    Any appointments coming up?
I will have my repeat u/s on Nov 7 with the MFM.  Praying hard on that one.

    Rants/Raves/Questions?
Just nervous about a potential issue.  I don't want to talk about the issue because I don't want to be negative thoughts out there.  Just remaining positive and telling myself that the u/s is wrong and she will be okay.

    How are you doing?
    Blah see above.

    GTKY:
What are some small things that make your day better?  Getting a text from DH (he gets busy at work and can't text often).  Seeing pics of my son that his preschool posts.

    Any appointments coming up?
Friday with the MFMs.  Going to ask them to pull put the portable ultrasound machine so H can see her for the first time

    Rants/Raves/Questions?
I need Friday to get here! I'll feel much better at 13 weeks and then we can publicly announce

    How are you doing?
Ok. I've still got plenty of symptoms, plus some new ones (tmi, but my nipples are getting bigger already and I'm like, calm the F down body,  we have a while to prepare). But pgal brain is always there.  Anytime I tell someone else close to me, my anxiety flares like, "you shouldn't have done that! You're going to have to take it back!"

    GTKY:
What are some small things that make your day better? Snaps of the toddler at the sitter. They are working on a new letter every week. They read books, do crafts, and different activities to practice and learn. This week is J and he got to try some jelly beans and his face was all smiles!!

    Any appointments coming up?
    The 30th.

    Rants/Raves/Questions?
My doctors office called yesterday with my NIPT results. I was completely panicked because they said they'd only call if the results were abnormal and otherwise I'd find out at my upcoming appointment. Luckily everything is fine, she was just being nice and letting me know the results early.

    How are you doing?
Okay. I'm more paranoid today than normal because of cramping. It's mild so I'm telling myself it's normal (stretching), but I haven't experienced it in a while. Luckily I have an appointment soon to hopefully ease my worrying. I realized my PGAL stress will probably never go away (until birth).

    GTKY:
What are some small things that make your day better?
Listening to music. Putting my feet up after work.

@cups4 I know what you mean. I'm dreading making it public for that reason (well that and I'm an introvert who hates attention).

How far along are you? 10W 5D

Any appointments coming up? OB on 10/31 and MFM 11/2

Rants/Raves/Questions? I know we keep saying symptoms coming and going are normal but today really other than the one time I sneezed and had really bad RLP from the sneeze that is the only time I felt pregnant. PGAL brain even after having one child wont let me enjoy this pregnancy. It doesnt help that at my first appointment apparently my uterus was high and it ended up being a 2 hr long appointment because my OB sent me to see the ultrasound tech when she got tired of trying to get a clear picture. Ever since that appointment it just worries me like why was my uterus high? Why did I have to see the ultrasound tech who was ready to go and gave me no reassurance other than the HB was 139 and everything was fine. Tuesday cant come sooner but I am so anxious.  I really just want reassurance everything is fine. I hate the part of pregnancy where you have no symptoms for a month to two months before you start to feel the baby kick.

How are you doing? see above

    GTKY:
What are some small things that make your day better? Getting texts from my husband and from DD daycare showing how much fun she is having.
  • @sparklingdiamond We are here for you.
@cups4 I hear ya sista.  I have told like 2 people (minus immediate family). I am so afraid of jinxing it. I will feel confident at 16 weeks... Don't know why that is my special date but it's a milestone I am counting down to. That is when we are announcing.  I know it's late.
@desertdweller21seriosuly? Do they know what PGAL brain is? I would have passed out!

    Any appointments coming up?
    Nov 6

    Rants/Raves/Questions?
Pretty content.  Now time to clean out a room for the nursery.  So much to do.  I have to have it done before January. Winter into Spring is a very busy time for me as an art teacher...3 art shows.  And who wants to be super pregnant doing all that painting and furniture putting-togethering!

    How are you doing?
I still have constant anxiety but I keep it under control with meditation and positive thinking.  I still check for blood everyday which I wish I wouldn't do.

