@dukestar5 Haha I just saw that you did a Halloween costume GTKY too! My favorite as a kid was Jasmine. I wore it a few years in a row until I outgrew it.
  • @SkilledSailor Yay for rest day. I hope you have something fun planned? That gif is awesome! Winning!

    Month/Cycle: 4/5 (1/1 benched)

    CD: 3

WAYDTGKU: pom juice, bbt, temping, hio, pnv, ubiquinol, epo

R/R: Meh...MH and I had big talks last night. Just about adjusting to him getting back home after sailing and expectations etc. He is not big on communication and it drives me nuts when all I want to do when when I get home is talk to him. I can have emails and texts when he is at sea. I want more when he is home! He will be better though.

    CS/Q: Nothing to see yet.

GTKY: Beautiful Unicorn. I don't know....I am kinda jealous of the sassy toilet. Just sayin!
  • @SkilledSailor I'm sorry you are at the point you need to see an RE but I am glad you have a path forward! Can you remind me again what your symptoms/previous diagnosis is? I know you mentioned that you had special circumstances that pointed to needing to see an RE I was just curious :) hoping it's something easily treatable and you will be KU in no time! Oh also, given my MFI I still highly recommend having YH get an SA prior to your appointment, just in case.

@nitnat007 I hope the conversation was good last night :)

@darkstar42 Your RE appointment is so close!! I'm glad you are getting to the hopeful point in your cycle :) I am getting there too! Even though I still am not hopeful given DH diagnosis I am hopeful his appointment will result in a plan!

@JennyColada & @MrsMiller8588 I had to breakdown and buy a daily pill dispenser so i don't forgot if i took my PNV or not.  Does that make me old?
  • @JennyColada I keep my vitamins with the rest of my products (face wash, makeup remover, toothbrush, etc.) that I use before going to bed so I remember to take them then.  Maybe that would help you get into the routine of taking them?

@Sarafuss nope, no trigger. I did 3 cycles of Clomid or Letrozole with Ovidrel trigger and IUI but they didn't work. My insurance will pay for IVF, but only after 6 medicated cycles, so we are now on medicated cycle 5 (3 IUI and 2 TI) waiting to do IVF. We are trying to minimize cost at this point prior to IVF and a trigger would require u/s monitoring, so its just TI. Basically- we know this and next cycle will be a wash, and we are just doing it to put a check in the box for insurance to move onto IVF.
  • @MrsMiller8588 So glad your presentations went well! YH has an appointment with a urologist, right? When is it?

@JennyColada It feels like the FW always comes at the most inconvenient times! Fx you can make things work! And yes, zebras are inherently cool.

@blackhottamales I thought about getting a pill dispenser, but I don’t think it would fit everything I’m taking. Sigh. I totally feel old.

@jrm_14 I think we’re just going to eat at the dining hall on campus, so nothing very exciting. We’ll probably grab our food and then sit in the faculty lounge, so it’s more private in case we burst into tears talking about IF. I will definitely take a notebook with me! Thanks for the reminder. <3 Also, temping is not a requirement for ttc! If it doesn’t work for you, it doesn’t work for you. It does not make you a ttc failure. There are plenty of other ways of identifying when you O. *hugs*

@Sarafuss Hey there fellow December b-day! Enjoy the lovely fall day! What kind of events are you going to this weekend?

@kiwi2628 Aren’t all iPhones sassy? :) Yay for imminent O day!

  • @nitnat007  @darkstar42    Just been lounging/cleaning/watching tv. I have a massage this afternoon and we're going to a bar to watch the game tonight.

@nitnat007  It's good you and your H talked about communication. I know that it can be tough to talk about needs that aren't being met. Glad things are looking better!

@darkstar42  Glad you're feeling better about your cycle! It's nice that you have a friend you can talk to about all of this. How was lunch?

@mrsmiller8588 Great news about your first presentation! When will you need to go back for the second one? I have ovarian cysts. I've never checked hormone levels for PCOS, just treated them with BC. We will be doing an SA as well. We're concerned H's old lab effected fertility. Multiple women he worked with in his small lab also had IF.

@jennycolada How is work going? You sound busy!

@jrm_14 We're going to the High Point Furniture Market, getting new inventory. They wine and dine you and it's basically a massive shopping spree for the business. I'm hoping to attend a few seminars as well. Don't feel bad about poor temping. Sleep is important. Do you use OPKs?

@sarafuss What events are you hoping to go to?

@kiwi2628  Haha your GTKY answer reminds me of Siri.

@skilledsailor Good luck with the RE later this cycle :) Yay, I'm glad you're having a rest day, didn't you have a haircut scheduled for sometime this week?  Or something fun planned?  I vaguely recall mentions of this last week :)  HAHA, sassy toilet FTW!

