33w4d today with the little miss. First goal is to make it to 34 weeks, and we're almost there! I've been working from home in an effort to stay relaxed and keep BP low. Generally I've stayed in the 145/95 range- not ideal, but good for preeclampsia.
Met with our doula yesterday and I feel a bit more at ease as she's said she's worked with preeclampsia cases before and they've turned out ok.
QOTW: I am Violet from Willy Wonka with my bloating.

@LeFemmeViolette I am glad to hear that working from home is helping a little and that your Doula was able to ease your nerves!

Hi all, I go here now! 28weeks with a singleton (EDD 12/25) we are team green. Overall feeling ok, large and in charge but OK. It would be nice if people could stop commenting on how large I am, that I look like I'm going to pop any second or I must be having one HUGE baby or that I waddle now. Please instead say I look lovely, glowing or just keep your mouth shut. I had my GD test this morning so hopefully the results are good and I met with an OB and I have the official OK to try for a VBAC.
@LeFemmeViolette glad your baby girl is cooking away and the BP is a little better. @Joslynj11 I got my flu shot today. I had some HB with the twins, DS had a full head of hair, DD was completely bald...

36 weeks here. Had my first check last week, baby is head down and looking good! I have a good friend who went 3 weeks early, hearing that finally got my husbands butt in gear, he said he'll install car seat bases tonight
@wabash15 ugh the comments!! I'm around moms this time who are wonderful but last pregnancy in a corporate workplace it was BRUTAL. "Are you hiding a twin? holy sh**!! A bit much ice cream?" Ummm f you all.
@LeFemmeViolette yay grow baby grow!! Glad you can relax a bit to help.
@Joslynj11 it was true with my daughter! Holy heartburn, she had pigtails by 2 months.
QOTW
(I don't know if this will be it for us so I'm trying to love this but.... I'm ready haha).
Hey ladies, I hope everyone had a great weekend. 40+4 today with the little girl. I had my "41 week" appt today and BP was again elevated. After a lot of discussion with our OB and another check (1.5 cm dilated, still 75-80% effaced), we agreed to start induction this evening. Interestingly enough, I did start getting some legit contractions today. Had one noticeable one in bed this morning and then they picked up after my appt, maybe partly due to the cervix check. Mostly feel like period cramps, but one just started up in my back as I'm typing this update. I'm really anxious about everything right now and kinda sad I couldn't start labor naturally, but I'm very excited to meet this little lady.
@Joslynj11 Amen to the heartburn! It started at 6 weeks for me and has just lingered this whole pregnancy. I wouldn’t mind a hairy baby though, my friend’s baby came out with a full head of hair and it was adorable!!
@EmilyE13 Good luck tonight!! So excited you get to meet your little one!! Eep!
AFM, 30+3 today, got my flu shot on Friday even though I had a cold and it definitely made the cold worse. I spent this morning sweating through a meeting, more than usual anyway haha. I also tried painting our crib white this weekend (chalk paint is the WORST!)....let’s just say we will be buying a new crib - thankfully the one I painted was free.
Is anyone else excited, yet terrified that these babies are coming soon?? This is my first and the thought of labor and having the baby in my arms scares the poop out of me even though I’m dying to meet this little guy!! It’s such a weird feeling!
I love this gif because I have eaten sooooo many burritos this pregnancy!!

TTC #2 since July 2018 May 2019 IVF #2: BFP! (beta#1 346, beta#2 646) - vanishing twin at 8 weeks. Baby B still going strong - due 2/8/20!
@Emily13 I hope your baby is safe and sound in your arms soon!
@PoeMasque I mentioned to my sister that more than half of moms expecting twins give birth at or before 35 weeks. Then we squealed together for a bit and then a layer of panic started in. I'm ready I think, but the house, SO not ready to welcome twins yet.
Ohhh ladies I've been lucky with the heartburn overall but my sleeping has seriously degraded the past week or so. We have been experimenting with pillow/comforters/wedge pillow combos to keep me upright since laying flat immediately closes down my sinuses and results in breathing discomfort. Sometimes I wish I had a recliner.
My appointment yesterday was with the MFM doctor. Still no good images of Baby B's heart function or kidneys so I've got some concern there. The heart beat itself is on track and we did get images of the umbilical cord for baby b which also looks good. Baby B is the boy and weighs in at 3lb 1 oz and has flipped to breech. Baby A is smaller at 2lb 13 oz, good looks at all the internal organs but no sex confirmation. I'm going with Baby A being our girl as that is what we were told way back in week 18.
My weight is on track for my plus size but my blood pressure continues to slowly creep up.
So after our appointment we went to pay our portion for holding our shower location at the local community center and we went and had an ice cream cone. It was great. The guy that owns the shop was dishing it out. My cone was huge compared to husbands. The owner was like that's on purpose she needs extra for the little one. Then my husband was like extra for the two of them, cause he so happy right now and can't resist telling everyone he comes across.
@PoeMasque I am right there with you on being excited/terrified. Its my first too so Labor and Delivery is definitely intimidating! Sorry you are having so much heartburn too, I mean it really is brutal. Sometimes it stops me mid sentence for a few minutes and people just look at me like I am crazy haha
@EmilyE13 Hope we get an update from you soon girlie! Thinking about you!

BP spiked to 180 at home, so we went to L&D. I was kept there and monitored, but BP never went down so it was decided I'd made it as far as I could with the Pre-E and it was time to induce. Was given magnesium (yuck), foley bulb, and pitocin. But failed to be induced. Ended up needing a C-section, but the failed induction time at least allowed us to get 2 steroid shots in for our little girl. She was officially born on 10/4 at 33w6d.
I'm finally feeling more like myself today, and Hazel is making strides too. No more CPAP for her!