    GTKY:
What are some small things that make your day better?
When I see a kid really enjoying their time in art and super excited about how well their work is.  Happy tears.  Any pictures of my dogs doing cute things that my husband sends me.

    Any appointments coming up?
Nope. Had one yesterday and was pretty nervous about it. It was my first with the OB and it wasn't with my OB since it's a bigger practice. I asked when we'd get another u/s and he told me not til 20 weeks.  Almost started to cry and he saw me panicking. He immediately offered to bring in their portable machine to show me baby and to see the heartbeat. It was such a sweet gesture and bean looks great!
He also took the time to tell me that he knows I have a rough past, but that losses aren't the norm, especially at this stage. He wanted me to know the normal is to gave a successful pregnancy and that my past issues were the exception to the rule. It honestly made me feel a lot better.

    Rants/Raves/Questions?
We had family photos done last week and got a sneak peak of just one, but it turned out great. We also did some announcement photos and I'm waiting on those to come over to me for us to announce. We even used the stuffed animal I bought the day we were waiting for my first beta results to come back.
So any day I guess, it can be public knowledge and I'm pretty stoked for that!  Especially because I am having a hard time hiding my stomach. Good thing I don't leave the house much!

    How are you doing?
I'm feeling great. Last week I was a little down and worried about my appointment this week and worried about little bean. I definitely lost my positive attitude for a bit, but it's back now.

GTKY:  What are some small things that make your day better?
Honestly, our twins. DD can be such a sweetheart and will randomly come over to snuggle and give and baby a kiss. And DS will be up to complete no good, but will give this enormous smile so you can't be mad at him.
Their personalities are so different and I cannot wait to see how this little bean turns out.
  • How far along are you?
10w2d or exactly 10w depending on if you ask my RE or my OB.

    Any appointments coming up?
Not until the beginning of November.

    Rants/Raves/Questions?
Nope. Life is peaceful and I'll take it!

    How are you doing?
My morning sickness is getting better and it didn't get better with my daughter until 24w. So I'm losing my shit that something is wrong even though I have no indication of such. I'm still gassy, having RLP, and feel like there's a boulder in my uterus forcing everything to stretch too far already. But none of that makes me feel calm - I'm a nutcase.

    GTKY:
What are some small things that make your day better?
My daughter. She's been wanting snuggles lately and I just hold her and memorize what it feels like to hold her body close, feel her breathe, and what it's like to have her little arms wrapped around my neck. It makes me weepy.

My husband makes me feel loved every single day. He gives me my PIO injections and takes the time to love on me and thank me for doing them for our baby. He melts my heart.

    Any appointments coming up?
Not until 16 weeks, at which point I'm basically in constantly for weekly Makena injections, biweekly cervical checks, and regular monthly appointments.

    Rants/Raves/Questions?
Rave: I have a work-related conference this weekend, but these ones are always super fun, and it means I get to pick a comp day to take off next week! I pick November 1 because a local bottle shop (look up Pennsylvania alcohol laws...fun times) is showing the second season premiere of Stranger Things on Halloween night and having a themed party. My wife is dressing as Eleven this year, even shaving her head, so we are SO in. Then I can sleep in the next day since I haven't been able to stay up past 9pm in months.

    How are you doing?
Really well after last week's good NT scan. I have a little bit of energy back so I'm finally feeling productive at work, and I told my coworkers and announced on social media, so it's out in the open, which is a relief. There's always the worry, since I was still feeling great about my pregnancy at this point last time too, then everything started going wrong around 15 weeks. It'll help that this time I'll have so much monitoring starting around then, but I know they can't do much to fix anything that comes up until viability.

    GTKY:
What are some small things that make your day better?
My wife and my pets, all day every day. I don't want to be all sappy, but my wife is legit the most supportive spouse anyone could hope for, and she's SO excited to become a mom. We've been on a roller coaster for the past 2+ years of IUIs, pregnancies, and losses, but we're really hoping this little one pulls through. I just know she's going to be the best parent, and I hope I can be half as good!

