?
-nausea (back in full force), can't sleep, see saw of constipation and diarrhea, extreme fatigue, sore back... Etc etc lol
Rants/Raves:
-I also just want to feel normal again. But I know symptoms are a good sign so I'm grateful for that. I have a duet busy week at work though, including traveling so I'm a bit nervous about how that will go, considering all my fatigue. I'm going to tell my boss tomorrow (she works in a different city so it's the second time I'm meeting her in person but we have "drinks" planned for tomorrow night)
Any questions this week?
-Is anyone feeling WORSE than the last few weeks? I seem to be
GTKY: What was your first job and what lessons did you learn from it?
-Hostess at Red Lobster. I learned that people are demanding, hospitality is a thankless job and that I'm pretty good at organizing a team and ensuring there is an efficient flow of people going in. I worked there for about 4 years and left as a bartender.
@curleemama32 I believe you
@lincbeesmom @sandbar517 I am also at the "lime" stage. But another app says Brussels sprout. Those seem vastly different in sizes to me lol.

11+2
What symptoms are you having?
Still nauseous and tired!
Rants/Raves:
So excited to have my genetic testing in progress. Once the results are back we finally get to announce.
Any questions this week?
nope
GTKY: What was your first job and what lessons did you learn from it?
Hard question as I really didn’t work until I graduated from college. I was a contractor for a doctors office to help design new software that would be used for medical records. I learned about working independently (I was remote) and about iterative design (continuous feedback/updates/etc).
@sandbar517 (again) That is really compassionate of you with your sister to try to be understanding about her worries and anxiety. But I’m sorry you lost well-needed sleep.

This is a weekly check in for people who due the Second Week of May 5/6-5/12
How far along are you? What size is baby this week? 12w1d. Plum or apricot. @silverhope @sandbar517 @babys_2018 I totally agree on the size thing. Also they shouldn't be using a pea pod, they should use round fruits and veggies only. easier to visualize.
What symptoms are you having? All of the terrible symptoms. Nausea and vomiting all day. this past week I lost about a lb a day....so that's worrisome. I'm down 18 lbs from my starting weight (9% of starting weight). Like you guys said. I just want it to stop. I need to feel human again. I can't even function.
Rants/Raves: I was fostering a skittish dog for three weeks. She went to her potential adopters home last Sat for a 2 week trial. she got spooked on their walk and he accidentally dropped the leash. Well...after 2 days of searching we finally caught her this morning! She's in a lot of pain and at the vet now. But, so glad she's safe.
Any questions this week? NOPE. Just cant wait to feel better. But, honestly it seems like it will never come.
GTKY: What was your first job and what lessons did you learn from it?
working for my aunt and uncle at their own business. It was an eyeglass repair shop. I didn't learn any lessons, per se, except maybe that its ok to not like your spouse every day. They worked together every day, just the two of them for 30 years until they sold the business when she got terminal cancer. I am just grateful I had that time to spend with my aunt and build a relationship. She passed away a month ago.
Also, I fostered my first pup this summer. Was a very rewarding experience. I’m glad yours was found and safe and I hope she is healthy and out of pain soon.
I’m sorry for the loss of your aunt. That is touching that you will have those memories to treasure of spending time working with her when you were younger.

What symptoms are you having? Food aversions, not the same thing every day, just depends on the day, always hate coffee though, and I usually LOVE coffee.
Rants/Raves: I'm super defensive about the baby, it's #4 for us, and everyone makes ridiculous comments.
Rave: I work in an ob office, we had a rep come in offering me a great deal on free fetal DNA, we get results this week, I'm anxious for chromosomes (no reason why) but excited for gender!
Any questions this week? 0 questions
GTKY: What was your first job and what lessons did you learn from it?
Dairy Queen, I lasted a whopping 3 months before changing to a grocery store. You have to start somewhere, and work your way up!
This is a weekly check in for people who due the Second Week of May 5/6-5/12
How far along are you? What size is baby this week? 11 weeks 6 days. Chicken nugget according to babysizer.
What symptoms are you having?
Morning sickness has increased and for the last two weeks I've been miserable in the ER for fluids. I have horrible morning sickness and chronic diarrhea (TMI Sorry!). Kind of worried about weight loss from everything but the doctors assure me that my raptor is healthy and swimming away.
Rants/Raves: I just want to go one freaking day where I don't spend most of it in the bathroom. I don't want to leave my house in fear of not having a bathroom near me.
Any questions this week?
GTKY: What was your first job and what lessons did you learn from it? I worked in a haunted house. I didn't really learn any lessons.
What symptoms are you having?
Right now? cramping.
Rants/Raves: we bought a new car on Monday. First time ever having a loan for anything. Trying to build our credit. It's crazy, I am 30 and have no credit because even though I have always paid my bills, bought all my vehicles with cash I saved up, it doesn't help your credit much at all! But we are working on getting credit so that we can buy a house. :P I hate credit. It still feels wrong that in order to get good credit, you have to borrow money from a creditor!
Any questions this week?
Any other women have random brown spotting that doesn't last long and not even enough to need a panty liner?
GTKY: What was your first job and what lessons did you learn from it? Other than babysitting. I was a Santa Elf! I took pictures with Polaroids of kiddos with Santa. I learned that it feels good to bring joy to others. I also learned that boys who like you from school will totally come get their picture with Santa to try to impress you while you are working. Lol I was 16 the first yr i did it.

12 weeks 4 days
What symptoms are you having?
Just bloated and tired. Surprisingly did not throw up this morning, I wonder if it's because I took my vitamins right before bed. Otherwise I've thrown up once or twice every day! Also thinking it could be deep fried stuff making me puke.
Rants/Raves:
Not really a rant, I just have a fear of having a miscarriage. This pregnancy is life changing for me and telling my family I'm pregnant out of wedlock. Not to mention it's a big step for my partner and I.
Any questions this week?
Not really!
GTKY: What was your first job and what lessons did you learn from it?
My first long term job was at Hot Dog on a Stick, I loved it! Lesson I guess is that people can be really condescending to fast food workers or anyone in a silly uniform. Treat everyone with respect!
