^Normally the gif is my contribution to the week's thread; but I thought since so many of you are suffering annoying eye twitches I'd throw it out to y'all!
AFM I'm feeling pretty good right now: fighting a charlie horse developing in my calf and pregnancy hunger, but nothing too bad.
DS1: Nov. 2013 DS2: Jan. 2016 DS3: Dec. 2017 Baby #4 on the way!
Not sure if you consider this a symptom, but girl will not get her foot out of my cervix! Just had an ultrasound this morning and the tech pointed it out, as if it wasn't the most obvious thing to me. I have also just hit the sore hip stage.
@maueraa07 right there with you, only home girl has her head stuck in my pelvis and likes to punch my cervix frequently and with great force. Also have the sore hips because she WILL NOT move her head up. At least she’ll be in the right position when labor starts right? DS was the exact same way too.
Lots of new symptoms for me as well. Heartburn and (maybe?) reflux. Difficulty sleeping and lots of BH. I c/o to my provider at my last appointment about the amount of pain I am in so early. He just said well your body has more miles on it this time around, normal.
I haven't had anything to drink since last night. I've already peed twice this morning. WTF.
Also tiny Magikarp clearly hates having her space encroached upon, because she will punch me right in the bladder if it's even a little full.
I finally busted out my heating pad last night. We went to a wedding and between the heels and the bra of dubious fit, my back was agony when we got home. I forgot how great heating pads are.
Also to add, while sleeping I am not able to change sides easily, as my hip and back seem to be locked and frozen. It takes too much effort to just move in bed.
@KatieEl - omg, the charlie horses! I woke up today around 5:30 practically screaming from pain - both calf muscles had seized up and hurt like crazy. DH turned on the light expecting to see blood everywhere (from the way i was reacting) He massaged them for a bit and then made me get up to stretch them out - gotta love having a paramedic/first responder living in the house..they tend to keep more calm at times... Today my calves feel like i ran 1000 miles yesterday...ugh. I'm hoping bengay or icy-hot will help with the soreness!
Other than that, Zantac is pretty much keeping the heartburn at bay for the most part, yay! Overall uterine pain is no fun, especially with some RLP added in. I think I've noticed some BH, but not 100% sure lol.
And the baby kicks are now becoming fun (but still weird) to feel!
Add my baby to the cervix punching team, except I'm pretty sure it's Irish dance or something happening in there. He's so low, I can't figure out how he even fits down there anymore considering he's supposedly almost a foot long. Feels like he's going to fall out.
I had a moment of constipation a few days ago, which was scary, because it required me to really (ahem) engage some muscles, and *that* led to some Braxton Hicks.
Fortunately, prune juice did the trick, along with lots of water.
I feel so huge. It was unreal to find some pictures on my phone from when I was trying on clothes a few months before I got pregnant-- I look so skinny! And I wasn't skinny, size 12 or so, but way skinny compared to the whale that I am now (26 weeks with twins).
Me- 39 (turning 40 in April), TTC for the first time ever (since Jan 2015), low ovarian reserve
Married 3/14/14 to my wonderful wife, but her sperm count is rather low
TTC with frozen donor sperm and science
7 IUIs, 7 BFNs. 2 IVF attempts, both cancelled and converted to IUI, both BFNs. Decided that my tired old ovaries are ready to retire. Next step- reciprocal IVF, using my wife's eggs, my uterus! fresh 5 day transfer (2 embryos) 4/17/17- BFP! Identical twins "due" 1/2/17 (but anticipated arrival sometime December)
I'm having pretty constant uterine pain. I've been lucky to basically have zero back pain, but omg everything between my legs and belly button hurt so much!
Plus...forget the constipation, ive had constant diarhea for a week or 2!
@KatieEl a mom on DS's bmb had that and it was terrible! I'm sorry!
Constipation and hemis are the worst right now. My hips hurt pretty bad, but PT is helping so much. My acne is out of control and so annoying. Other than that, this pregnancy is easier than my previous 2.

@KatieEl OH no! I remember reading about PUPPS when I
thought I might have it… is it okay? I’m so so sorry! I hope you don’t get a “bad”
case of it.
I'm still randomly puking once every two or three days. It's miserable while it happens but passes relatively quickly. Other than that OMG my boobs sting. I'm trying to power through it by telling myself this is a sign that I'll produce SO much and pumping will be a BREEZE! (But I know that isn't true lol).
LO moves soooo much and sometimes it feels like she’s cutting circulation on something, when she moves sometimes I get lightheaded... anyone else experience that?? I went in for an echo today and she’s completely flipped 180° so I’m not sure if it’s the new position she’s in right now. I have to sleep kind of sitting up with pillows to feel comfortable. I feel like this level of uncomfortableness didn’t happen until like 34 wks with first DD!
