@mileswithmyles Man I love an excuse to get a real cocktail. We're the only couple in our friends set with a kid so far, so everyone always comes to our house to hang out and they always just bring beer. Beer is fine, but seriously, someone make me a Manhattan! Well, not noooowwww, and I agree, virgin is just juice and more sugar. Why would I pretend that's what I want?
Me: 32 DH: 31 *The old lady by 5 whole weeks* Married: 11/2013 M: 6/2016 E: 5/2018
@mileswithmyles, the audacity of her to say that to me. We were talking about DH and my trip last week and how we were disappointed I couldn't drink. We had planned to hit some local bars Saturday night and just have a fun, kid free night out. "Well you can still go out. He can drink and you can just drink a virgin drink, that'll help". Help who??? I wanted to get wasted and have dirty, loud, hotel sex with my husband. Not sip down extra sugar so I can't sleep. And DH is more than able to drink if he so chooses. He doesn't drink much as is, but if we're out for dinner and he wants a beer, he can and will have a beer or 2. So me drinking virgin drinks does nothing, but waste the bartenders time.
ITA @suchaglencoco. It’s not the same at all. And also a waste of money. I love me a good vodka drink or martini. I don’t want gross blended strawberry purée. Gimme the good stuff.
I just had to leave a neighbors house because people came over and she started playing bartender. My kid fell and hurt herself at the perfect time so I could scoot out. But I seriously came home super pissed that there are all those yummy sounding mixed drinks that I can't have.
I'm going to a girls night with friends tonight but what is the point. They are all trying the new Target wines. Low point: googling how bad wine is for you pregnant. I know some people would day it's ok, but I needed the American Pregnancy Association to confirm that no, I shouldn't (and pgal brain wouldn't let me anyway), but I'm still bitter.
@cups4, I went to girls' night last week and it was no fun. I couldn't even eat what the hostess made because it made me gag to look at. I felt awful and had to pull her aside to explain. Luckily, she was super nice about it and kept the pregnancy to herself.
@cups4 FFFC- I periodically had wine when pregnant with DS. My uncle is a perinatologist and he said a small glass (4oz) every once in a while after the first trimester is completely fine.
Bloody parents coming over in a few weeks and we are going to tell them. Of course they want to go to the nicest vineyard on the island. Pregnant summer is gonna be a bit of a hardship (living in nz)
If anyone is looking for some fun, June has a girl on FFFC who is saying that she thinks signatures with spoilers are dumb. When someone said it’s because they lurk/post on other boards, like TTGP and don’t want to offend anyone experiencing loss or IF, she said that it’s basically all about her and in real life she would do the same thing because (and this is a direct quote) “it is not about them, it is about me.”

That has to be MUD. At least, I genuinely hope it is!
And just think... if any of us conceived just one month later, that board would be our home board
I mean... a few of us could end up there anyhow- depending on the may due date.
That will probably be me! I started in October 15 and ended up in November 15. I didn't post much after he was born though so it didn't really matter, I suppose. I'm hoping I don't have the same overdue experience this time. 12 days was rough!

Everything is crossed you don't have that experience again.
I'll actually be April. My DD is april 30, but I'm a repeat c section so it'll be earlier for sure.
Lol with J I started off in March, was given two different due dates in April, so I switched to that group, then my due date was moved back to March, but I stuck with them.
There's also a girl over there who apparently lives on a private island (in the Caribbean, maybe?) that she owns, she and her husband are YouTube blogger stars, she makes all of her own cloth diapers and pads and is just generally super crunchy granola. It's funny, because she was part of all the drama toward the beginning, so you can totally tell some people super side eye her, and other people are all, "You're so inspiring!"

She seems like mud to me. It all just seems to be way too much. She apparently isn't in love with her husband, but he was a great guy and she decided to have kids so she chose him to be the father. Just seems very soap opera-ish to me.
I don’t know if I’m regular enough yet for anyone to care but im due may 12 but I’m assuming the babies will come early so I’m guessing end of April but I’m not going anywhere either !
Re: nothing to see here
That's what my MIL told me a few weeks ago. If looks could kill.
We we are going to Hamilton tomorrow and we always get cocktails before the shows we see. I'm probably more sad about not having one then I should be.

I know only a portion of that gif is relevant, but I love that show so I'm leaving it.
