I know people have complained about this before, but I guess it only just hit me: The Bump isn’t working on my computer even though I signed back out and in. I can’t like or comment on anything. So stuck on mobile
My kid won't stop getting into everything. And I feel yucky today so I don't feel like entertaining him. Also, headaches when you can't take ibuprofen or Motrin are the woooorst.

It's raining REALLY hard here today. Mondays suck anyway, but then to have a rainy, no recess day really stinks. I have a free jeans day pass, so I wore jeans today to be more comfortable. Well, I accidentally forgot to take my PNV one day and they got washed in the pocket of these jeans. My PNV is a 2 pill thing with one being omegas. I have seriously washed these jeans SO many times and I can still smell that damn prenatal. It smells SO bad. I'm trying not to vomit! I just put lotion on and wiped some on my jeans in hopes to mask the smell.
Office politics!!! And all the cliques!!! HR is currently dating one of the company owners and is BFF's with the office B!tch, so it makes it awkward to tell her anything. I won't go into details, but the morale has seriously taken a downward spiral since I started working here 2 years ago. My office buddy seems to get the short end of the stick all the time, too. Makes me want to quit, but I can't afford that right now and the benefits here outweigh any you'd find in the area.Maybe we can work it out to be a SAHM after baby comes.

I have quite a bit to bitch about. One of my friends who was due 5/14 had a d&c on Thursday, the same day we had to admit our dog to the vet hospital for an emergency blood transfusion. We already had plans to go out of town for the weekend so we left him there and the vet called us everyday to give us updates. We had a great weekend but when we got up to leave this morning my 4.5 yo started throwing up, then I started feeling sick. So now we have a 3 hour drive to pick up the dog and then an hour after that before we get home. Of course we have a crazy busy week ahead of us, too. Bleh.
@silverhope the app doesnt work for me, so I was lurking all weekend because i was too lazy to break out the laptop on the weekend and too lazy i guess to try mobile.
The puppy. She’s about 4.5 months old and we left her with my parents over the weekend while we were out of town for a wedding. She cake back with a vengeance. She got the mail off the table and chewed it all up. She ate my real pumpkin decorations and we have chewed up pumpkin everywhere. She got her food container down and ate about half of it and when I walled downstairs I found her chewing on my husbands headphones. Needless to say she’s not allowed out of her kennel on her own anymore for a while no matter how cute she is...

I was feeling bitchy this weekend that Friday night I went out with friends and had to watch them all get drunk on pumpkin flavoured beverages and be DD for my drunk husband, then somehow woke up Saturday morning feeling like I was the hungover one, with nausea headache etc. That is just unfair.
@cups4 I have pretty much given up on most things at this point. I'm eating cereal for dinner and everyone else can fend for themselves.
@thunderberry I hate this part of pregnancy. I just don't go out anymore because I get sad I can't have the drinks and annoyed when everyone else is tipsy and I'm stone cold sober.

Just got home from work and our dogs had eaten my sunglasses AND their case! Now, those were free sunglasses from some event, but I did love them, but the case? It’s RAY-BAN!!!! Dogs just don’t understand sometimes.
@abhphilly So I know you lived in NYC like I used to. I think I have those free sunglasses too! Are they Yelp? I got mine walking around Union Square (where I used to work) during lunch one day.

@silverhope No they were from a TLC block party I wandered by (everyone was desperately trying to meet Kate Plus 8...Lol)...but they could easily be the same glasses with a different logo!
@abhphilly I am too familiar with dogs eating things, it's the worst. I've lost two pairs of eyeglasses this year due to me leaving them in places that the dogs think are places I leave stuff i want them to eat... my bathroom vanity, and my nightstand.

