Month/Cycle: 3/3 CD/DPO: 18/4 Timing: -5, -1, +1 Testing: ~13 DPO Typical LP length: ~14 days Rant/Rave: Came across an unexpected pregnancy announcement yesterday on FB and it really hit me hard. I'm now one of two people left in my circle of friends from high school who isn't KU or already had a bio-LO. And the other friend doesn't want kids. On the up-side: my brother comes to visit in three weeks, I'm going to have a fun weekend at the wedding, it's supposed to be in the 70s this week, my coffee is delish. CS/Q: Temp dropped to just below CL. It's only 4 DPO, but I'm not feeling good about this cycle already. GTKY: In light of the violence racking our world; what is one good thing that has happened to you recently? I had some awesome patients at work yesterday, who were so happy just to be washed up and have someone willing to visit with them for more than a med pass or vital signs. It brings to light a whole different set of problems that I don't even want to think about, but, it helps remind me why I got in to healthcare in the first place.
Testing: Every day with cheapies, today used FRER too and all BFNs. Strips and window was whiter than white. More FRERs the next days and beta on Friday.
Typical LP length: 14-16 (though on progesterone this time so will be artificially longer)
Rant/Rave: Rave - public holiday today so relaxing at home with DH watching movies as it's raining. Watching the squirrels and the birds coming to get nuts from my feeding station in the breaks in the showers. Oh and DH brought me pancakes in bed for breakfast.
CS/Q: Chart still looks quite pretty, but I guess if you can't get a pretty chart on al the right drugs then that's a whole different problem!
GTKY: In light of the violence racking our world; what is one good thing that has happened to you recently? My DH has been just so awesome through our first IVF cycle. I'm so lucky to have him beside me on this journey, and the friends, family and home we share.
@izza2 That's really hard with that situation with your friends. I have the opposite situation - we had a core group of 12 friends at school and three of them were married in their early 20s and started families straight away. Of the rest 4 of us are married/in LTRs but met partners only mid 30s and nobody announced anything so far- but realistically as we are all 38/39 I'm expecting some soon if it will happen. And the other 5 are not in LTRs. 10/12 have done well in their careers, but I do wonder if that's been at the expense of relationships and families...

GTKY: Well we have our home visit for the rescue in a few days. I'm really excited about that one! My business is growing! With it doing so well we have some dreams that use to seem far fetched becoming a possible reality.
@izza2 How is your back doing today? I feel ya on the pregnancy announcements. Those can be hard to unexpectedly come across.
@emmasemm Sorry for the BFNs. FX your BW show's a different story on Friday! It sounds like you're having a lovely day otherwise.
@SkilledSailor - You probably mentioned this before and I have the memory of a bug; what is your business? That's awesome that it's doing so well!! And keeping my FX for your home visit!! ETA: Oops; my back still hurts. I'm sure it'll take some time to go away. I'm gonna take it a little easier at the gym than I normally would when it comes to the weights for the time being.
Rant/Rave: Spotting has come in full force. Just waiting for actual AF to start.. I know our chances of getting KU on our own is slim, but it's still hard every month. DHs consult with the urologist is this month so I'm excited to move forward. Also super stressed out lately at the thought of IVF and our finances. Just feeling pretty down lately...
CS/Q:
GTKY: In light of the violence racking our world; what is one good thing that has happened to you recently?
The best thing I can think of right now is not for me, but for a friend of mine.
TW - adoption and babies One of my good friends from high school and his wife have been dealing with IF and decided to go the adoption route. It's been a heart breaking experience but they finally got their baby!! We had a shower for her this weekend and it was great to see her so happy!!

