The weekend was busy. Lots of errands. I feel like there is never enough time to get anything done. My H has the dreaded man cold and has been complaining since yesterday. I had the same cold last weekend, while I entertained his parents and my sister, while pregnant (with no cold medicine). He needs to suck it up.
@catlady1215 - Fall needs to make up its mind here too. It’s cool enough in the morning for fall weather clothes, but a couple hours later it’s in the 80s. Ugh
I’m excited it’s finally October! I now feel like I can start putting out fall decorations with no guilt. I do wish the weather would get it together and realize it is fall though. We will be in the high 80s all week and early into the week next week.
I’m also going to be sending out invitations to our big “Friendsgiving” we host the Saturday of Thanksgiving week. I always love this event because it’s our closest friends and family all gatherinf around and enjoying my favorite meal of the year. I’m extra excited about it this year though because it will be when we (hopefully) announce this pregnancy to everyone. Last time we told some people before the big announcement, but this time we have decided that everyone (including immediate family) will all find out together at Friendsgiving. So I am getting excited planning out the event this year
@BurlapandLace Sounds like such a fun event!! I put up our leaves and some fall decor a few weeks ago but now that it's October I will put up my Halloween stuff.
I agree on not enough time to get everything done! I had Friday afternoon and still get all the laundry done/folded/put away!
I have Betas/Progesterone/other Labs at 12:40 today so I'm looking forward to those results!!!
ETA: Betas came back at 4923 today. They were 2818 on Thursday.

"Dear Lord, I would have loved to have held my babies on my lap & tell them about you, but since I didn't get the chance, would you please hold them on your lap & tell them about me?" All are welcome!
We had a really fun weekend. We celebrated her fifth wedding anniversary on Friday with the kids. We did the zoo and then an Apple Festival around here.
Saturday I drove three hours east to go help a friend prep for her baby who is due in two weeks. She's a FTM, we focused on filling out her birth wishes sheet from her doctor and we made a ton of freezer meals. Overall I had a good time, I didn't know I was PG so I was slightly jealous and had sad feelings but tried really hard to just be there for my friend. She joked with me Saturday night about me taking a pregnancy test and I'm glad I waited until I was home. This weekend was about prepping for her and her baby, I won't tell her until at least a few weeks after her baby comes.
I had a team meeting on Sunday and I'm so tired. DD is fighting off a nasty cold and fever so I kept her home from preschool today. We're having a snuggly day on the couch with DS.
@morristhecatmom that's so nice of you to help your friend with all of that! Freezer meals will be so important and on my list this time around. Last time, my neighbors kept us so well fed but we just moved and our neighborhood isn't quite the same (busier road, so we don't really see people out and about). I hope your DD feels better!
I'm itching to share this with people and can't anywhere else. Haha. My SIL is in all the online sewing groups I'm in. I love sewing and make a bunch of our clothes. DS picked this fabric out a couple months ago for pants. So here are a size up for him (to fit next summer- size 3T) and 0-3 month size. I am in love with these!! I'm also going to make shirts that say brother bear and baby bear
Here's my random for the week: I was JUST getting back in to working out and being serious about it when I got my bfp. I'm excited to be pregnant, but I'm also 30 lbs heavier than I was the first time around and trying to be super careful about not gaining 50 lbs again. I never experienced MS, just extreme hunger that left me in pain.
GUYS!! We saw a heartbeat today!! measured 109bmp I'm only 5+5. She said she could barely get a great measurement on the baby cause it was so small, but I saw the flicker before she even pointed it out!
i don't feel in the clear what so ever. But last loss, we had an ultrasound at 5+4, and I think only the sac and yoke were confirmed at that point.

@catlady1215 GREAT NEWS!!!! I'm so happy for you! I know you'll probably never feel 100% in the clear, but it's so great that you've passed this first milestone. If only you could celebrate with wine!
YAY!!! @catlady1215!!!!! That's so awesome!!! So happy for you!!

