6/16 - 6w 5d - Chocolate Chip

How are you feeling?
Like complete and utter crap. I've been MIA the past couple days here because I've been home with the flu. It knocked me on my ass. My fever finally broke, thank goodness, but I'm dealing with that weird "i'm not sick, but still sick" feeling

Any appointments this week/coming up?
Nurse appt Wednesday! Finally, something.

Rants/Raves?
Rave - I have the best coworkers in the world. They saved my butt the past three days. My principal even understood which was nice.
Rant - I feel like I've hurt this baby already with this crazy illness. They are going through so much developmentally now, and I am super paranoid, and even more worrisome now.

GTKY: How did you and your significant other meet?
We actually worked together in the same school. I was dating someone else, but always had a hugeeeee crush on him. We went out for drinks one Friday with some other co workers, and I nonchalantly put my hand on his knee (i was still in a relationship - eek), and sparks just kinda flew. I broke up with the guy i was dating that weekend, and the rest is history

How are you feeling?

on day 3 of pretty much constant nausea, almost puked in my car yesterday driving to work. some guy was glaring at me in traffic about it so i flipped him off, lol. Other than that, I'm feeling ok.

Any appointments this week/coming up?

Had my first appointment Mon 10/23, that went well. Had a bunch of labs done which are not back yet (hoping they come back before I go on vacay Monday 10/30!!). First US is 11/6

Rants/Raves?

I'm super excited to go on vacation next week with DH. We are going to see a bunch of friends and see our favorite band. Baby's first concerts!

GTKY: How did you and your significant other meet?

Actually....my grandpa hired his dad for his first/only teaching job. They were buddies for years. DH and I went to HS together, but he was a Sr. when I was a Fr., so we didn't really know each other. Would see him around once in awhile but it was always just a "hi, say hi to your dad" kind of thing. Then, he found me on FB and we started dating. Got married 17 years after he graduated HS!

EDD June 19 so I’m 6+2 today. LO is the size of a sweet pea

How are you feeling?
Awful since I reached 6 weeks- headaches, nausea all day, vomiting first thing in the morning, so so tired.

Any appointments this week/coming up?
No. But I called first thing this morning to get a prescription for the morning sickness so hopefully that will be ready today.

High school! The first time we met was sophomore year homecoming- we were in the same dinner group. We had a really big high school so I didn’t see him again until the following summer when we ran into each other at a mutual friends house. We started dating that night and have been together ever since! 14 1/2 years together; 7 1/2 years married

What's your EDD? Week/Day Breakdown? What fun food/description is it? June 17th, 6 weeks + 4 days, size of a sweet pea!

How are you feeling? 6 weeks hit me like a ton of bricks. Uneasy stomach and AM dizzy spells. Kinda feel like I've been hungover for 3 days. And the thought of hard boiled eggs (which I typically eat almost every day) is enough to make me wanna just die.

Any appointments this week/coming up? 11 more days! Nov 6th.

Rants/Raves? I kinda love having some symptoms finally because it gives me some reassurance. With DD the symptoms vanished at 8 weeks and I was a nervous wreck. Of course looking back, I should have just been happy to feel good.

GTKY: How did you and your significant other meet? We had met previously through mutual friends, but it was at those friend's wedding that I was a bridesmaid and he was a groomsman that we finally got together. And by "got together" I mean drunk make out on the party bus after the wedding lol.

@sunshineandwhiskeyglad you are feeling better! I hope you had a decent sub and didn't walk into a shit storm when you got back!

What's your EDD? Week/Day Breakdown? What fun food/description is it? 6/18 I'm 6+3 and bb is the size of a chocolate chip, or sweet pea, or blueberry, or a rainbow sprinkle but I disagree with that one because it seems so much smaller than all the other ones.

How are you feeling? I may be starting to feel the nausea. I was not feeling good yesterday afternoon/evening but that could have been due to the giant cookie I ate. But I am feeling a bit nauseous again this morning even after having a bagel and egg sammie

Any appointments this week/coming up? nope

GTKY: How did you and your significant other meet? We actually met on the front porch of his frat house in college when my roommate and I were trolling frat row with our water bottles full of captain and coke. Ah to be young.

Have a meeting to get to but will be back later to tag party and chat!

@sunshineandwhiskey glad your on the up and up but I'm sorry you're feeling that way about the babe. I'm sure every thing is ok but I know how the anxiety can get to you. Hang in there and maybe treat yourself to something. Also, when MH and I started dating, 3 years after we met, I was dating some one else and he basically broke us up. He later told me that a friend told him that he had to date me for at least 6 months because he broke us up. He jokes that he did one better and married me.