    Any appointments coming up?
I see my OB again on 11/9.  I need to set up an appointment with my uncle to find out the sex of the baby.  We will probably go sometime between weeks 15 and 16.

    Rants/Raves/Questions?
My rant and rave go together today-  We went to the World Series last night, which was a bucket list item for me and DH.  My Rave is that it was a crazy energy, a rollercoaster of a game, and that I got to hear Vin Scully's voice in the stadium again.  I cried when he came out and was talking about all the Dodger greats that he has seen in his time with the franchise and it made me so happy to hear him say, "It's time for Dodger Baseball!"  My Rant is that they ultimately lost the game in extra innings and that it took us so long to get home because of the traffic.  A brushfire broke out near the stadium and they had to close one of the gate exits from the parking lot and it made it a mess. I am super tired today and drank my full 200mg of caffeine.

    How are you doing?
I am having a better week this week emotionally.  The NT scan was reassuring for me and it helped DH and I talk about the anxiety we had both been having.  Sometimes I don't bring it up to him because I don't want to worry him, but it was good for us to talk about it.

    GTKY:
What are some small things that make your day better? Nice emails from teachers I work with, hearing from former students, having a good talk with someone I love.

@sparklingdiamond sending all the good vibes I have your way  <3

@cups4 I had the same type of reaction after we announced.  Big hugs.

@desertdweller21 FX  YH gets to see the baby tomorrow!

@knw007 I hate how PGAL brain robs you of just being able to feel at peace.

@justsuzie Just make YH do the furniture hehe :p

@suchaglencoco I love that your OB was sensitive to your needs and reassured you.

@thedawkterswife glad life is peaceful for you right now.  That sounds lovely

@abhphilly that sounds great for you guys next week. What a fun outing with the added bonus of a day off.
  • @sparklingdiamond Thinking of you and hoping the time to your scan speeds by. Will be hoping and praying for good news!
@cups4 Tomorrow's Friday! yay!! Also, I've definitely noticed my nipples are bigger. I texted my husband that the other day, lol. They were on the small side to begin with so it was easily noticeable.
@desertdweller21 Congratulations on the good NIPT results! A relief I'm sure!
@knw007 I've heard with STM's the uterus can rise quicker? I don't have any facts about it, just what I've heard.
@justsuzie Put up some pics when you do finish your nursery! :)
@suchaglencoco So nice you got to have a peek at your little babe unexpectedly yesterday. :)
@abhphilly I am excited for Stranger Things! Your party sounds like a good time!
@mileswithmyles I'm so glad the game was fun! I'm sorry you are feeling the effects today though! My hubby stayed up to watch it last night and caught me up on it this morning - I'm glad I didn't try to stay up for the end (ET!)

    Nah

    Rants/Raves/Questions?
Found out today that hubby's job may transfer him back up to where we moved from 3 months ago (in 3 months). I feel like we just got settled, I JUST started a job, etc. We would have to switch OB's which makes me so sad because I love my current one. Ugh, I'm not happy about it.

    How are you doing?
I'm doing pretty good besides above. Ya'll are sick of hearing me say this but still waiting on my NIPT results like a madwoman.  :p

    GTKY:
What are some small things that make your day better?
A nice lunch, texts from my husband, sunshine!

  • @rachelg777 that would have been so late on ET! I'm sad you have to move again.  It is a lot of work!
  • Why is the Doppler reassuring some days and such a trigger the next? I have an MFM appointment tomorrow and wanted to make sure all is good. I hear Gremlin's heartbeat but all I can think, because the Doppler cam be off on the readings because she is still small right now, is shouldn't it be faster? Is that number right? Ughhh. I'm paranoid.

@rachelg777 oh no about moving! I hope you get answers, including the NIPT, soon!

