@vlagrl29 if you are ok with 2-3 months trying clomid or femara, I would do it. If the OB is ok with clomid and no monitoring, maybe it would help to discuss reasons why they are ok with it? I figure if the expert is ok with it, then there is likely a good reason
also @Momifbysea yay!!!!!! 5 is a great number! I’ve been lurking here rooting for you and so inspired by you. Sending all my thoughts to you and those eggs, grow embies, grow!!

@Momifbysea 5 is great! Keep your head up! @harleyquinn0621 Sending postitive vibe! @vlagrl29 tell me about this Primerose oil!! I may have to get me some of that!
Wish me luck ladies! This Friday thru tues I should be fertile and trying to be optimistic that SO will be able to BD.. got Viagra, the Clear blue easy OPK, both been taking our vitamins and maybe throw a bottle of vino in(seems to help SO with the ED). Planning and going for it at least 4 time between fri and tue! If nothing happens this month on to the RE we’ll go on the 27th.
@PoeMasque - it for sure is something we will discuss when or if the time comes. Dh probably thinks I'm cray but this stuff brings out my anxiety. Taking prog for 1 month made me anxious lol.
@ndz2018 - you take it cd1 until you O every cycle. I think I have pretty good CM. it will actually come out when I'm fertile but more can't hurt I figure. I think I'll go ahead and get some for the weekend. Our plan is to BD EOD days 12-22 this cycle or at least get as close to that as possible.
@vlagrl29 I wish it were that easy for us to do every other day. I have been temping, testing and I’m pretty sure between CD12- CD19 is when I O. I’m really hoping this isn’t an issue this month. It’s so frustrating and hurts the both of us(him way more) , he’s very open to me about it and doesnt get angry like most men. We’ve been to urologist, couples therapy, cardiologists, you name it we’ve been to it... but a lil bit of alcohol relaxes him and the viagra works too.. and sometimes we need nothing . It’s the strangest thing.
I'm sure it can be hard @ndz2018 - We haven't always had this kind of BD schedule but I want to finish the year strong and know we did our best. There are times it definitely feels like a routine.
AFM this cycle I think its a bust hubby had been working crazy hours and we only were able to BD 1 day during fertile time and it was the last day of EWCM. Not feeling very hopeful but there are people who get pregnant their first time so who knows. I was going to skip next cycle but think I may just continue with the IUIs.
Also found out that my friend got a light positive test her 2nd IUI she goes for beta today. I'm excited for her BC I know what its like going thru this but sad for me BC I want it so bad too.
@labluver2 - yep that's when you take it. I'm going to order some on amazon today. Serious BD will start this weekend. Hopefully I'll get it saturday. Going to dollar tree tomorrow to pick up OPKs. Preseed should come today in the mail from amazon. It's like how much more stuff can I put in my body lol. I'm thinking of adding the diva cup to my list to use after BD. I'm BSC and I am fully prepared for none of this to work for us so there's that.
@vlagrl29 I know what you mean lol. Also used pressed plus all the other supements. I yell at my eggs and tell them I'm not that old and there has to be a quality one in there somewhere lol. So frustrating people Make it look so easy.
I need to catch up on posts here but I’m at work so I’ll just give my fert report update quickly: of the 5 eggs only 3 were mature (boo!) and 2 of those 3 fertilized. I know it only takes one, trying to keep repeating that to myself!
Do they have to go thru testing now @Momifbysea ? - at least 3 fertilized!
I'm annoyed that my doctor didn't code my thyroid and vitamin D test in a way that would have insurance cover it. I"m waiting on call back from nurse to explain why I need that. It's a $233 charge and they coded it as infertility. Maybe I'm nuts but I don't yet believe I'm infertile since all my testing as come back normal and we still have 3 cycles left to make it 12 months of timed intercourse. We had taken a couple breaks during this process and I'm not counting those.
@Momifbysea That’s great! And yes, it only take one! Sending you postive vibes girl!
@Labluver2 I know that feeling when you want so bad to be happy for that person but resent them for it. Unfortunately it may take a little longer for some of us. My friend has had 6 children and every time she tells me she pregnant again I wanna ring her skinny little neck! it’s hard on us who are having issues watching others getting what we have been wishing for, for so long. Sorry, rant over.
@vlagrl29 WTH?? Why would they code that as infertility? It’s a thyroid and vit D test! Are you on good terms with the dr office? Can you get them to code it different?
This is our last cycle trying naturally and SO already said something to me today about having a hard time BDing, so I’ve got a feeling we’ll be keeping that RE appointment. So the upside if I don’t get knocked up this month is AF will be starting like the day after the appointment so maybe we can jump right into IUI? Not sure how this whole thing works as I have never been through it. Hoping we can jump right into it
Also has anyone tried Home insemination? Been reading up on it.
@ndz2018 - Nurse said she couldn't change it because it would be insurance fraud and infertility is in my file. I'm so tired of labels. They don't understand how long it took me to get into a great point mentally where I felt nothing was wrong with me. It hasn't even been a year of trying yet since our loss and they label me. I don't like to be labelled. So they suggested I talk to the office manager which I put a call into but if I'm not feeling supported we will changed OB offices soon. I'm looking forward to my appt next week with the functional medicine doctor.
@vlagrl29 ugh so sorry you have to deal with that.
I did find this arrival on another fertility board I found interesting. Exactly what my RE said to me that even tho my AMH is low its not the whole picture and I can still get pregnant naturally.
@Labluver2 - That is very interesting! I also feel that just because you haven't conceived in x amount of months that makes you infertile.
The doctor I'm seeing next week told me she doesn't believe in hormone testing as an effective way to test fertility. She told me likely we will be taking my blood to test all levels of vitamins, infection, and inflammation. She asked that I bring all my supplements DH and I are taking so she can check those out as well.
I ordered the evening primrose oil and it comes on saturday. I decided against the divacup as we usually have sex at night so I don't have to worry about stuff spilling back out.
Ok ladies question.. I went for a test run with the clear blue easy opk and got a blank screen... any one? Could it be a bad test strip? On my first try? What are the chances of that... ugh only me.
So not even an empty smile face? That is weird. You can still get a good idea from the strip you put in the device. The control line should be dark. Then there should be a test line next to it. If it's faint then your not surging. Otherwise if there's no lines I'd say it was a defective strip.
I’ve never been successful with OPKs- they make me feel like a complete idiot

