@offtoneverland@Mmyles87@sammich_cat I just rinse the parts every other time, and sterilize them every other use (yay medela bags.) Then I give then a good wash on the weekends. Right now I pump 3x a day. I'm currently over producing some but I need a freezer stash to help supplement until 18m. He has a dairy allergy and takes medication that make soy impossible for about half the day. I asked his dr and she looked into it, but pretty much said the best is either cows milk, soy, or breast milk until 18m - after that almond and/or coconut milk would be fine. But its the fat and protein that are needed for brain development up to 18m. So I'm trying to make a good stash, so I kind of was hoping to keep up at least some of what I'm doing even when his intake drops. I do still expect to drop my production some, but just not as much as I might otherwise.
Thank you guys for your help! It definitely gave me a path you focus on and better/pointed questions for the future.
@Mylitta@offtoneverland@sammich_cat yes, I have heard you can just put all your pump parts in the fridge so you don’t have to wash them after every use which is a huge time saver. I do not miss washing all those little parts.
@Mylitta good luck to you! It sounds like you have good plan moving forward! I have a few friends who’s kids drink almond/coconut milk and love it. I think it made a difference they did it from the start so they don’t know any difference now.
@Mylitta from 6mo-10 months I only pumped twice at work. At 11 months I went to one pump and by the time he was 1 I was able to go without pumping at work at all. I would get a little engorged (still do, sometimes) but not too bad.
@Mmyles87 Awesome. I'm hopeful he outgrows the allergy, but I don't know that milk will ever really be ok for him. H and most of his family have issues with milk/dairy. But H can do yogurt fine and cheese in moderation. Just not really milk. I'm hoping DS is similar... no one should ever miss out on cheese.
@lalala2004 I work a 12 hour shift. So its about every 4 hours. I could like go 6, (as DS only eats one side at a time usually, so they normally go longer) but I'm not minding the little bit extra to freeze... Maybe at 10 or 11 months I'll drop to twice. Then it won't be such a big deal because I'll know what my frozen looks like and can calm down, because my issue is basically me over planning.
Just to chime in on the milk thing...I've given DD2 almond milk from about 13 months. I started giving her that once she night weaned. She wouldn't drink cow's milk. I tried and tried, but she never took to it. She took to almond milk readily, so now the whole house made the switch....and I think all of our tummies are happier. Just wanted to chime in that almond worked for us, and DD2 is doing great health wise. So if they don't take to cow's milk, I wouldn't worry

I think this is normally good advice, but with a dairy allergy I understand the pediatrician's concern about making sure they get enough healthy fats. Totally doable, but not as easy if there is a dairy allergy.
WTO/TWW? Who even knows, I suck at tracking this time. I am CD 39.
Ages of other child(ren)? 18 months
Any thoughts about this cycle? Ok, two days ago I got BFN and checked it after the limit (flame away) and had a faint line, pink not gray. Of course got tentatively excited but all BFN since. I believe I am out, just waiting for AF so I can start again. I have PCOS (but I am treating it and I believe it to be working) and am not 100% regular since giving birth. But my last cycle was 34 days soooo maybe it is getting better!
Any questions?