@izza2 - those unexpected ones are the worst. I have had a couple recently too. Yay weddings! I have to be in a wedding in 13 days! So very exciting!! @emmasemm - Pancakes in bed! Rant/Rave: I must not have slept enough last night, I can't think of any rant or rave! But I'll take that as a good thing. A good neutral feeling today.
GTKY: My husband is amazing, he surprised me with Packers/Bears tickets last Thursday for our 4 year anniversary. I am very blessed to have him in my life. He's my beacon on light through all the darkness.
@izza2 No worries! There are a lot of ladies to keep up with on here. I have a home staging business, we specialize in vacant staging.
@MrsMiller8588 Aw your friend's story is both heartbreaking and heartwarming. It also says a lot about your character that you feel her happiness so well during your personal struggle. *hugs*
@izza2 I'm right there with you on the fb announcements. I don't think there is anyone left in my friend group who isn't pregnant or already has a LO. Now some are starting on second and third pregnancies. I've pretty much stopped using fb because of it. *big hugs* @emmasemm Sorry about the BFNs so far! Here's hoping it's still way too early. Your beta is on Friday, right? I've got my fx for you! @SkilledSailor So glad your business keeps growing! Is it seasonal at all? I know the housing market slows down in winter where I am. @MrsMiller8588 *Big hugs* Sorry that you're feeling so down. This process can really get to you. Be kind to yourself. Rant/Rave: rave - acupuncture this morning! MH and I went to a really neat bookstore last night for a book signing by an author we love. Got a chance to chat with her a bit, and she was super nice. I also found a book I'm hoping I can use for a class I'm teaching in the spring, so that was exciting! Plus we got tasty Mexican food for dinner afterwards. rant - I'm going to try not to rant today!
CS/Q: I emailed my ob/gyn to see what she thought about canceling our appointment and u/s and just waiting for the RE, and she agreed it made more sense to wait for the RE. So I need to officially cancel those appointments and get my paperwork in order for the RE on 10/17. For some reason this morning I started feeling like I'm out for this cycle. Maybe I'm just tired and grumpy. Chart in spoiler.
GTKY: In light of the violence racking our world; what is one good thing that has happened to you recently? Something good has been that this semester I've had some really nice conversations with students from my classes last year. Lots of comments on how much they enjoyed the classes, and one student is holding off on taking one of her required classes until I teach it next fall. Teaching is can be exhausting, but the positive feedback helps so much.
@izza2 Ugh, it stinks when those pregnancy announcements come out of nowhere. FB is like a minefield that way. @emmasemm Thinking good thoughts for your beta! @MrsMiller8588 Creepy internet stranger hugs to you. @ajsanders-2 So, are you on the Packers or the Bears side of that rivalry? We live in a house divided over here! (I'm the Packers half!)

GTKY: In light of the violence racking our world; what is one good thing that has happened to you recently?
TW--kids/babies We took our 8.5 month old downtown for the first time this weekend--rode the train, saw all the touristy sites, etc. He was obsessed with Buckingham Fountain, as expected, and the whole day was just so, so fun. My husband's work schedule is crazy and we don't get a lot of time together as a family, so I always try to appreciate it when it happens.

Rant/Rave: All the rants today...FF moved my CH back a day, my DH's car won't start and it is our "good" car, got into an argument on the phone with DH because he was exhausted and couldn't understand what I was talking about when I said his car was going nuts (car alarm going off randomly/loud beeping from the dash)...Ugh. I won't even go into the poop issues in the house at the moment (not me thank goodness).
CS/Q: stupid chart, and super high cover line...I'm not sure I agree with FF moving it. What do y'all think?
GTKY: In light of the violence racking our world; what is one good thing that has happened to you recently?
I ovulated before DH left That's the best I've got today
@izza2 ((hugs)) FB sucks and hang in there! Looks like you have good timing so I wouldn't get discouraged. @emmasemm sorry about the BFN FX for your beta on Friday! Enjoy the holiday! @SkilledSailor I hope your home visit goes well. I freak out when people come into my house about it looking perfect so I would be a mess if we were also being judged. @MrsMiller8588 sorry about the spotting. It's great to hear that your friend finally got to see the end of the long adoption journey. @ajsanders-2 and @MoonOverGoldsboro GO PACK GO! That was a painful game to watch on many levels with the weather delay and Adams' injury. Also it would have sucked to be squished into the halls during the weather delay. @darkstar42 my fingers are crossed so hard for you! GL with the testing!
Month/Cycle: 2/2

