Rant/Rave: Had such a bad day yesterday...it just kept getting worse and worse, but today is a new day, and it's been going just fine! Thank goodness...So sorry I haven't been replying back these past couple of days. Each time DH leaves it takes me a few days to get into a groove and find my routine I hope to hear lots of great stories from the gtky today!
CS/Q: Post in a bit...huge temp spike this morning, but I did a chart overlay, and I had the exact temp spike, to the exact degree last cycle. I know it basically means nothing this early, but I found it interesting!
GTKY: Fondest childhood memory? One of the only family vacation we ever took was to Lake Eufala in Oklahoma. We rented a cabin, and hung out in or on the lake the whole time. We BBQ'd, and just spent time with one another. It ended with a huge fight between my parents of course, but while we were there we were all getting along, and enjoying each other...which was kind of rare. If you've never been, it's a huge man-made lake...and surprising that something like that exists where it does.
Testing: Saturday, but based on previous charts I should have a good idea by Friday.
Typical LP length: 12
Rant/Rave: Rant: Ah so much to do! It's hard to get back to 100% when you're busy. Rave: Coffee.
CS/Q:
GTKY: I don't know if I have any one favorite. I have a lot of little memories that come back at different times. Since it's fall I remember playing in the "giant" leaf piles at my grandparents Philly house. In hindsight, I was tiny so they probably weren't that big but they went to my chest and my brother and I hid in the piles and just lounged around. It felt magical.
@josie12367 I'm loving the chart overlay feature. I've found I have spikes on certain days too. Pretty interesting. Glad today is going better! Can you please remind me when your H will be back?
@SkilledSailor He won't be back till just before Thanksgiving. If this cycle is a bust, I'm totally springing for the VIP FF, so I can play with all its cool features. And I absolutely love your GTKY...playing in leaves was always a favourite of mine too! Are you still in that part of the country? Is it getting any cooler over on that side of the world?
@josie12367 I'm sorry you had such a bad day yesterday. But yes! Today IS a new day! Also your meaningless (hehe) temp spike is so pretty! @SkilledSailor yum coffee! I'm needing lots of that this week!

GTKY: Fondest childhood memory? This is maybe weird, as it's not so much an activity that I did, but it makes me think of my childhood and smile: my mom used to submit recipes to competitions (like mail in ones at the back of Bon Appeite magazine) and she's won a few! She has her certificates hanging in the kitchen and looking at them (or thinking about how she has them) make me smile! When people came over they'd always think they were cool. Since she won them when I was a kid they make me think of my childhood.
Rant/Rave: I've been fighting a cold or something (I took Monday as a sick day). I'm feeling tons better now except just so tired! I have lots to get done at work today though so I will be drinking all the coffee.
CS/Q: nope
GTKY: Fondest childhood memory?
I have lots! My mom worked when I was little so my grandpa watched me during the day since he was retired. He always used to bring me to Wendy's to share a frosty my parents also loved to travel and I have 4 sisters so we would all pack into a mini van and road trip all over the US. I don't know how my parents had the patience. They did hookup our small kitchen TV and a VCR so we could watch movies. I have so many great memories from those trips and got to see a lot of the country.

@josie12367 sorry you didn't have a great day yesterday. I hope you can get into the swing of things quickly. Will you be celebrating an American Thanksgiving in the UK? @SkilledSailor being busy as a business owner is a good problem to have! Enjoy your coffee! Not sure if its your thing, but I had the new maple pecan latte from Starbucks the other day and it was really good. Not too sweet like it would sound. @JennyColada 22k steps! That's crazy! GTKY: Fondest childhood memory? I have a lot of great memories from family vacations or holidays. We went to Florida once when I was a kid and apparently I loved all the Hibiscus flowers but thought it was hi biscuit. So I was walking around waving to the flowers saying "hi biscuit." They are now my favorite flowers and I have a tattoo of one on my back.