I need to bitch about my dogs AND my husband. I came home from my moms yesterday and there was diarrhea EVERYWHERE. So after I’m done puking because the smell, I call my husband and he gets mad at me for it. He wouldn’t get home from work for a few more hours and I couldn’t move the furniture and rugs alone to clean it. Luckily after a hysterical call to my mom, her and my stepdad came to the rescue.
So what does Hubs do? Put the dogs inside last night. So guess who woke up to more shit everywhere? Ugh.
@cups4 she likes to share a lot of unsolicited advice. I also try to keep my FB “fun only” because I’m friends with parents or former students and former students. She was insane with all the advice when DS was a baby and prettying much refuses to do anything the way DH and I would like.

A day late, but this is definitely the place for this post!
So recently DH and I told our in laws that we are planning to home educate our kids. They seemed ok at first, but Sunday night MIL had a major go at us for it.
Apparently I am too lazy to do this. We will be making DS odd and if he ever goes to school he will not settle. All she wanted to do was raise objections, but when ever we addressed them she didn't want to listen and we were apparently attacking her and everything she did as a parent.
She has no interest in hearing how we plan to home educate and actually told us she doesn't want to be involved at all.
I managed to to be really calm throughout but am now stewing as there is so much I would like to say. It is doubly heartbreaking as we have just lost my mam, who was so keen to be involved and now won't get the chance to. I am really cross as my whole family are super active with children and Ihave always taken my sons to activities and groups regularly. We do so much messy play/baking/writing/puzzles etc at home and she doesn't enjoy kids and doesn't want to spend time doing things with them, yet I am the lazy one...
i have been been researching and planning for 2 years now and there are so many wonderful home ed groups and activities to get involved with near us. DH and I are so excited to do this and it is such a shame she can't even be open minded enough to hear us out.

I don't know what happens to parents when they become grandparents that make them so crazy and opinionated. @allie0320 When I told my in-laws about the name, my MIL said, "Like Elery Queen?" Apparently she was an author back in the 60s-70s? I never realized it's a "real" name, but I still don't like it LOL @cups4 That's so heartbreaking. As for the cousin's wife, I was so annoyed when I found out she was working here. I don't see her that often, and try to avoid her when I do, so hopefully we're able to keep our distance. She's the same one who showed up while I was in labor with the girls because she worked in the women's hospital at the time and said she was my cousin. I was so confused, all of my cousins live at least 2 hours away, and definitely did not know yet that I was in labor. When I found out who it was, I told the nurse she was not welcome in my room since she was NOT my cousin, but my husband's cousin's fiancee (they weren't even married at the time). We're both nurses, and have kids around the same age, so she thinks we have so much in common and should be BFFs. She's not a terrible person, and I don't mind talking to her every once in a while, but come on-give it a break, woman! @poppy0419 I can't even imagine dealing with that scenario. I would've packed the kids up and gone to stay with my sister overnight since MH doesn't get home until midnight! And why would YH leave the dogs back inside? Did he think they would be magically cured of their diarrhea after a few hours? Ugh. Also, and @mileswithmyles, my MIL texted me last night-did you see the co-sleeper on the "city specific" FB Yardsale? I was going to tag you in it, but decided against it. I was like, "Yeah thanks for not doing that. I know a ton of people on that yardsale site and we're not ready to announce publicly." I never would've done this, but I almost wish I would've made up some excuse and just skipped the bachelorette party so I wouldn't have had to tell anyone yet. Would've made my life so much easier. @theletlers My little sister said the same exact thing. "Maybe you should name your kid arrot! LOL" When she answered me that her husband doesn't like it, and I was the third person to make the association to celery, I got the impression that it wasn't on their list. But they definitely have an eclectic taste for names. @abhphilly your dogs are ADORABLE! But I would be so mad. I've had well-adjusted home-schooled children and not-so-well adjusted home-schooled children enter elementary school. Comparatively I have well-adjusted public elementary school children and not-so-well adjusted public elementary school children in my classes.
EDIT: Meaning, it's all about the parents, not the method of schooling.
@Cerisrichard My inlaws compared homeschooling to child abuse. It was part of a huge blow up that ended with DH not talking to them for almost four years.