@catlady1215 that's the best news ever! @meagster13 I sew also and have been looking all over for a pattern for those style pants but as shorts! Where did you find it? @marcus7676 I just thought of this comic blogger Hurrah for Gin when you mentioned man cold. She's hysterical about parenting and such.
My random.. I am tired.. Hot and tired of being hot. Can I get a homeschooling substitute teacher for. The next 7.5 months? I also would like to apply for a personal trainer.. But one who can just do the exercises while I absorb the results through osmosis?
@Dashaina its a pattern designer called made by jacks mum. I LOVE her patterns and own all but maybe one or 2. Haha. This pattern actually has a shorts option. I've made them for my son but can't find a picture atm. What kinds of things do you typically sew?
My little guy's babysitter just called and told me he's not feeling the greatest. Mucus, runny poops, a little cough...poor guy was okay yesterday and this morning so I got him an appointment this afternoon.
I have acquired a major hate of hot sauce, which is totally new. Hubs got a buffalo chicken sandwich from Burger King on the way home and I almost puked going down the interstate. He didn't think my gagging was humorous but I wasn't playing.
My just turned 5 yr old keeps mentioning a baby in my belly since before I got my positive.
Back then he was telling me things they say they are thankful for in their school prayers. So we were going through stuff... house, fam, his Dino toys. Then he said baby in my tummy. I redirected him cause we have pregnant fam members and a new baby cousin. And I didn't have a BFP yet. But yesterday he straight up asked if one was in there. We won't tell him till we know everything is ok cause we told him with the losses... and he had a few sad comments after the loss that ripped me in 2.
we have told him in the past year babies come from bellies. And he'll ask who was in so-so's belly once in awhile. But it's weird he's straight up asking if I have one.

@catlady1215 My 3yo asked me about the baby in my belly before I got a bfp too! She's been asking about it almost everyday now. I try to quickly change the subject because I don't want to lie to her but I don't want her to know yet. She will tell everyone!
@dinodna3 that's how ive been feeling! I feel bad lying to him! I just say 'ohh you mean ____, she has a baby in her belly!' And he goes 'no! You do!' It's the weirdest thing.

Ok. So on the subject of kiddos being keen on this kind of stuff...
last cycle I had been testing on cheapies and was getting nothing. So I thought we were out. On the day my period was due, I didn’t wake up bleeding like normal, but thought it would just come that afternoon.
However, when DS woke up from his nap that day, he exclaimed “momma! Kiss your belly!” Out of nowhere. It was so crazy! So I went and tested on a FRER (cheapie still neg) and got the BFP.
*TW - CP mentioned* unfortunately a few days, a few more conflicitinf pee tests and a positive blood test later, I started bleeding*
Y'all are reminding me of that crazy Reddit thread that was basically like, kids are psychic and see ghosts. LOL do you know what I'm talking about? I need to find it.
@doxiemoxie212 my dd has done something creepy like that. She was pretty young and could talk well. She woke up one morning asking about a man (can't remember the name) in her room or outside her window and she doesn't even know anyone with that name. I knew a few people with the name but it's not anyone we talk about or that she's ever met. I asked daycare and they said no one's dad is even named that. Wasn't in any of the shows she watches or that we watch. So weird.
Fighting the fatigue today. Brought my son to a local farm and hung out with the animals. I am so jealous of everyone who is having appts already. My doctor won't see me to check any levels until almost 9 weeks.
My mom claims I was psychic when I was little because I'd say what she was going to say before she said it, but I maintain she's just extremely predictable lol lol.
I feel ya @mamabear0618, my first doctor appointment isn't until 7 and a half weeks. It feels like forever away. They usually can't see much before 7 weeks so unless there's an issue I think 7-9 weeks is pretty standard.

At my facility the doctor won't to the u/s until 8 to 10 weeks (unless something is wrong of course). It's such a long time to wait!! I'm schedule for 8w1d.
Yeah, mine won't do it before 8 weeks, so based on my vacation I'm doing my first appt at 8+4. And the front desk can't tell me if the doctor will do an ultrasound or not because it's "based on what the doctor decides to do in the moment." WTF?