Rant/Rave: It's a lovely day here, I'm prepped for my classes, and the kitties are peacefully sleeping on the bed. Acupuncture yesterday was lovely, and I'm so grateful for those sessions. It really helps keep me sane through all of this. I'm going to avoid ranting for now.
CS/Q: For folks who have mid-luteal phase spotting, what does that usually look like for you? I've never had it before, but last night and this morning I had a little bit (so light it was just a pink tinge on the tissue, but still there). Chart in spoiler.
GTKY: Fondest childhood memory? I grew up in a town with an amusement park that didn't charge for park admission, just a per ride cost. Sometimes when my dad would pick me up from a friend's house or school we'd go and he'd buy enough tickets for us to ride the rollercoaster once (a big wooden coaster from the 1920s). Very fond memories.
@josie12367 sorry you had a bad day yesterday - hope today is better! @SkilledSailor fx for Friday/Saturday

Rant/Rave: meh - it's hump day!
CS/Q: Has anybody had experience with over the counter cold medication and temp drops?? I took some Otrivin (a nasal decongestant spray) last night and woke up to this crazy temp drop. I thought I saw this somewhere, but I just did a quick search and now I can't find any information..
GTKY: Fondest childhood memory? Too many!! Probably the best/highest volume of fond memories come from farting around in ballet class! Another is that my best friend and I used to climb trees together all summer.. we would sit in two side-by-side trees and 'spy' on the neighbourhood...and rig up pully (sp?) systems between the trees so that we could send stuff to each other. We'd always come home with dirt and sap all over us, but would have had so much fun.
Lurking.... but you know spotting is like the bat signal for me.
@darkstar42 my mid luteal spotting was typically light brown creamy stuff. And sort of a lot. Like, a lot at one time. (Sorry if TMI lol.) I don't want to feed any crazy but yours sounds more promising than my spotting ever was. And yours would've been just 9dpo right? Mine was always like 6dpo-14dpo lol, like the whole time. FX for you!! I'm stalking all of you like crazy.
Rant/Rave: The wife's family (and my mom) leave tomorrow, but DW and I have 5 more days at the beach!!
CS/Q: Nope
GTKY: Fondest childhood memory? There are so many! But, my Grandma passed away in January (my grandpa has been gone 6 years) and I miss them so much. I was so close to them. So the memory I have been holding on to lately is going with them to Texas the first year my grandpa was retired (I was probably 10). It was my first time on a plane alone and it was one of the only times I was on a vacation with just the 3 of us.

@darkstar42 I have spotting throughout my LP, it can vary but most of the time mine is either creamy brown or red-ish. Like @doxiemoxie212 mine is usually quite a bit and multiple days. Actually every month I question day 1 for like a week before I get actual flow. FX it's good news for you if it's not your normal!
How long have you been doing acupuncture again? Because if you and doxie end up KU I better make an appointment....