@nitnat007 I'm so glad YH is home now :)  I hope he gets with the program of more communication.  MH is not a big talker at times drives me a little crazy :)  And yes, you would make a beautiful unicorn ;)

@darkstar42 Bahaha, @ a dead trashcan.  How does one even make a trashcan dead?  FX for your RE appt next week.  I hope lunch goes well with your friend today, what are you planning on eating? (can you tell I'm hungry?)  Yay for kitty cuddles, how's the foot attacker been lately?

@MrsMiller8588 Glad your presentation went well, what was it on? (apologies if you've already stated previously/elsewhere, I've been a terrible lurker/bumpie lately).  Aren't goldfish always naked?  Or would that be a goldfish with not scales?  I think I'm taking these too literally :D

@jennycolada *hugs* I don't know if I've missed the reasoning behind your upset (as stated above I've been awful at lurking lately), but I'm so sorry to hear you're having a rough time.  I'm always here if you need to vent or get your mind off of whatever is going on.  (I habitually check my PMs even if I'm not posting much). Ugh, that sucks about your long hours, FX you can make the HIO work.
ETA: Holy balls I must sound like a crazy lady.  I totally read "I'm not too upset though" as "I'm too upset though".  Feel free to ignore me LMFAO :D:D:D

@blackhottamales nah... not old ;)  Thankfully I'm pretty used to taking my meds daily so it's fairly easy for me to remember to take everything together, unless it's the weekend... or my schedule is thrown off... then it's a crapshoot

@jrm_14 heh... I feel like a confused iphone is very fitting for you ;)  Have you gotten used to your keyboard yet :D YAY!  Travel day!  Keep bribing the desk lady, maybe she'll eventually give in and agree to just work whereever you are (cause that's how these things work, right?) You're not a TTC failure... you're just a little special :D

@sarafuss Hooray for focusing on positives!  I try to do that, but easily slip back our of it.  It's my "Friday" today too!  *High five Friday friend!!* What type of events are you hoping to go to?

@kiwi2628 FX you O as expected :D  *scratching head* for some reason I'm not seeing any spoiler today... I'm trying to imagine what a sassy iphone would look like.

  • Hey ladies!  I am so sorry that I've been such a turd lately.  I've been a terrible lurker/bumpie.  Work has been busy and I've been lazy.  I feel terrible for not getting back to do comments earlier this week, shame on Coconuts! FX I start doing better <3 you all!!!  I promise even though I haven't been commenting/posting much I've been thinking and rooting you all on *HUGS*

    Month/Cycle: 9/8

CD: 3 (again... does your cycle restart after a non-o cycle?  from what I've read I'm not having a "real" period so... I guess it doesn't matter either way?)

WAYDTGKU: Vitamins/supplements, gonna start temping once the bleeding ends, OPKs ready to roll, and TTC lube samples ready to try - I feel oddly prepared

R/R: It's my Friiiiiidaaaayyyyy!!!!! I'm so excited no OT this week!  I threatened the production manager with spitting in his coffee if he changed his mind at the last minute.  So yesterday it was "officially" no OT because he wants to maintain spit-free coffee.  Next Friday will be OT though (with a weeks advanced notice I'm not too irked about it though).  I'll probably agree to do 4-5 hours and tell them that's all.  My plans for tomorrow are clean, binge watch something crappy (or not crappy), maybe take a nap, and be all sorts of lazy!
H made homemade chili last night, which was/is very good, but ai chi wah wah it is SPICY!  And we forgot to get sour cream so I only made it through 1/2 a bowl before calling it quits.  Looking forward to leftovers (once we get sour cream that is) :)

CS/Q: BORING! Nothing to see here yet.

GTKY: What's your Halloween costume based on this chart? In spoiler because it's huge for some reason.
Cool Goldfish - all I can imagine is dressing up like a goldfish and putting on sunglasses... or a bowtie, cause bowties are cool

  • @lurvleybunchococonuts Good memory! I had hoped to schedule a hair appt but my stylist has grown quite popular and books 3 weeks out  :o I do have a massage though, which is always nice. Glad you have a true four day work week this time! Have you talked to a doctor about your non-O cycle?
  • @lurvleybunchococonuts @SkilledSailor @darkstar42 there is a fall festival with food, rides for the kids, craft booths in our town all weekend so I'm sure we will go there for a little bit.  There is also this light/art show thing in Cincinnati this weekend.  I don't know how to accurately describe it (and it's the first time they've done it so I don't know exactly what to expect) so I'll just copy and paste from the About section of the website lol.

