I award twatwaffle status today to the lady who is supposed to be calling me to give me the results of our genetic test. Why this office only has one person and one person only to hand out results, I can't fathom. And why this person can't tell people when she will come into work, I really don't understand.
My OB office. I have been staring at my phone for over two hours willing it to ring. I called earlier to ask if my NIPT results were in, the receptionist put me on hold to check. She comes back to tell me she will put in a message for my nurse to call me back. So this, to me, makes me think they are in (otherwise wouldn't the receptionist just day they are not in?), so how long have they been in?? And the longer I sit here (not working) I worry that there's something wrong and that's why she's waiting to call so she has ample time to talk to me. Why do they do this to irrational, hormonal, pregnant women?

eta 2.0: I think The Bump Gods are real. Within a minute of posting this the nurse called. Results came back normal and it's another BOY!!!
My three year old DD. When I picked her up from preschool today, she literally spat at me and on the way home, threw everything she could detach from herself at me in the car (00hair bow and both shoes). Wtf?!? I haven't even seen you since 9:00 this morning and her teacher said she had a great day at school.

@ngolimento so glad you got your results! Congrats on your healthy baby girl
@sapphires-and-diamonds if it makes you feel any better my OB's office almost always just gives nurses messages to call patients... no matter why you called. It's weird, but it's like the receptionist doesn't want to handle any info.
AFM, Total first world problems (FWPs), but for a while my BIL had his mattress at our house, and we had been using it in one of our guest rooms. He recently moved and decided he wanted it back. No big deal. But, when he and a friend came to get it, my DH also let him take all of the bedding that I had on it. When I asked DH about it, he said "well it (the bedding) was for that bed, wasn't it?" ..... um, sure. The fitted sheet wouldn't have fit any of our other beds, but I definitely had plans for the pillows, comforter, shams, and bed skirt.
