How are you feeling?!

Re: How are you feeling?!

  • @dragonfly87-2 I've been snoring for months! DH has been sleeping in the guest room for awhile now. I don't typically snore, but apparently it's been really bad!

  • @dragonfly87-2 that's the one thing i actually wanted to happen as pay back for all the years I've had to listen to h snore. No such luck

  • mymulligan  We have a guest bed that I suggested DH sleep in...but he seems to think the couch is more comfortable.

@DungeonTrollMel Oh, DH has terrible snoring...I often have to push him onto his side to get it to stop. So part of my feels bad for him about my snoring, but not entirely since I have been dealing with his for so many years. :)
  • Yesterday I had some family drive down from NY to go to the Eastern State Penitentiary last night. We took a daytime tour of the prison and had some time to kill while they waited for Terror Behind the Walls to begin at night, so some of us walked to the Rocky statue and steps in the city. The total walk was about 1 mile. My pelvis and hips were sore but nothing I couldn't tolerate. After we get back towards the prison we ate dinner across the street at a restaurant. We were sitting for about 1.5-2 hours before I decided to get up to use the bathroom. As I began to stand I was immediately greeted by the most painful pelvic pain I have ever experienced. I couldn't stand up straight and when I tried to take a step, the pain intensified by 10. I seriously could not move. My family though I was having contractions but I was in so much pain that I couldn't explain what the pain was. So they are freaking out telling me to sit down as I'm telling them no. I just needed to move to loosen up but the pain was so bad I couldn't take a step. Eventually, to stop my family from trying to "help me" I forced myself to start walking. It was the most painful pelvic pain I have ever felt and it lasted the rest of the night. When we left later in the evening, I could barely lift up my leg to get into the car. I'm really not sure why I experience this pain. Usually if I sit too long and get up, it's very sore but as soon as I start walking the pain dissipates. But this time it was completely debilitating. I'm not sure the doctors can do anything about this pain. I have a very high pain tolerance but this feels like I have a shattered pelvis. I don't want LO to come until ready but I think I'll be okay if she comes a bit early.

  • @cwalker042 that sounds like how my pain used to be, my pelvis wasn't aligned. I got a prenatal massage and she worked on my lower abdominal muscles and the ones that cross the hip bone, was sore the next day but then I could walk and my pelvis stopped cracking when u turned.
  • Yes!! I'm a silent sleeper until I'm about 7.5/8 months pregnant... It'll go away after baby is born :)
  • cwalker042  You might want to consider seeing a chiropractor that specializes in pregnancy adjustments. My hips get thrown off quite a bit and it hurts. After an adjustment, it helps get them back to where they need to be.
  • Thank you guys for the advise @dragonfly87-2 @MaximumEffort I have never felt pain in my pelvis that intense. With my son, who is now 2, I was doing crossfit until I was 7 months so it's difficult to accept that I cannot walk far or sit too long without excruciating pain.

I’m good. I love  on google pregnant but this one is much harder on my body than the last two. THE back pain and pelvic pain almost makes me crawl by the end of the night and chiropractor isn’t working.

Im still working. I was supposed to be done this past Thursday the teacher that’s on maternity leave extended 2 weeks. I found out Thursday that she’s isn’t now not returning so I’m working until 13 Nov and my rcs is Nov 16.

The car seat arrived so all the baby stuff is in the basement. We haven’t bought diapers yet, sibling outfits or going home outfits. I will think about packing bags in Nov- I’m pretty laid back.

  • @cwalker042 Yuuup, I get the exact same excruciating pelvic pain when I stand up after sitting for awhile. :( Also when I roll over in bed (helps to keep knees together!) and get out of bed. Two ladies in my prenatal yoga class told me over the weekend that they also have the same pain and that a prenatal chiropractor helps, so I'm making an appointment today. Fingers crossed for some relief for all of us!
  • That pelvic pain started again, time for a massage, doesn't help that LO dropped and is sitting in my pelvic.  My legs felt So heact after work yesterday, all water retention, I've voided 4 times today without drinking a thing. Sleep is a thing of the past.

Yes! Getting out of bed is a huge feat! I have to basically roll out of bed. I am blown away by this pain. I have an appt tonight with my OB. I'm going to see what she says and if she can recommend a chiro.