Rant/Rave: sorry I'm rant-y today...back at work after vacation in Nashville, its raining, it was raining all night so our sump pump was running all night, it is right under our bedroom and SO LOUD! I shattered my phone screen in Nashville and you would think like wow she must have been at some crazy party or something, nope. I set it on the pedestal sink next to me while I was peeing and it slipped off. Hopefully it wont cost an arm and a leg to get replaced. To top it off, my friend that I told that we were TTC has just been randomly sending me articles with no explanation or insight. Like I get that you're trying to be helpful but it is just condescending. I have probably researched and learned way more that she has because if she just thinks about getting pg boom shes KU. Just because you've had two kids it does not make you an expert. Thank you for letting me rant. Hopefully tomorrow I will come back with some raves.
CS/Q: my temps are shit
GTKY: In light of the violence racking our world; what is one good thing that has happened to you recently? Everything I can think of just seems so trivial compared to what has happened. But I guess its the little things that add up to a better understanding of the people around you.

@krashke - We completely missed the hit to Adam's, we were helping diffuse a fight that was going on around us. Yes it got very uncomfortable and warm in the concourse.
@krashke Oh (other than phone incident), how was Nashville? Any restaurant or bar recs?
Also, sorry to hear about your phone screen - I was able to get mine fixed at the Apple store. A little pricey, but felt like I knew they were doing it correctly.
Really sorry about your friend's reaction to TTC. It is frustrating when someone thinks they're helping and what it really ends up doing is causing you unwanted/unneeded annoyance. (((creepy internet stranger hugs to you)))
@josie12367 I'm so sorry, but I LOL'd at your poop issues comment. Glad it is not you, but weirdly intrigued to know more.
@MoonOverGoldsboro and @ajsanders-2 Yes, go Packers! Grew up in Missouri after the (football) Cardinals had moved to Arizona and pre-Rams move to STL, so grew up loving them.
@darkstar42 What do you teach (you've presumably answered this before - so I'm sorry...). I've been thinking a lot about going back to get my masters in education. I realized recently that teaching/educating is something I've naturally been doing my whole life and enjoying it - I just didn't take the correct route in school and ended up in marketing world...womp.
@MrsMiller8588 Sending you good vibes and hope you get helpful info at your husband's consult.
@SkilledSailor GL with your home visit. Please share pics if you end up with a new puppy!!
@emmasemm Wishing today was a day off here, as well. A++ to your husband for breakfast in bed!
@izza2 So sorry about Facebook. I've started avoiding that place like crazy.
Rant/Rave: Rant: Work is maddening right now. We have two events coming up next week plus a major proposal just came in and everyone's project is THE MOST IMPORTANT! Rave: Junior League is ramping back up. It is work on top of work, but I love my committee and teaching all the new volunteers about our organization.
CS/Q: Dumb question - will we have a chart stalk thread this week? As a new board member, I don't want to overstep and start a new thread when someone else normally does it. I just have some questions bc my chart is painfully erratic.
GTKY: In light of the violence racking our world; what is one good thing that has happened to you recently? I'm really progressing in my weight lifting. I was asked to join a special group where I work out, so we can all build on a particular lift/skill over a six week period. Very fun/challenging.
@LaceyBee522 Nashville was fanastic! We had great food at Acme Feed & Seed downtown, Whiskey Kitchen in the Gulch and Pharmacy for burgers in East Nashville. I will look into the Apple store too! Thanks!
I don't know what it is about TTC, pregnancy or raising kids that makes people think that they can just share whatever opinion they want.
Also, no one in particular starts the Chart Stalk thread. Go for it! You can copy the post from the last one and then add your question to the comments.