@jennycolada Wow that was a busy day! Are you liking your new job?
@mrsmiller8588 Aw your GTKY answers are so sweet! I think it's extra special when grandparents are the "babysitters". I'll drink lots of coffee with you today!
@josie12367 I live (and have since 4yrs) in NC. My grandparents sold their Philly house probably a few years after the huge leaf piles memory. I love NE falls from my trips up north though. It's nice and cool in the mornings here but it'll be 82 by the afternoon. We get multiple seasons in a day.
@krashke I'll definitely try the new latte! I'm honestly getting a little tired of their PSLs. They're so heavy. What kind of restaurant are you trying tonight? Happy anniversary!
@darkstar42 Haha yup, no real falls here either. Our leaf piles are more like "pine needle and stick" piles. Not as fun. And awww your GTKY you answer sounds like it's straight out of a movie. SO sweet.
@canucklehead123 Maybe you slept better and that caused the dip? Is it your first month temping? I get a dip around 4-6 dpo every time. Is that a pattern you've seen in yours?
@MrsMiller8588 This is my second cycle doing acupuncture! Even if it doesn't help me get ku, it makes the stress of ttc so much more bearable. I highly recommend it! @SkilledSailor If you learn any good fertility spells, I'm in! Also, I live in MN now, so we do get real falls! But somehow having to rake up the leaves isn't nearly as fun as getting to jump in them.
Rant/Rave: Rant: Had a little bit of spotting this morning, so I don't know if this is pre-AF or not. These last few months AF has been 3 days earlier and here we are 3 days until she's 'supposed' to be here. Rave: It's HUMP DAY! Wooot!
CS/Q: Not a whole lot to show, small temp drop this morning by .2 degrees
GTKY: Watching The Land Before Time like a million times and breaking the VHS tape, then having to call my mom at work because it broke! haha.
@JennyColada wow - that sounds very busy!!!! Put your feet up and treat yo-self!! @darkstar42 , like @doxiemoxie212 I don't want to feed any crazy but my FX are crossed so hard for you with that spotting!! @ajsanders-2 I watched Land Before Time on repeat as well!!!!! #'s 1 and 2...so good!!! Then I started to lose interest when they started making more. I recently watched Land Before Time 1 again...it is a friggen sad movie!!! @skilledsailor no it's not my first month temping and I have never had a dip like this... that's why I was thinking it's the medication. But you might be right, perhaps I just got a better sleep? I took the meds last night because DH and I had a tiny spat (my TWW crazy-hormones reared their ugly heads and I snapped at him first, and then couldn't stop crying all night...*eyeroll at self*) so my nose was plugged. But now I actually think I'm coming down with a cold...wonder if that could make your temp dip? I've heard a cold can make it increase, maybe it goes both ways. LOL or I should just stop reading so much into it and wait until tomorrow.
@SkilledSailor and @darkstar42 there is someone in a BMB that was in TTGP (I think I have seen her do a grad check in) who's sister did a spell for her and then she got KU. This reminds me that I have a friend from HS that is a witch...hmmm

@krashke Yup, that’s who I was referencing. *Disclaimer to the lurkers: She did IVF so it seems much more likely that that was the reason she got KU that cycle. * But it clearly didn’t hurt, haha
@krashke and @SkilledSailor She did IUI But yes her sister did a spell for her and know she is KU with twins!
@darkstar42 I have been thinking about acupuncture, but I'm honestly nervous about it. Especially because of where I live theres only 2 options and I don't know how reputable they are. Is it regulated? Do they need some sort of license to practice?

@josie12367 sorry about your day, but I love your "it's a new day attitude". Keep at it!
@JennyColada share some of those mom recipes! My hubs is seriously tired of my lame grilled chicken breast dinners haha
@MrsMiller8588 My GPa used to do the SAME THING! Sometimes he picked be up after soccer practice when my mom was working late and get me a Frosty on the way home. It was our secret since my mom would have lost if if she knew I hate ice cream before dinner haha
@darkstar42 I don't care what anyone says, wooden roller coasters are WAY better/scarier than the new, huge metal ones.
@luckypandas What beach? I hope the weather is beautiful for you!