@harleyquinn0621@vlagrl29 It must of been a defective strip, tried another one, all good! Low of course so I kinda feel like I wasted one, however I did buy the 20 stip pack so I think I’ll test twice a day for the next 5 days or till I see a solid smiley face.
I'll start OPKs on Sunday. Need to buy some today or tomorrow. DH let me sleep in today since I was exhausted from letting that doctor and his stupid labels bother me. I guess more so his nurse.
@vlagrl29 LUCKY! So jealous woke up at 5:45 and couldn’t go back to bed. Try not to let the labeling upset you, trust me I don’t wanna be labeled either but it is what it is and we gotta go with the flow. Brush it off you don’t wanna be stressed about the small sh*t this weekend, you got some BDing to do .
@vlagrl29 I’m interested in how your appt next week w the functional medicine dr goes! Ive only gone the RE route but with everything I’m reading lately I think it could do a lot of good seeing someone like that. Sucks about the labeling though o hate that too.
I'll let you all know. It's next Thursday for 1 hour. I'm sure DH thinks I've lost my marbles and maybe I have and maybe we are not meant to have another baby so there is that. lol. It's just too bad these doctors don't take insurance but that's ok I'll let her know we are limited on funds.
sorry ladies this week has been crazy at work and i keep trying to catch up on the thread....
good luck with the functional medicine dr @vlagrl29 !!!

@vlagrl29 was doing some reading a and found that taking lo dose aspirin helps with fertlity. 81 mg a day said it helps with inflammation and implantation. Wasn't sure if you were taking it but couldn't hurt. Also bone broth and 1tsp of apple cider vinegar 1tsp raw honey and 8 oz warm water twice a day help control the acidity.
@labluver2 - is that baby asprin? I noticed EWCM this morning so started OPKs CD13 - test line is not quite as dark as control line so BD will start tonight. Primrose oil should come in today in the mail. I'm really looking forward to my appt on Thursday so I can get a professional option about all these supplements.
@vlagrl29 my insurance also tried to deny some of the tests (hsg and bloodwork) we did with the OB because the office codes it as “infertility”, I called my insurance company and spoke with a claims agent who confirmed that my plan covered “testing for infertility, but not treatment”, so I explained what the tests were and how they worked. They contacted my OBs office and confirmed it wasn’t fertility treatment and covered the tests. I don’t know what your plan covers, but it’s always worth a call....claims processors know zilch about the medical field, but so far I’ve had two different insurance companies who were willing to reverse denied claims after I called and explained things.

@poemasque - I just decided to pay with the cash option my doctor gave me. A $233 charge for blood work will only cost me $16 and when I get my Prog tested again in a week it will only be $4. Otherwise yeah I would call the insurance company. It's ridiculous the cost of health care.
So this morning I got a solid smiley face on my Clear blue easy opk, went right from Circle with nothing in it yesterday right past blinking to Solid smiley face this morning.. I also took the other ones I had been using before and that one had a faint line but no where near the control line. I had been using the inexpensive ones since I started testing for my O and never got a solid line that matched the control line. I’m hoping the clear blue east opk is right! Hoping everyone is having a great weekend !