@bearmoons have fun on vacation! What band are you seeing?

@emjeve sorry your nausea has been so bad. Hopefully you get some relief with the meds!

@buffalove1211 haha I love that drunk making out on the party bus! Also, we have hard boiled eggs at work and every time someone has one near me I also think I might die.

Feeling okay, some annoying cramps and nausea but food aversions and headaches have stopped so im thankful.

How are you feeling?

Okay, just super tired. I've been sleeping so much it's crazy. I have sporadic bursts of nausea that come and go. I'll eat something and I'll be sure it's about to come right back up, but then it goes completely away and I'm fine. I was looking at my prenatal and it says it contains ginger so it might be helping me to keep the nausea in the road.

Any appointments this week/coming up?
Nope. I actually don't have my first OB appointment until Nov 16th

We met on eHarmony. We chatted for two weeks, had a first date, dated for a year and got engaged on the anniversary of our first date, and were married 6 mos later. It would be neat if this baby is born in June like EDD says. DS was born in the month we met/got engaged and this baby is set to be born the month we married.

I feel like my boss is doing every annoying thing in the world this week and I'm really struggling to manage my hormones with all the annoying things she's doing.

GTKY: How did you and your significant other meet?

He is a drummer and I am was an Irish dancer. His band was playing in a Christmas concert series that I was performing in as well and I thought he was super cute. After the show's ended we exchanged info and talked nearly every day. He had left to go home to Indiana for Christmas and work for 6 weeks before he was coming back out to Washington for another gig and our relationship really bloomed while he was away. When he finally came back out, he moved here and hasn't gone back since. Now he still plays in the concert series at Christmas time and our daughter dances in the shows.

What can I do for nausea? So far doing saltines and ginger ale. I struggle to eat saltines because they are so nasty. Any foods good for a queasy stomach? I have been surviving off of soup.

We met at a bar lol - i was working on stepping out of mt comfort zone and going out (im an introvert) and met him we had our first date 3 days later

What's your EDD? Week/Day Breakdown? What fun food/description is it? EDD June 19th, 6 weeks + 2 days, baby is a sweet pea!

How are you feeling? I have a cold that's kicking my ass. Seems a lot of us are sick! I'm not taking anything for it except vitamin c. I wanted to do the neti pot tonight but I'm so exhausted, I'm bumping from bed and going TO bed in a minute.

Any appointments this week/coming up? I have a follow up progesterone check on Thurs. My P was low so I'm on suppositories.

Rants/Raves? I relate with so much of what everyone's saying. Wanting symptoms but not wanting them. I will be very happy to get to 6 weeks + 5 days...TW - loss: my miscarriage of my first pregnancy happened at 6 weeks + 4 days and I remember passing that milestone with my DS' pregnancy was a relief.

GTKY: How did you and your significant other meet? Nut shell version: online in a chat room when we were 13. He was in Canada, I was in NE USA. We snail mailed, talked on the phone and IMed for years and years until meeting in person at 18. He moved to the US at 22 and we were married at 23.

Doing good here! Other than the general crap I posted in symptoms thread. My first appointment is this Friday and Im excited for it.

DS has been extra clingy/crabby all day and I was taking advantage of some cuddles with him when I realized how HOT he is...poor guy has a fever.

I did think of a question I had earlier but now I cant for the life of me remember what it was.

DH has 4 soccer games this week and they are all past DS bed time so we wont get to go to any.

Thinking after this appointment if all goes well to go ahead and tell both of our parents that I'm pregnant. Im also debating when to tell my boss at work, leaning towards after this coming appointment.

@sunshineandwhiskey FX for the new position! When will you hear back?
@sabby2 pregnancy brain is real! I always though women were just using it as an excuse but I seriously cant think of words sometimes.
@tepr14 GL at your appointment! We are going to tell my mom and her wife this weekend even though I haven't had an appointment yet. We will be staying with them for a friends wedding and I just don't think I will be able to not tell them.

We made it to 7 weeks! MH was telling me last night that this is a very important week for the wee raspberry. Also he said that one of the first organs it is developing is the appendix and that made me irrationally angry. Like you have more important things to be working on, sir or ma'am.

I feel like the "Why my pregnant self is crying?" should be changed to "Why my pregnant self is irrationally angry" and it would get a lot more participation.