R/R: Ugggh this day is so loooong. Started at 6am at the gym and ends (hopefully) at 8pm post client dinner. Need so much coffee but trying to cut back on caffeine! But on a good note it's finally cooling off a little in swampy DC which means my bike ride to work doesn't leave me looking like a hot mess once I get to the office.
CD/Q: Just started temping so not much to share yet
GTKY: Fondest childhood memory? Playing soccer on early fall evenings, especially when we got to play in the big stadium. I felt like I could run forever and I never wanted to get off the field. Remember when "exercise" was fun???
@wifehacks yah wtf!! Do you have an Acer? @ChloandCoco Ah dang! Hope you and the car were okay! I was fine, DH slid into the ditch, got stuck, and had to get towed out the next day because they closed the road!! He is fine, car is fine...so all good but getting snow tires on both cars immediately!!!
@ChloandCoco Oh, yes - Christmas morning was the best. My little brother and I used to sneak down in the middle of the night and unwrap our presents in our stocking, then attempt to re-wrap them so mom and dad wouldn't know. I have a feeling we weren't nearly as clever as we thought we were.
@ajsanders-2 Land Before Time was the best! I walked into a Starbucks a couple of days ago and the barristas were talking about Little Foot and Pietree (sp??) and Sarah - so many memories!
@luckypandas Have a great time at the beach! What beach are you vacationing at?
@canucklehead123 I used to love dance class, but always really sucked at the ballet portion. However, as an adult my turnout is excellent, while my balance - not so much.
@darkstar42 I just started talking with an acupuncturist who was rec'd to me.
@MrsMiller8588 Glad you're feeling better. My fam also hooked up the little TV/VCR in the back of the full size van for our road trips. Made the time to Florida go by so much faster!
@SkilledSailor Your description of lounging in the leaf piles gave me an immediate scent memory. That smell of damp, sort of decaying leaves is just so distinct.
@josie12367 I'm glad today is going better for you. Sorry the last few have been rough.

CS/Q:
GTKY: Fondest childhood memory? My family and my god parents' family would leave at 4:00 AM the day after Thanksgiving for our annual trip to Chicago. We'd take the Amtrak up (about 4 hours) and we kids would "spy" on the passengers and take notes on them whilst our parents happily drank bloody marys and mimosas knowing we were safely trapped in the train. One year, the conductor asked if we'd like to welcome Santa on board (he got on every year in Napersville to greet the kids). We were like heck yeah and got to sing "Here Comes Santa Claus" over the PA system to the whole train. As adults we all learned that our parents were not only shocked (their exact words were: "Are those OUR kids???), but seriously concerned that we'd just hijacked the microphone and we were going to get kicked off. Lol! A++ parenting!
@krashke Ugh, sorry! I know the feeling (I'm a Cards fan). Husband was at the game with a friend and I watched from home. The first few innings were insane! I'm officially going as Aaron Judge Judy for Halloween. We'll see how that turns out.

Rant/Rave: It's my anniversary! DH and I don't really have plans though. There is a restaurant we really want to try but we can't get a reservation so were going to just go and hope there's not much of a wait.
CS/Q:
GTKY: Fondest childhood memory? I have a lot of great memories from family vacations or holidays. We went to Florida once when I was a kid and apparently I loved all the Hibiscus flowers but thought it was hi biscuit. So I was walking around waving to the flowers saying "hi biscuit." They are now my favorite flowers and I have a tattoo of one on my back.

@SkilledSailor I always loved the idea of playing in leaf piles when I was a kid, but alas I lived somewhere without a true fall.
@JennyColada That's so cool that your mom won recipe competitions! What kind of foods did she like to cook?
@MrsMiller8588 Sorry you were under the weather! Hopefully things keep improving and you get your energy back!
@krashke Happy anniversary! Hope you and YH have a great time celebrating.

Month/Cycle: 8/7
CD/DPO: 23/10
Timing: all but -2
Testing: BFN this morning. I'll probably test every day til AF arrives, because I can't resist.
Typical LP length: 13 days
@SkilledSailor fx for Friday/Saturday
grr my laptop is being so dumb - I press a key and it jumps to the top of the page... I will be back for more tags on my work computer in an hour or so!
Month/Cycle: 3/2
CD/DPO: 27/5
Timing: all but -2
Testing: well was going to be 14 DPO but just realized it will be Friday the 13th!! So... we'll see lol.
Typical LP length: 11-15 days
CD/DPO: 20/7dpiui
Timing: As good as it was going to get
Testing: Saturday! Beta in a week
Typical LP length: 13
Rant/Rave: The wife's family (and my mom) leave tomorrow, but DW and I have 5 more days at the beach!!
CS/Q: Nope
GTKY: Fondest childhood memory? There are so many! But, my Grandma passed away in January (my grandpa has been gone 6 years) and I miss them so much. I was so close to them. So the memory I have been holding on to lately is going with them to Texas the first year my grandpa was retired (I was probably 10). It was my first time on a plane alone and it was one of the only times I was on a vacation with just the 3 of us.