Morning all - where does the time go?? I've been at work for over an hour already and feel like I've just blinked! @izza2 so sorry for the unexpected fb announcement. Those are so hard, it's like "AHHH MY EYES"... especially from somebody close. Take care of yourself today!! And enjoy your visit with family! @emmasemm yas to pancakes in bed and a day off work!!! @darkstar42 your chart is preeettyyy!! @josie12367 maybe it moved because the six temps prior to O are open circles?? Also because you had a positive OPK on CD23, generally O happens 12-36 hours after the positive OPK so maybe that's what FF is thinking as well? But really hard to say because you do have a change in CM that would suggest O happened on CD23 as well. Sorry can't be more help, in any case, your timing is good! Also sorry about your doggies and the poop situation!!! @krashke sorry about your friend - that is tough!! Hopefully she loses interest in sending you stuff soon - then you won't have to tell her off. And how was your vacay!!?? @LaceyBee522 what do you do for work?

We get to move in Oct. 26 so I am just over the moon excited!! We also just bought a new sofa for the new living room, and it is gorgeous (and it was on sale)!
@krashke Thanks for all the info! With all the 40th birthdays coming up in my friend group, I'm always on the lookout for a new destination party. We usually do San Juan every February, but it looks like it is out this year. (note: not complaining that my annual vacation isn't happening bc of a horrible tragedy, just saying we'll need a new place to go.) Also, thanks for the info re chart stalk.
@canucklehead123 I do marketing and business development for a national law firm. I've been doing it for 11 years - yikes!
Also why are there so many Packers fans on here? Go Vikes!
@darkstar42 I'm glad you and your ob/gyn are on the same page. Hopefully you get to also cancel your RE appointment
@krashke Sorry about your phone and your friend. Try to remember that she is probably just excited. Also it seems crazy but I bet most people TTC aren't as researched as those of us on TB

@josie12367 Sorry ff is being crazy! Regardless, you had

@krashke Thanks! Hopefully the worst of the rain is over for
a bit! We don’t have a sump pump, but the loud thunder kept scaring the cats.
Sorry that your friends response to the ttc news has been so annoying. I’ve
been wary of telling some friends because I’m afraid that’s how they’d act. So
frustrating.
@LaceyBee522 Great job on the weight lifting success! That’s

middle school and high school.
@canucklehead123 Yay for a Palm Springs trip and your new

@MrsMiller8588 I hope so too! I’ve been dragging my feet on

@krashke Fingers crossed for your test tomorrow. Nothing like a BFP to keep the hubs in line during that bachelor party Did you make it to Station Inn or Bluebird Cafe in Nashville? This are my fave?
@izza2 hugshugshugs to you. FB can be so hard when you are trying. You want to be happy for everyone but it can be really hard to not feel a twinge of resent. But I hope you don't beat yourself up over it. WE HAVE ALL FELT IT. You are a good human
@MrsMiller8588 Good luck to you on the next phase of your journey! Happy for you that you have this opportunity and sending all the good vibes for it to go well.
@canucklehead123 where are you staying in Palm Springs? I am going for the first time in Feb and am so excited! Would love any tips on what to do if you come back with some good ideas
@wifehacks While I appreciate how frustrating the TWW is, this is not the appropriate thread in which to speculate about a BFP vs. evap line. There is a thread in the first trimester board dedicated to deciphering lines on hpts. I know we all share a lot with each other here, and it's understandable to want to share when issues like this come up for you. However, for those who are having a difficult ttc day and/or have been trying for many months, seeing a post like this can be upsetting.
Thanks for the feedback @darkstar42 and @canucklehead123 . For clarity, I was certainly not speculating
or asking for anyone to weigh in. As far as I am concerned, I got a BFN today
and was venting about the quality (and lack of clarity) from the product that
told me that.
That said, I’ll edit my post and avoid this topic in the future so at not to upset anyone . Thanks.
@wifehacks We didn't look into Station Inn. We tried to get tickets to the Bluebird but couldn't. My friend that I went with apparently had her boss and coworker pull up browsers too so she had more of a chance to get in.
ETA: I didn't see what you wrote before you edited it, but I appreciate the way you handled it. I think too many times people get defensive and freak out.

