Re: TTGP Grad Check In Week of 10/19
How are you feeling? still horrendous. Lost 4 more lbs this week, so that's fun. Can't wait to feel semi normal again.
GTKY: Have you ever lived with roommate(s)? Tell us a story about that, good or bad!
So many roommates, the hardest was my sister in law and my brother. We get along much better now that they don't live with us. Their bedroom had mold on the ceiling when they moved out....spent a lot of money hiring someone to scub that like no tomorrow.
In college, typical roommate having sex while you were in the room stuff. I lived in a sorority house and shared a room with 3 other girls, it was very crowded when our boyfriends would come in town for formal events and such. 8 people in a bedroom and one bathroom is not ideal. haha
How are you feeling? Same. Tired from the meds, tons of aversions, and a little irritable this week. I'm anxious today. I have my HR Panel update at 1:00 today and my NT scan at 4:30 and I just want to get both of them over with. And the Dodgers lost last night. Imma need them to win tonight so that I can relax until next week.
GTKY: Have you ever lived with roommate(s)? Tell us a story about that, good or bad! Oh boy...... College was fun. My roommate in the dorms was so messy. Not just cluttered, but dirty. There was constantly stuff all over the floor and half eaten food everywhere. She wasn't even there that often and I was always amazed by how much mess she created in such a short amount of time. And I don't think I am the biggest neat freak in the world, so the fact that it bothered me shows how messy she really was. This is not my room, but a good example of what it was like :
My sophomore year I moved into an apartment with a friend from high school and two other girls. My friend from high school got blocked in her parking space and decided to just take my car without asking and then got SO MAD at me when I got mad at her for taking my brand new car without permission. She also used to do weird stuff like rearrange the furniture in the common areas. We ultimately asked her to move out at the end of the year because it got to be too much.
How are you feeling? tired and out of breath. My mom pointed out last night that I still sound... not wheezy like whistle-y but wheezy like after the cough has subsided from bronchitis. I've been like this since week I got my bfp. Of course I had my appt yesterday, but it was only a pelvic, pap, and breast exam, no baby stuff and they it's not like they listen to your chest so of course I didn't think to mention it... boo
GTKY: Have you ever lived with roommate(s)? Tell us a story about that, good or bad! I've only have 1 roommate (other than my ex and we're not going down that road) we rented a townhouse in college because there were no dorms. she really wasn't a problem, she didn't cook but she was always happy to try out my recipes so we had dinner together a good bit (I was a culinary student and she was a pastry student) we split bills, she always paid on time, she was gone every weekend from thursday morning to sunday night, cleaned up after herself. But, then there was her mother................ it was like having a second roommate that didn't live with us. I will never forget the one time they came up to visit and left in the evening, she noticed that our porch light was out but it was like 10 feet up so we couldn't change it. I said, it's no biggie, I'll call maintenance tomorrow morning and they'll get us taken care of. That next afternoon, I get a phone call from her asking if I had called, I said yes and that they were scheduling to come out. Fine. Didn't hear anything else. Until the next week, they show up to pick my roommate up for the weekend (don't know why, she always drove and they lived 2 hours away from us, whatever) and when they get there it's dark and the light is still out. She flips out about it. I said I talked to them and we're getting scheduled but because the street light is in our front yard and over powers the porch light anyway, I told them to take there time and get to us whenever (The "street light" was only about 6 feet tall and less than 10 feet from our door) So the next day after class, I stop by the office to drop off the rent and guess who the office manager is on the phone with? My roommates mom! She's reaming them about the light not being fixed and it being a safety issue and if they have to come fix it they will and then they will sue..... ugh. Luckily, I had gotten to know the office staff really well and they knew she was super over protective and crazy so they just kind of laughed it off. But she seemed to forget that her name was not on the lease, mine was. Her daughter was only listed as a legal tenant so how about we don't go off threatening to sue over a place we're not legally attached to?! lol She's still crazy and I still run into her around town (roommate and I grew up in the towns right next to each other) Roommate has moved 3 states away... because she's smart lol

10.5 feeling good actually. Trying not to panic, hopefully I’m just over the first trimester crap early like some super lucky person. Next apt is Tuesday.
Ok so I had a roommate who was my best friend (no longer friends after living together). She had cats and bought this organic kitty litter that they HATED so they would pee and poop everywhere but in the cat box. Anyways she never wanted to clean it up, like she would let it sit for 2-3 days. It was AWFUL. I usually ended up cleaning it up just so I could function. She once used my very expensive shark vacuum to vacuum up her cats poop, so it was obviously ruined. She was super nasty.
How are you feeling? Still feeling pretty good. I had a quick check up today and I lost 1 lb. I've been incredibly lucky and haven't been sick, so I was a bit surprised by that. Also had first tri screening bloodwork drawn today.

Well, I've only had 2 roommates: my friend from HS was my freshman roommate. We had a good year, so no real stories - good or bad. The only other roommate is DH. We moved in together when I was a sophomore in college and he was a junior. No major complaints and we've been living together for 12 years now!

GTKY: I've had a lot of roommates, and thankfully none of them were too terrible. My first semester in college, I was in a 3 person dorm room, and the one girl was pretty annoying. Her one rule was no "f-ing" (that's what she actually called it and it got pretty annoying) if other people were there. As far as I know, she never did, but I was pretty grossed out when I found a used condom on my bean bag that sat at the end of her bed. She also had a job doing medical transcription and every once in a while she would do it without headphones, so not only hello HIPAA, I had to sit there and listen to doctors drone on about their patients and listen to her typing and starting/stopping/rewinding 1000 times.

@kpc914 I'm sorry you still feel sooo crappy. Power to you though for making it through your work days, even if it is from home!
@mileswithmyles I was irritable this week too.
@BertieMeetsGertie I haven't gained weight yet either and I am shocked. I have no idea how.
Loving these roommate stories too.
How far along are you? 12+3
How are you feeling? Pretty good. I'll only have 3ish days a week with nausea now and it's not all day. Other than that just the normal stuff- tired,etc.. I went to bed at 9pm last night and slept until 8am. It was sooo glorious. I had my NIPT redrawn this morning.
GTKY: Have you ever lived with roommate(s)? Tell us a story about that, good or bad!
Yesss, so many roommates. So many. Let's see. Senior year of college I lived with 5 other girls. I was good friends with all of them (-1) and we actually made great roommates. The one that was more of an acquaintance was just a crazy party girl. We had some entertaining moments with her. For example, once on a bus to a "barn dance" (sorority thing) she got mad at her date and after he passed out on the way home on the bus she straddled him and literally peed on him. It was entertaining and for the most part she didn't really hang out with the rest of us all that often so I have no complaints about living with her but yeah, it was interesting sometimes. I also lived in MT for a year with my BFF and twin sis. We lived with a 50 something alcoholic lady in a log cabin the mountains. She wasn't a bad roommate either other than being a little strange and being a little nutty after drinking a case of bud+clamato a night. I had a roommate in grad school who would always pretend to be on her phone when she came home so she wouldn't have to talk to my other roommate and I. That was strange.