@doxiemoxie212 Hi! I was thinking the same thing for @darkstar42 ! FX it's a good sign.
@luckypandas That'll be nice to have some extra time for just you and DW! Are y'all having fun?

GTKY: Watching The Land Before Time like a million times and breaking the VHS tape, then having to call my mom at work because it broke! haha.
DD: 07/19/18
EDD: 06/22/22

@SkilledSailor Love playing in the leaves! Always a fun memory.
@JennyColada Wow that is a lot of steps in one day! I think you deserved the Golden Corral!
@MrsMiller8588 I am glad you are feeling better today. I also have a lot of fond road trip memories with my family. Ours were always revolved around dad surfing though.
@krashke Sorry about the BFN. Happy anniversary! Hope you have an awesome time tonight and get into that restaurant with no issues. Your memory cracked me up, Too sweet.
@darkstar42 Glad you are having a great start to your day! Kitty loving is the best.
@canucklehead123 Haha my sister was born on Friday 13th. There have been times in our relationship that it has been very relevant.
@luckypandas Enjoy those extra days in the sunshine! Very jealous.
@SkilledSailor Hopefully you can take it easy tonight and rest up if you are so busy.
@JennyColada Nice job walking all those steps yesterday!
@MrsMiller8588 I'm sorry you are sick and I hope you are back to normal in no time!
@krashke Happy anniversary to you two!
@darkstar42 FX it's just too early.
@canucklehead123 DH and I had our first date on a Friday the 13th, so I think those days are super lucky.
@luckypandas I hope you enjoy the rest of your time at the beach!

@darkstar42 I have been thinking about acupuncture, but I'm honestly nervous about it. Especially because of where I live theres only 2 options and I don't know how reputable they are. Is it regulated? Do they need some sort of license to practice?

@JennyColada share some of those mom recipes! My hubs is seriously tired of my lame grilled chicken breast dinners haha
@MrsMiller8588 My GPa used to do the SAME THING! Sometimes he picked be up after soccer practice when my mom was working late and get me a Frosty on the way home. It was our secret since my mom would have lost if if she knew I hate ice cream before dinner haha
@krashke happy anni!
@darkstar42 I don't care what anyone says, wooden roller coasters are WAY better/scarier than the new, huge metal ones.
@luckypandas What beach? I hope the weather is beautiful for you!
@ajsanders-2 Also one of my all-time faves. Ducky was the cutest!
@canucklehead123 YES! Whenever I hit backspace thew whole screen moves up. SO. ANNOYING.
ok, gettin to it...

Month/Cycle: 3/2

Timing: -4, -3, -1
Testing: Tested yesterday against my better judgement. Meant to test this morning but forgot. I think tomorrow will be the last day I test before I consider it a final BFN and just wait for AF
@ChloandCoco Ah dang! Hope you and the car were okay! I was fine, DH slid into the ditch, got stuck, and had to get towed out the next day because they closed the road!! He is fine, car is fine...so all good but getting snow tires on both cars immediately!!!
@krashke Happy anniversary!!
@MrsMiller8588 Glad you're feeling better. My fam also hooked up the little TV/VCR in the back of the full size van for our road trips. Made the time to Florida go by so much faster!
@JennyColada Congrats on your store opening!
@SkilledSailor Your description of lounging in the leaf piles gave me an immediate scent memory. That smell of damp, sort of decaying leaves is just so distinct.
@josie12367 I'm glad today is going better for you. Sorry the last few have been rough.

Typical LP length: 15
Rant/Rave: Rant: Not much to rant about today, but it is still young.... Rave: Yankees won last night, so husband is very happy. My team is out, so I'm just supporting him.
