  • Oh and I drink one cup black coffee each morning. I like what the book "expecting better" says about it.

Anyone wearing maternity jeans? I went to put on jeans that fit 2 weeks ago and they wouldn't zip. I'm wearing a belly band, but even that is getting uncomfortable. Im 9 weeks 2 days, I figured I could get through my first trimester maternity pant free. Is this normal?? I swear my ass is getting bigger than my belly these days. I really miss the gym!!!!

@mmb4532 I’ve been in them since my first ultrasound at 6 weeks! To be fair, I already had mine from the last time, but they’re AWESOME. No reason to put off that much comfort.
Is it too early for maternity pants since it's my first pregnancy? I'm just worried that I'm gaining too much weight. My friends all wore their regular pants until or past the second trimester.
  • What @suchaglencoco said.  The only reason I'm not wearing maternity pants yet is because I'm too lazy to go to my sister's house to get them from her.  She was pregnant most recently and we just share everything.  Plus, I think I've gotten too big not-pregnant to fit into them, and I'm too depressed to find out if that's true.  So right now I've been rocking a ton of dresses and skirts, and if I do wear pants, they are without a doubt unbuttoned and unzipped by the end of the day.  No shame.

Weird question, but does anyone ever just feel like the universe is trying to tell them something?

I had a very scary ultrasound diagnosis when I was 32 weeks pregnant with my 3rd kid. It was a growth scan because I have diabetes. Anyway, they completely freaked out because they said the amniotic fluid was dangerously low, and that my DD would most likely need to norm via emergency c section. I was told to immediately go on bed rest until my next scan at MFM. They said it was likely that she had a serious kidney disease. Well, I go back to the hospital for a check low and behold my fluid levels were on the low side, but not too low. I think the normal leve
  • BTW, that post was written at 6:00  AM and it just now let me post it. Sorry it seems slightly random!
  • @cups4 I don't think which sex is harder to carry would necessarily be the same for every individual woman. I think the old wives tale is actually that girls are harder. That's why I mentioned the PCOS stuff. Also, 9-10 weeks isn't known certain as you make it sound. Plus, I don't think we know if all the testosterone is created by the baby or if baby can trigger Mom to mke more. No to mention, like most things, testosterone production and timing varies by individual.

@justsuzie i know i mentioned the bradley method and am.excited to see another lady going for it. I am by no means "anti medication" etc. But if their method has 80% of non medicated birth, im down to give it a try!

@sparklingdiamond I'm a very nervous person and have been trying to get it under control. I listened to this lecture where the presenter said that things are never really in our control. I've heard that millions of times but something about how she phrased it resonated. She also said to think of times you've worried and consider whether it helped. Shortly before that, I'd spent a lot of time and energy worrying and planning things that never happened. I'm not even close to worry free, but it's a little better. When I start spinning I remind myself that I just have to get through it like I've gotten through every other day of my life. If religion helps in this difficult time, explore it. If not, do whatever you can to get through one hour at a time until the next ultrasound.
It makes total sense.  But I think we worry because it makes us feel like we are doing SOMETHING.  I hate not being in control and not being able to do anything.  I feel like I just sit around to find out if I will get good or bad news.
