I have, the last few days, been incredibly parched. My water intake had been lagging, so I didn't think much of it, but now I'm at four bottles of water in as many hours and still dry-mouthed. I will be very, very angry if it turns out I hit gestational diabetes this time around.
Like @supercoolstephy I also have an anterior placenta and have been drinking more water to feel the little dude. I know, I know...I'm crazy!
Also, I'm with y'all on the shortness of breath. My office is on the main floor, but my classroom is upstairs (I spend 50% of my day in each)...I'm literally packing a backpack of water and snacks and all the things I might need in the classroom so I don't have to run down and up. It's a joke really.
@scatteringashes I'm like that too, always thirsty but I passed my GD screening. I know it has a lot of sugar but drinking a Gatorade in addition to all the water has helped me be a little less thirsty.
About to go there with this but need to know if others have experienced similar....pretty sure I have a varicose vein issue...right next to my lady parts. I've had a ton of pressure after running lately so I took a look with a mirror and holy goodness, not a good look there! Do I call this in? Is there anything to do to avoid it worsening?! I didn't even get a hint of anything like this with DS (not even hemorrhoids during the birth, etc.)
@myorke24 so sorry you're dealing with this, it sounds incredibly painful! A friend of mine gets them during her pregnancies and right before AF comes too. I know they recommend compression tights for varicose veins in the leg so maybe some sort of super supportive undergarment?

@bainidhedub last pregnancy I was getting heartburn so bad just drinking water. My OB kept telling me to drink water and I was like Please sweet baby Jesus, all that is holy, please stop telling me to drink water, it hurts. She ended up recommending taking pepcid twice a day, and once I started taking them, it went away... mostly.
@Jmedeiros24 I'm soooooo sorry and feel your pain i've been sick since monday night and have just finally started to feel better. take it easy and rest if you can.

@scatteringashes I'm glad I'm not the only one with the water worry. I am just. So. Thirsty. I don't want to eat, only drink liquids forever. I'm worried about GD too. Trying to reduce sodas (which I have been craving like mad) and drink water and fruit juices only, but it's hard. I do add the occasional gatorade which I've found helps some of my other preggo symptoms like leg cramps. I think sometimes I really need the electrolytes.
@myorke24 I have one. It only hurts occasionally but it feels very swollen. I didn't tell my doctor yet. My sister had them bad during her pregnancies to the point she couldn't even walk and even got them removed between her third and fourth pregnancies. Mine isn't that bad so I'm just letting it be. I also I have them very bad on my legs right now. Dam genetics.

@KatieEl@jakobaby, thanks, I actually had to call the Dr because I started passing blood clots out my back side....so gross. I went in for an ultrasound and waiting for results.
@PhillymommaX2@KatieEl Thank you for alleviating the part of me that was starting to worry I was not normal. Ugh..it's on one side and seems worst when sitting or when "full" (swollen?). I felt for it while standing or walking and it does not seem present?! I guess I should have expected something vein related. My Mother and Maternal Grandmother both struggle/ed horrifically with them in their legs. Very full, painful, and bruised looking. I thought maybe I inherited more of my Dad's genes since I did not have any occur all the way through my first pregnancy with DS. I'm nervous now for 3rd Tri! If this is at 27 weeks...not good with about 10+ more lbs. coming my way and a steadily growing Babe resting on it.
Well they said my cervix is long and closed which is good but I still have rectal bleeding and lots of discomfort. I'm going to see my Dr tomorrow so hopefully we can figure out what's going on.
@myorke24 I think I am having a similar vein issue in the same region. Embarrassing! I'm almost 27 weeks now and entering the phase of, "will I ever look normal again?! Will I always feel this hideous?!" This is my 3rd baby so I should know better that I will recover, but I don't recall having this specific, ridiculous issue.
@trudytudy Keep me posted on any recs from your OB/Midwife! I have my next appt. next week. I'm afraid to mention it because I definitely don't want a full on exam down there at this stage of the game.
@supercoolstephy Ugh. Sorry to see that. They mentioned a slight one after pushing DS but it was gone at two weeks PP. Like do they hurt or itch or what in the...? It's not enough we have to have a baby physically removed from our body, can't the other organs and systems just CHILL.
OMG I woke up this morning in horrible foot pain. No idea why, my feet were fine yesterday. There's no swelling, there's no bruising, I did not injure it. It just feels like it's going to snap in half at the arch and I can hardly walk. I cried all the way to work, because my doctor can't see me until 11:30.
Ugh I think I'm getting sick. I've been SO TIRED the last few days (more so than usual). I could not focus/stay awake during my Hypnobabies practice last night, even during the finger drop technique exercise (that basically requires you to focus for 30 seconds at a time for 15 minutes). I woke up with a bloody nose and I've been starting to cough a little bit. Feels like it's in my chest.
Ughhhh now my foot is swollen and I'm at the hospital waiting to be checked for DVT. And if there's no clots, then I'm apparently getting checked for fractures.
@missblaze I literally said “maybe you’re pregnant”. Not like sarcasm either. But like whenever I would tell people I was tired (pre-pregnancy) they’d always respond with “maybe you’re pregnant.”
Well, no clots and no fractures. Just one watermelon sized foot that hurts like [expletive reacted] and instructions to stay flat and keep it elevated all weekend. So now I'm crying in the hospital lobby waiting for my ride, because that should be good news but I was kind of hoping to find out WHY I hurt so much.
I had a massage yesterday, I've been seeing the same therapist for 2 years since pregnant with DD. So she is always pretty open and up front with me. She got to my legs and my calves were just frozen solid. She asked me "are you running up stairs for fun again?". No just these horrible leg cramps. So she killed my calves but i didn't have so many cramps last night.
Also, ordered the natural calm as recommended. Should be here tomorrow, yay
