  • kpc914  It's best in the morning and easier if you are on the slimmer side. I also found that if I can't find it within 2-3 minutes I give up. For me though, it reduces anxiety.  But as @NurseMarie9 said, it does cause a lot of ladies anxiety.

  • @justsuzie for Christmas cards? We’ve been using mpix.
  • Thanks ladies for the doppler rec! I will proceed with caution. Heard baby's heartbeat at drs office today. I could see how listening to that can get addicting, and how not finding it could cause anxiety.
  • How far along are you? What size is baby this week?  13+1, baby is the size of a lemon, hot jalapeño, watch

What symptoms are you having? I'm down to mild evening crappiness, and some gassy bloat.

Rants/Raves: We announced a few days ago and I got my first belly rub.  Wtf.  My uterus is barely above my public bone!

Any questions this week? Are we second trimester yet?!

GTKY:  What was your first job and what lessons did you learn from it? My first job was a fast food restaurant.  I learned to appreciate every other job since then!!

  • @mileswithmyles, my 3 lbs of weight gain have all gone to my bump too.  Do you run through pregnancy?

@justsuzie, congrats on your NT scan!  Any discomfort with the full bladder?

@kpc914, I love my sonoline B!  I relied on it for reassurance until I could feel movement.  I've found that with this pregnancy I have more success in the evenings with a fuller bladder.
  • @squashandlaces I've been trying, but I am only getting in about once a week at this point due to HG/exhaustion.
  • @squashandlaces the full bladder actually made it hard to enjoy the scan
  • @mileswithmyles you are doing great still!  I haven't run in 10 weeks... mostly due to being cautious after transfer and then because I wasn't feeling too hot but I think it's time to ease back into it.

@justsuzie it's the worst.  My tech took the difficult pics and then let me go to the bathroom and pee out 3 cups (there were cups on the back of the toilet) and it was instant relief!
  • @mileswithmyles @squashandlaces I've replaced running with hiking.   Any impact and I spot, so I'm playing it safe.
  • @mileswithmyles, @justsuzie and @squashandlaces I haven't run since like the week I found out I was pregnant. It's sucked. I should start walking again though. It's cooled off a little bit here and J would love some park and stroller time.
  • @mileswithmyles Yes I do plan to take unpaid time off. We will see how long I will take. Maybe I'll take the full 12 weeks FMLA gives you, which will be like 8 weeks unpaid and 4 weeks of PTO.

As for me, I decided not to get a doppler. It's super tempting but my husband forbids me to!