"BLINK, October 12th to the 15th 2017, is expected to be one of the largest light, "art and projection mapping events in the nation. The four-day event will feature large-scale projection mapping installations, murals, urban artscapes, media light and interactive art in Cincinnati, OH. BLINK will span 20 city blocks, from Cincinnati's Banks to Findlay Market. Food and beverages will also be available. BLINK is free and open to the public - no tickets are required."

  • @darkstar42 We definitely have a better understanding on it. I try and explain to him that I go from basically being single to full time partner and *TW/ step-mom in a blink of an eye. We get DSS from the minute he gets home and almost until he leaves again, so very little alone time for us. /TW* There are moments that I struggle and need to still connect with him on the "him and I" level. Enjoy lunch today. I hope that your friend is able to share some knowledge with you.

@MrsMiller8588 Glad to hear your presentation went well. Be safe driving! Conversation went really well, thanks!

@JennyColada Hope you still get to hip next week even with longer hours.

@jrm_14 Thanks. Once I get him going he is normally pretty good about it and very accepting to my concerns. But now that I have told him I am trying to start conversation with him when I tell him things, I am anticipate a lot of ridiculous questions from him trying to keep conversation going, and some eye rolling from me. But, the effort is what counts! Gl convincing YH to DTD tonight. I am sure you can use your powers of persuasion.

    @kiwi2628 Sassy iPhone is awesome!

@Skilledsailor Enjoy that massage today! Hope it is extra relaxing for you.

@lurvleybunchofcoconuts Thanks friend! Have missed you on the dailies. Nicely done with the spit threat lol, glad it worked. Half day next week isn't too shabby either, plus OT! Enjoy leftover chili and a wonderful day off tomorrow! Super jealous and digging the goldfish with a bow tie visual.

  • @kiwi2628 oh gotcha.  I was curious because we have done Femara+Ovidrel+TI in the past and I'm thinking of calling the RE again.  But costs are keeping me from calling him.  The trigger is always to most expensive med for us.  Not that I want to go forward without the trigger and u/s monitoring.  But it'd be cool if I could get away with not having to pay for it.  Anyway, I was just curious of the reason behind your protocol.  Like I said, nosy lol.

  • @darkstar42 yes! DHs appointment with the urologist is 2 weeks from tomorrow! Excited to hopefully get some answers or at least know if we need to move right to IVF or not!

@SkilledSailor not sure when I have to go back yet. Maybe 2 weeks, maybe in a month? I have to be in the area in November anyway so that would work nicely! Sorry about your cysts! Are the painful as well? Hopefully the RE can control them and you will be KU in no time ;) super scary about YHs lab and possibly being connected to IF. I will be thinking of you and hope everything checks out. What does YH do?

@lurvleybunchococonuts My presentation was on spill prevention (I work in environmental for an oil company). I think goldfish are always naked.. just a short long as I don't have to go naked for my "costume". I think it's common to start CD 1 after an-O cycles just like you would for O cycles. Have you had an-O cycles in the past that you know of? FX it was just a one time thing. If it keeps happening I would definitely talk to your Dr.

  • @MrsMiller8588: The Bona mop/cleaner supplies. The dusting cloth for the mop picked up all the dog hair and my dog sheds like a beast. I'm waiting to see how the cleaner itself does since I just finished that part. But overall, not too shabby.

  • @darkstar42: I played for 15 years before messing up my knee and coached the last 4 years. So just a bit. I usually root for Germany, but there's something nice about having your own team play. And thanks for the recipe!

  • @lunapup Awesome! (Except the bit about messing up your knee). I played as kid, but stopped at high school. I always keep an eye on Germany as well! Really hoping that sports bars still show the games even without the US playing!
  • @lunapup Okay definitely googling that because I have two large shedding dogs and can't keep up!

@darkstar42 I'm glad lunch with your friend was good!  It's nice to have a friend IRL who understands what you are going through.

  • @SkilledSailor @darkstar42 wishing you lots of luck with your RE appointments!

@JennyColada to help with taking my pills in the morning, I keep them right next to the Keurig since that’s my first stop.

@lurvleybunchococonuts now I want some chili! I love it spicy with tons of sour cream. The weather is finally cooling down here so I think it’s time to pull out the crock pot for chilis and stews!
  • @lurvleybunchococonuts haha I’m no saint, you don’t even want to know my daily coffee intake! That is one thing that I don’t think I’ll ever be able to give up! DH and I took a vacation to the Finger Lakes last month so I had one last hoorah before temporarily giving up my wine.
  • @lunapup I ordered the bona mop set from Amazon :# thanks for raving about it!
