  • I have a routine check check up on wed. I need to bring in a 24 hour urine collection because my blood pressure has been high. I know this will be the first of many. :(

  • @lund I feel same way. I still have a hard time
believing I'm really pregnant again. Im
thankful and happy and honestly a little anxious.

  • I have a routine appointment tomorrow. Excited because DH can come and hear baby this time and also anxious to see how the growth is (at my 12 week my uterus was measuring 1 finger below my belly button, so pretty far ahead of what it should have been).

  • we have out 16 week check friday so hopefully doppler!  I'm also hoping to get a little more detail from our NT scan, I never got a call/results and i'm too lazy to badger them so I figured i'd ask at this next appt.  Also curious as to whether baby was measuring on track/ahead etc.

  • Wednesday I go for the materniT 21.  I was thrilled to learn that my doc will be back from maternity leave by the time I go for my next appointment (18 weeks). Then I have my anatomy scan at 20 weeks, and 24 week appointments all scheduled with her!
  • Monthly (this practice is awesome and isn’t set on weeks)/routine appointment on Wednesday. Can’t wait to hear our little bean.

  • My appt went well.  Had trouble finding the heartbeat at first, but the baby was a lot higher than we expected it to be.  And I get to wean off the progesterone and come off of Metformin!  So happy!
I was on progesterone w both my girls. My vag totally thanked me when i was able to stop. I was super happy to not take it this time around.

  • I am 15 weeks and have my 2nd tri appointment today. I'm excited/nervous for it. I feel like I haven't had any pregnancy symptoms for like 3 weeks so I just wanna confirm everything is ok.
  • Appointment went well. Got an Amazon recommendation and a prescription for a support belt for my rlp. Doppler went great. Baby was moving around so much it was hard to find the heartbeat, but we did and it wad good too! So happy everything went well!
  • @hedgepig Thanks, unfortunately DH had a work project that got pushed from yesterday to today so he missed the appointment. Baby's heart beat was much louder this time so it picked up clearly on my phone and he could atleast hear that. Still measuring a month ahead, midwife isn't concerned, said "sometimes ligaments stretch faster or maybe we'll see twins in a few weeks" and smiled coyly. I really doubt it is, but it still has my curiosity heightened!

Huh? Do twins just appear out of nowhere this far along?!
  • @dirtyboots, the ultrasonogropher also mentioned that my uterus is just below my bellow button at my last appointment, and baby was measuring a full week ahead on ultrasound. It's just one baby, though! Although this is my fourth kid....

  • @JJMNO1616 I suspect the midwife was making the overly tired and extremely offensive joke of "you are so big it's got to be twins!!!".

That joke makes me want to junk punch people so badly.

  • @JJMNO1616 I didn't have a dating scan done(ovulation was confirmed with temping and opks so they said it wasn't necessary) , so no ultrasound yet to know for sure if it's a singleton.
@lindsye Good to know! Like I said I really can't believe that it would be.  I have none of the precursors for twins and no "mommy senses" are tingling. lol

  • @dirtyboots one of my close friends didn’t find out until anatomy scan that she was having twins!  I guess better than finding out at delivery!
  • @lund @mcb2016 @riversdoctor @tooraloorah GL at your appts ladies! Be sure to update us and let us know how they went!

  • Blood draw for the neural tube defect and materniT21. Nice and boring day, now we wait!
  • This was my first appointment where my blood pressure was normal!  I didn't have my kids with me which prolly helped. It was a quick appointment for me. So glad they could find the baby on the Doppler. I'm a plus sized gal and I've had issues in the past with it. They want me to do an early diabetes test this time around. Along with a baseline 24 hour urine catch. All at my next month appointment.

16 week appt today went great. Heard the baby loud and clear on the Doppler and all vitals were normal. Now I just wait for the anatomy scan in November
  • we had our 16 week today.  HB was good around 150-160 and nothing too eventful.

My only complaint, it felt like the doctor was majorly judgy when she asked about why i'd decline all the additional testing. I didn't do anything extra DD and don't feel all the testing is necessary.  She asked after I said (for the 3rd visit now) that I wasn't interested in extra testing If I was planning a home birth.  Because clearly declining extra testing = must want to birth at home.  She also was a little rude in her delivery following this with "well you know they could find soft markers at your A/S."  Yes, yes I do.  I still don't want the testing. thanks.  Sigh.  We clearly didn't vibe.

  • @ekendall09 oh no! That is definitely one of my complaints about that practice, they are super pro-testing and early intervention. I declined an ultrasound at 28 weeks last pregnancy because I felt their reasoning for it wasn't very solid, and the reaction I got was way over the top. It was unfortunate.

Did you see a midwife today, or an OB?
  • @kmalls YGPM (in one minute)

  • Delay in my appointment update from yesterday.  Everything is looking good, heart rate was 149.  Just looking forward to my November 16th appointment when we have our ultrasound and found out the sex.

  • @ekendall09 my ob wasn't too fond of it when I told him i didn't  want the nipt but his nurse seemed understanding, when I explained my reasoning. I feel like testing is a personal decision and if you don't want it, don't do it. They can't force you. And I get the line of wanting to be prepared but with dd we prepared for a typical baby and for the most part treat her like a typical kid and because of that she has done really well.
