Re: WTO Saturday 10/14

  • Good morning all, so sorry I P&G'd yesterday - I worked late, then got into the wine and then...the evening just devolved LOL.

    Month/Cycle: 3/3

    CD: 3

WAYDTGKU: a lot of things, but right now really focusing on mindfulness and reducing stress.

R/R: rave: it's a beautiful sunny day and I'm feeling super motivated to go to the gym and have a really healthy day!

CS/Q: Anybody know of any foods/supplements that would help with thickening uterine lining/improving menstrual flow?  I have had really light periods and wondering if that's a sign that my lining is thin.

GTKY: how do you take your coffee (or tea)?
    With a splash of milk!

  • @canucklehead123 Thanks for getting things started today! I went to the gym this morning as well. Let's both have healthy & motivated days!

    Month/Cycle: 8/8

    CD: 7

WAYDTGKU: all the things! + RE consult on Tuesday

R/R: MH and I had a lovely impromptu date night last night. We went out to dinner and then went to see the new Bladerunner movie. It was actually really good, if anyone is thinking of seeing it! Today I have to get a lot of work done, so I'm meeting a friend at a coffee shop to work.

CS/Q: I'm building my list of things to ask the RE. If anyone has any suggestions of things I should add to the list, let me know!

GTKY: how do you take your coffee (or tea)?
I absolutely hate coffee. Don't like the smell or taste, and I don't even like things like coffee flavored ice cream. Yuck! I do love tea though. My favorite is probably chai lattes, but more often lately it's just been a travel mug full of green tea in the mornings.
  • @darkstar42 your date night sounds like it was awesome!! What kind of restaurant did you go to??  Also what type of workouts do you do at the gym? I feel like I'm in a gym rut so want to change it up a bit today!! Andalso good luck for Tuesday - I have no advice on the questions but I'm really hoping it is a helpful and productive appointment for you!

I'm currently watching DH (through side-eyes) walk around the apartment and pick up random objectives from different rooms and put them in the same box... (we're moving in 2 weeks so packing a lot this weekend).... unpacking is going to be a real treat............... *kthxbabe*

@canucklehead123 Just popping in to say that I'm cracking up about YH's packing skills. I really wonder what his thought process is behind that. Hopefully he'll be the one unpacking his boxes. :) I'm also curious to hear if you get any responses about thickening uterine lining. My past couple of periods have been pretty light too...not really light in comparison to others, probably, but I have always had incredibly heavy/long periods, so the change in flow has me really weirded out.
@darkstar42 Hope you can get all prepared for work and for your RE appointment. I'm looking forward to hearing about your appointment!

@canucklehead123. Have you checked out the "How to Get Healthy & Pregnant" podcast? There is an episode on period health with some suggestions...I can't remember them off the top of my head, but that might be a good start.
@darkstar42  I was looking up some questions to ask, so I may PM you later.

    WAYDTGKU: All the bleeding

R/R: ughhh AF cramps blow chunks. Happy that it's the weekend and that my boss is out of the country next week. Will be nice to just work from home.

CS/Q: Nothing to see here. Prob won't start temping again until next week.

GTKY: how do you take your coffee (or tea)?

Splash of almond milk. I'm not lactose intolerant or anything, but my stomach feels better using Almond Milk.
  • Month/Cycle: 31/30

    CD: 9

WAYDTGKU: everything including the kitchen sink, month on our own between IVF cycles so made the most of it the last few days!

R/R: Rant - just boarded a crazy flight to SHANGHAI, I'd forgotten how crazy the flights to china can be. Rave - I'm about to take off for two weeks in China. One week is for work/study and fully planned out, then next Saturday DH joins me and we get to have a week of fun there together. I'm planning nothing other than massages every day ;-)

CS/Q: Had a positive OPK today (and CBAD said peak) which is good as we got timing in the last three days. Going to see what my Ava makes of me sleeping on a long haul flight- just for scientific purposes lol

GTKY: how do you take your coffee (or tea)?
Um I don't! I don't drink either and thus have no idea what strength I'm making for others either. DH is a big coffee lover and takes it as double espresso normally, with real strong coffee beans (no "brown water" as he calls it).

@canucklehead123 I would advise you talk first to your OBGYN as some of the supplements can do more harm than good if taken at the wrong part of the cycle is what my RE told me. There are some herbal remedies which are supposed to mimic Estrogen and progesterone (which is what sets the clock on the window of implantation) and having taken progesterone supplementation (vaginally) the side effects it brings can really mess with your mind if you're a symptom spotter. In fact best would be for your RE to do a trans vaginal US around O time to check your if your lining is thick enough and trilaminar. It takes two minutes- maybe you can schedule a real OB appointment at the right time and just ask in there.

  • @canucklehead123 I was going to suggest the RRL tea as well. I think I might pick some up if I don’t have any luck this cycle. Oh man, with YH’s packing skills, I’m wishing you lots of luck with the move!

@darkstar42 I don’t have any suggestions for questions to ask but wishing you luck at your RE appointment!

@nimmle boo for cramps! Hope you can relax with a heat pack and possibly some ibuprofen, and that they go away ASAP!

@jrm_14 FX for new vitamins helping and I’m glad you and YH had a nice conversation. And I’m certain you are not an asshat!

    @emmasemm enjoy your trip!

WAYDTGKU: Ready to HIO next weekend! OPKs, thermometer should be here this week so I’ll try to get the hang of temping, and I’m just trying to de-stress.

R/R: DH and I went out to dinner last night and I resisted the urge to drink! Tonight is my first night of work though, so that kind of blows.

    CS/Q:

GTKY: how do you take your coffee (or tea)? I love getting flavored coffee with almond milk.

R/R: Its a rainy day here- I wish it was cooler so we could have a fire

GTKY: how do you take your coffee (or tea)?

Water, hold the coffee or tea.
  • @dukestar5 I just check the podcast out - thanks for the tip!  She suggests eating warm, cooked foods and foods that build blood (like animal proteins, beets, leafy greens and bone broth). Those are the kinds of tips I'm interested in (as @emmasemm you're absolutely right, I don't want to supplement without medical supervision).. I recognize I said supplements in my original post but I meant more along the lines of a B12 complex and not so much the herbals (although I have been drinking RRLT from CD1-O for the past two cycles, but the flow has not increased in volume or length at all so far).  Went out and bought some beautiful organic grass-fed bone broth for the week!  She also suggested acupuncture - I might have to overcome my fear of needles and try it!
@jrm_14 I finally asked DH to organize the packing a little bit more by room...and he was like "nah"  OMG!! lol.  FX for the vitamins for YH - I'm glad you were able to have such an honest and open conversation!