  • I agree the pelvic pain is getting bad anytime I am in the same position for to long and go to move or get up it's there. I find it the worst at night when rolling over in bed or getting up to use the bathroom.
  • @cwalker042 I have to roll out of bed too. Sometimes I have to kind of laugh because I bet I look so ridiculous trying to get out of bed.

I feel miserable right now. I just threw up my entire dinner (what a waste of going out to eat). I don't know if I felt nauseous and threw up because I ate too much or I am sick (from the food or the flu). But I do feel some relief from throwing up....which is a mixed blessing I guess.

ETA cue paranoia...I had a ham sandwich for lunch. I nuked it in the microwave and I am sure it isn't to blame, but it isn't helping given I still feel sick.
  • I spent a few hours in L&D last night. I had my OB appt yesterday at 5:30pm and my BP was elevated to almost 160/90. She didn't like my systolic number so she sent me to L&D. I told her I had a very hectic day with my 2 yr old being very sick, having to have a chest X-ray and running high grade fevers. She told me I still needed be checked out. After being in L&D a few hours everything came back perfectly fine and I was discharged. Yesterday was quite the eventful day!

  • @cwalker042 Glad your BP went down. Take it easy today!
@dragonfly87-2 I definitely notice way more nausea this trimester. I think it's common because they kick and squish our intestines. I hope that is it for you and that you can keep the rest of your food down.

  • @cwalker042 glad your bp went down.   Sounds like a stressful day.  Hope the rest of the week is better.
I visited L&D this morning.   I was having cramping and bleeding.  They could not determine source/reason of bleeding  and I was having contractions but nothing regular.  My cervix is only 1 cm so home again I go.  They were also concerned about my bp which was borderline high but it went down a little.  Baby hr was great though and still moving around so that's positive.
@dragonfly87-2 hope you feel better today!
  • @cwalker042 @dragonfly87-2 @angkay711 hope you all are able to get some rest today and start feeling better!!
I've been having cramping off and on all night and this morning. No bleeding though. My cold is almost gone (I hope) despite being woken up multiple times a night by my 4 yo. Not sure what her deal is but it's driving me crazy. Every single night she is up and waking me up. This just can't happen once the baby is here.
  • So glad I am not the only one with the hip/pelvic pain. I was getting worried about it. Last night I was "nesting" and cleaning out my cabinets and afterwards I just could not go up or down the stairs without killing what I think are my adductors (top of legs where they meet the hips) but also having the lower part of my belly move around really uncomfortably. I do have a prenatal massage scheduled for Thursday so hopefully he can do something about it. What would a chiro do, by the way? I'm willing to go that route as well.

  • angkay711 mymulligan NYTino24  Thank you for the well wishes ladies. Today, I have kept food down, but still feel slightly queasy. The flu is going around our school, so not sure if that is what I might have caught (hope not). Ugh, the timing just really sucks given the ham sandwich (although I highly doubt that has anything to do with it), but I am trying to just not get super paranoid.
  • @Abby7 I'm told that a chiro can manipulate your pelvis, usually from the back, but sometimes also from the front. Your pelvic bones can get slightly out of alignment, and a small adjustment can make a big difference. (I have not been yet myself, so this is just what I hear from friends.)
  • I'm okay. Still working though not as much, but they insist on asking me to stay late after a whole 10 hour shift (A no-go Lol). DH is fine he's finally done with disinfecting/rearranging the house! The nursery is done also. We feel great abt it. We Just have a load of the baby's clothes to wash b4 she gets here & we're all set. Went to the doc yday for my 36th week cervical check & No dilation but cervix is soft. Having light cramps which I was told may be from my cervix softening...I have pretesting Nov 3 for my elective cesarean Nov 6th. Not too long left & I'm very nervous bc I'm uneasy with surgeries, but that's her only way out! I know everything is in God's hands  :)
  • Glad you ladies were able to go home and that your LOs are doing well! Hope the only other time you’re in L&D is on your due dates!
  • @abby7 Your chiro should be able to lower the table so he or she can crack your upper and lower back as well as massage and stretch you. They typically leave out the middle and do not use electrical stimulation. They might give you a heating pack or ice depending on how everything is. (My office also has PT and acupuncture, so sometimes a different person will do the massage or whatever.)
@angkay711 Sorry for the scare, but you're getting close!
@mymulligan Hope you feel better today!

Last night I felt like I pulled something in my left groin area and I couldn't walk right. Now I'm having some back pain on the right side. Can't wait to see the chiro today!