@mileswithmyles I'm ragey after a game in traffic! Mom life has made me hate late nights lol

@abhphilly I can't wait for you to tell us in a short couple weeks you are past your loss week and celebrate!!

    Any appointments coming up?
on October 31st...really hoping to hear the heartbeat!! And get some reassurance!
    Rants/Raves/Questions?
Rave - got to fly on a float plane for work which was really cool  (and beautiful views with and all the trees changing colors!
    How are you doing?
I'm doing....ok. I'm still very very tired. Nauseous again. Pretty gassy and burpy all the time.
I am now off my progesterone so I'm a bit nervous. We have also now told our parents, my sister and then my husbands cousin and wife (we are very close with them and they know about our loss), plus I told my boss yesterday!! My boss works in another city so I wanted to tell her in person. I was nervous because im leading a huge multi-year project. She was so great about it though and won't be telling any of my staff or colleagues for now.
I have now told more people then last time, and its making me feel anrernnn bit better. Going to tell my husbands brothers this weekend and then wait until after our Tuesday appointment before we tell any friends. (Sorry that was long!)

    GTKY:
What are some small things that make your day better?
Sunshine! A good cup of tea. And spontaneous love texts from my hubby :)
  • @cups4, that is exactly why I didn't get a doppler last time around. Thankfully, we had a ton of u/s up until 14ish weeks so I felt ok not having one. And soon after, I started feeling kicks which was super reassuring.
  • @rachelg777 I am sorry you might have to move again that stinks. Actually not until I read your comment did that actually click. I know I read that with other STMs but I guess it just never clicked with me.

  • I told my BIL and SIL today. SIL said "I knew it!" (She has been saying that she thinks I'm pregnant behind my back since we got married last year, and does not know about our loss). She mentioned that I missed an event and wasn't drinking on my birthday so she thought so. But I was drinking then because I didn't know I was pregnant then and would have gotten pregnant like the night before lol. And I have "pretended to drink" at 2 other events so she wouldn't catch on.
I don't know why but this bothers me SOOO much.
I basically just said well when you guess enough you're bound to be right eventually!
Then she proceeded to ask if we were trying. Another question I hate. I made a pretty sparky comment back about her wanting to know when my husband ejaculated in me (ok maybe I took that too far). She said they are starting to try now and wants to know if it will happen for them right away or if it takes people a while usually....
I feel like this is rude, none of her business and just awkward. Am I overreacting? My experience getting pregnant could be nothing like hers or awkwardntine else I know....
    Ugh... In-laws!
  • @rachelg777 this moving business sounds super stressful!! 3 months?! Bless you.

@cups4 THE NIMBER IS NRVER RIGHT! Just track it yourself. I record it for 10 seconds and then do the math 100% love and need my Doppler for sanity.

@baby_2018 People are sometimes just oblivious. My uterus my business. Buh-bye.

  • Hi PGAL friends!
While I've been so anxious and nervous, I now feel SO much better. Not only am I 12.5 weeks (a huge personal milestone), but we have told our families fully now and I just had my midwife appointment and heard the heartbeat!! (My first time!) I feel super relieved and I can't stop smiling. I want to cry from excitement lol.
I hope you're all experiencing these positive milestones and emotions too!
    Happy Halloween!

@justsuzie I think I might use that line next time "my uterus, my business". Haha love it.
  • @babys_2018 yay! So happy for you!

We got our NIPT results today- the results were normal and it’s a BOY! We also told our families tonight.  :) - side note: so in my results I saw that my doctor put in my weight wrong.. for some reason they reported it as 20 pounds lighter than I am. Do you guys think that would make a big difference in the results? I sent my doc a message but I’m still waiting for a reply. We read some studies but it’s kinda hard to tell.  :/
  • @rachelg777 Congrats on your boy!!
I'm not familiar with NIPT tests so unfortunately I can't help you there. Hopefully you can talk to your doctor tomorrow to get confirmation