@MoonOverGoldsboro we are in Lincoln Square. We lived in Lincoln Park for about 8 years, but loft apartments don't work with children! We've been to Oak Park once--I remember a boutique that had niceness kitchen stuff
@darkstar42 It was definitely seasonal last year. We've put a halt on purchasing new furniture until next spring just in case a slump hits but we keep turning customers away because of it so who knows. How was acupuncture? It sounds like a fabulous way to start the day.
@josie12367 Sorry your day started off so rough. Did it get any better? I'm no help with the cover line issue. Maybe chart stalk thread?
@krashke Haha you perfectly described my emotions around this home visit. I have a chore plan, don't worry! Sorry your friend keeps sending unwanted articles. *hugs* That can be so frustrating.
@LaceyBee522 Sorry work has been so crazy. Doing anything to treat yourself.
@canucklehead123 Congratulations on the new house! That's so exciting! And a trip to Palm Springs! Lots of good things happening for you.
@wifehacks Yup, the TWW is a bitch. I think most of the women recommend FRERs. I use wondfos for my POAS addiction and have FRERs on hand to confirm a wondfo positive.

GTKY: In light of the violence racking our world; what is one good thing that has happened to you recently?
The best thing I can think of right now is not for me, but for a friend of mine.
TW - adoption and babies
One of my good friends from high school and his wife have been dealing with IF and decided to go the adoption route. It's been a heart breaking experience but they finally got their baby!! We had a shower for her this weekend and it was great to see her so happy!!

@MrsMiller8588 Aw your friend's story is both heartbreaking and heartwarming. It also says a lot about your character that you feel her happiness so well during your personal struggle. *hugs*
@emmasemm Sorry about the BFNs so far!
Do you have any self-care treats coming up?

TW--kids/babies
We took our 8.5 month old downtown for the first time this weekend--rode the train, saw all the touristy sites, etc.

I ovulated before DH left
@emmasemm sorry about the BFN

I don't know what it is about TTC, pregnancy or raising kids that makes people think that they can just share whatever opinion they want.
Also, no one in particular starts the Chart Stalk thread. Go for it! You can copy the post from the last one and then add your question to the comments.

@izza2 so sorry for the unexpected fb announcement. Those are so hard, it's like "AHHH MY EYES"... especially from somebody close. Take care of yourself today!! And enjoy your visit with family!
@emmasemm yas to pancakes in bed and a day off work!!!
@darkstar42 your chart is preeettyyy!!

GTKY: In light of the violence racking our world; what is one good thing that has happened to you recently?
Well, it is our possession month for the new house!!

@josie12367 Sorry ff is being crazy! Regardless, you had fabulous timing.
@krashke Thanks! Hopefully the worst of the rain is over for a bit! We don’t have a sump pump, but the loud thunder kept scaring the cats. Sorry that your friends response to the ttc news has been so annoying. I’ve been wary of telling some friends because I’m afraid that’s how they’d act. So frustrating.
@LaceyBee522 Great job on the weight lifting success! That’s so awesome. I’m a psychology professor at a university, and my husband teaches middle school and high school.
@canucklehead123 Yay for a Palm Springs trip and your new house! So exciting!

@MrsMiller8588 Good luck to you on the next phase of your journey! Happy for you that you have this opportunity and sending all the good vibes for it to go well.

Thanks for the feedback @darkstar42 and @canucklehead123 . For clarity, I was certainly not speculating or asking for anyone to weigh in. As far as I am concerned, I got a BFN today and was venting about the quality (and lack of clarity) from the product that told me that.
That said, I’ll edit my post and avoid this topic in the future so at not to upset anyone . Thanks.
ETA: yes to what @krashke said! @wifehacks I wish everyone would respond as graciously and respectfully as you.
