My diet lately has been garbage. I ate a vegetable for the first time yesterday in over a week. Greasy food soothes my stomach. With HG, I just have to eat what I can hold down.

@beckles112 I totally feel you. I'm eating what I want when I want, because otherwise I wouldn't eat at all.

AFM- I told my MIL that we would probably stick with our boy's name choice we had for the girls, and she made the fingers crossed gesture. Now that I know she likes it and wants us to use it, I totally don't want to. Just to spite her.

I cannot hide this baby bump and it has zero chill and yesterday, my last hour found out I was pregnant. One of my freshman boys who is a hilarious kid was upset they didn't know sooner. I quote, "You should have told us the second you peed on the stick!!!!"

Also, just had a kid come up to my desk and see the bottom half of @sandbar517 's siggy. Thank goodness he didn't say anything. lol

Last time around I was due the first week of the month so I was one of the furthest along. This time I'm towards the end of the month and I now I get irrationally annoyed/jealous whenever there is a check in and I see people who are 11/12+ weeks.

Im ready to be out of the first trimester.

@cups4 It cracks me up how invested and hurt our students can be when we don't tell them right away. I didn't tell my class last time until I was 24 weeks. I waited until we came back from winter break and told them that I wouldn't be there at the end of the year. One of them was like, "How long have you known about this? And you're just now telling us?" And my seniors that year had apparently known for a long time and when I told them they were like "Whatever. We knew. A few of our moms are friends with your mom on Facebook, but we didn't want to say anything because we thought it would be rude." I was actually really impressed by that because I worked with students with Asperger's at the time and I thought for sure one of them would make a socially inappropriate comment about me getting bigger.

AFM- We spent a buttload of money on World Series tickets for nosebleed seats, which is really irresponsible considering we have a baby on the way, but I don't care. I cannot freakin' wait to see my team play in the World Series and I hope that they get Vin Scully to come back to call a few innings of the game. I want to badly for Vin and Tommy Lasorda to see another WS win for their team in their lifetime.

@sharkmama39, same! Last go around we were due January 2nd, but I joined the December board knowing I'd go 2 weeks before that. Spoiler alert, I went a month before that and was one of the first go have my kids.
This time I'm towards the middle and I'm good with that most days, but when I see 12 weeks vs my almost 10 I do say a silent "dang".

Afm, my mom has been gone on vacation for over a week so she hasn't come to visit the kids or taken them for a day to give me a break. She gets home later today and I'm bringing them down to see her whether she likes it or not. I do need to pick something up at her house for our family photo shoot tomorrow so it isn't completely crazy to drive the 20 minutes there just to get a break. I'm hoping after I mention needing to run an errand or 2 that she'll let me just leave them there with her so I don't have to drag them into stores.
Eta- I'm even putting them in outfits she bought them during her last vacation.

@suchaglencoco I bet she will offer. My mom always wants so see DS right when she gets back from a trip. She's also really good at picking up on my not-so-subtle hints that I need help.

I checked the glossary, but what does AFM mean?

I have played up how I'm feeling a few times to avoid sex. It does NOT sound appealing right now, nor does being touched in general.

I didn't bring a lunch to work today, which means I will probably end up getting a burger and fries because close and yum, but it's a mistake because my stomach is a wreck already. Ugh.

My confession is I am a total creeper on the internet. If I get a Facebook friend request I will lurk back on their posts for years. I’ll know their aunts name and who their first boyfriend was. I have no idea why I am like this.

I'm just 11 weeks, and started telling some students I work with. I'm actually really bummed I won't be here to see off my 8th graders, before they go on to H.S. I plan on coming to the school on the last day of the year with the 6 week ish baby. *GASP*

However I will be missing most of the state testing, AND year book migraines. (I'm a yearbook coordinator. Mwahahaha) Feels good to passing over some of the responsibility!

I have been using this pregnancy as an excuse not to DTD. I told SO not till after the first appt (just because not in the mood) and somehow he has bought it. Go me! First appt is next wednesday, boo!

@suchaglencoco if my mom goes more than one day without seeing DD she is begging to come over. I think grandmas have some kind of gene that kicks in and makes them want to always see their grandkids. Hope your mom lets you leave the kids!

My fffc is that DH has to work tomorrow and I'm already planning to put DD in front of he tv so that I can keep sleeping in the morning. This momma has had a bad week of beeing sick and just needs a break!

I ate all of the marshmallows out of the box of Lucky Charms last night. My 3 year old was so upset this morning when I poured her a bowl and the marshmallows were gone. She then gave me the biggest puppy dog eyes and asked why I would do that to her. I am so ashamed... but they were so good.

@bjkay22 same! I also cyber stalk people that don't friend me (I'm a serious creeper). My friends have me look up their new bfs for them. I wish I had a career as a private eye.

@bwow615 I said the same thing to my husband! But I was also being overly cautious because I wasn't sure how you would know if you should be on pelvic rest until you see a doctor. My OB told my husband it was his "lucky day" when we went in and got the all clear.

My FFFC: I have two dogs and normally I get home from work before DH which means I take them on their afternoon walk. Yesterday I just wanted to go home and lay on the couch so I stayed at work a half hour extra so that DH would get home before me and walk the pups. It worked! I felt guilty, but DH is gone for the weekend so I'll be on walking and feeding duty.

Maybe I am in the minority and this if FFFC #2, but I am one of the "tired of the complaints about board organization" people. I feel like you can make it personal if you take the time to read threads that apply to you (or don't apply to you) and respond to people in them. So many people just post and ghost. If you comment on what someone said or ask them a question, it leads to a more organic conversation and getting to know someone. The initial post just helps the conversation get started.

@mileswithmyles I'm not suggesting we go through a whole change again. Just voicing my opinion. I very well could be in the minority, it's just super hard for me to keep up with a check in for all these different things when I'm on mobile and work doesn't really allow me to get on a lot. I was also someone who didn't think the board was slow to begin with. Because by the time I'm at home and able to get on there's already a bunch of responses and for me to try to engage with all those people it's just really hard. Like I said, probably just my issue and that's why it's a confession.

I agree there are too many check-ins, I’ve just stopped reading most of them. I like the check in by your week, but don’t understand how we wound up with dailies.