So sorry, @KatieEl! I know PUPPS is NO joke! I'm still struggling with lower back pain. Just the right side. Any change for you, @missblaze? I have been trying to adjust the way I sleep, but I feel like I am the same. I have been putting a heating pad on my butt cheek every night, which totally helps the next day, but by nighttime every day, the pain comes back with a vengeance!
I've been having the pain too, @cyanope. Changing position was helping, but I was so uncomfortable last night! My chiropractor actually recommended icing it, and I haven't been doing that regularly. I need to.
@EmilyLove25 sorry to hear you're still getting sick that frequently. I'm only 1-2x a week, and that feels like more than enough. Pregnancy: so glamorous! The PUPPS isn't the worst case I've seen, but it's not real great, I just bought out Amazon on every home remedy so hopefully I can find something that will ease it a bit. Makes me so nervous having it so early!
DS1: Nov. 2013 DS2: Jan. 2016 DS3: Dec. 2017 Baby #4 on the way!
Okay I had to look up PUPPS. That sounds miserable, really. Now I’m wondering what else I might not know about! Yes @KatieEl pregnancy is so glamorous!
I had a day where I feel like my belly all the sudden grew up to my ribs and is pushing them out. So uncomfortable!
I promise I have introduced myself here and am an avid lurker. It's been a while since I've posted!!
Can I just say these frequent BH are seriously playing mind games with me? 25 weeks yesterday and it seems like it's a nightly occurrence that they come consistently for a few hours straight! This can be normal right?
I’ve been having cramping since the first trimester. Tonight I keep having sharp pains in my lower pelvic area. I keep seeing people talking about BH. I don’t think it’s what I’m experiencing but then again I’m a FTM. (This is all new to me). Also, when I sleep at night I tend to pull muscles in my stomach. I do it by doing some weird thing with my legs, kinda like stretching. I don’t know. All I know is, i hate being paranoid about hurting my little one and about these dang sharp pains.
@supercoolstephy yea... I keep being told that. I’m not sure. Sometimes I think I’m causing it by my weird sleeping stretches. One night, I did it so bad, I thought I gave myself a hernia. Who knows. I hate being the one who cry’s wolf. But each time I see my OB I tell them and that’s the same response they give me. I see my OB on the 11th. I guess I’ll just bring it up again.
@jcbh2018 I'm sorry girl. That just sounds crummy. Both pregnancies my RLP felt like an elastic band snapping and for a short moment. Hopefully they can give you some answers.
@supercoolstephy Thank you so much. I’m hoping they can. Maybe they can even prescribe me some bed straps to keep me from doing (whatever it is) that I do at night. Lol.
@jcbh2018 It definitely sounds like RLP to me! I have to be super careful standing up from sitting and I have to slowly roll out of bed to avoid RLP. This picture really helped me visualize how much our bodies stretch to make room for LO!
@jcbh2018 Just to echo above, definitely sounds like RLP. It can be pretty painful. BH are not painful, mostly just uncomfortable due to belly getting rock hard for about 30 seconds.
So I weighed myself today and looked to see the last weight I tracked at home and was pleasantly surprised. I mean. It’s been about 7 months but I’ve gained 25 pounds. Most wouldn’t be happy with that gain but I know that I was eating like shit before I got knocked up and I know what I weighed at my Ob apt at 6 weeks so at least half of that was before my 6 week appointment.
@KatieEl - so sorry about the PUPPS! has your doctor prescribed a steroid cream at all? DH's cousin who had twins over the summer got PUPPS, and she said the steroid cream was a god-send. Though, don't do what she did, and try not to use it often "because it's medicine"...she ended up waking up in the middle of the night crying in pain from the rash. Also, her twins were born at 34-35 weeks, but spent no NICU time, cause the steroids had actually helped their lungs develop earlier so they were fine! (I guess, how they give those steroid shots to ladies in preterm labor, the cream kind of does the same thing? :shrugs: )
@jcbh2018 - Round ligament pain sucks...well, any type of cramping sucks cause it's such a mindf&ck! A couple months ago i had a bleeding episode, with no cramping. I had a follow up the week later with my OB, but got them to move it up cause i was still spotting but my entire abdomen was HURTING. OB said it was RLP and i was fine, but I had thought RLP wasn't supposed to be that intense and painful - apparently it can. Hope the cramps disappear soon and you're more comfortable in general soon!
dcamp18 My OB told me if I have more than 4 in an hour to call, but that could just be because of my personal chart. If you are concerned, call your OB and they can tell you what their policy is.
@jcbh2018 The only other thought other than RLP is potentially a UTI. I was having really bad stabbing pains in the very beginning of my pregnancy (like 6-8 weeks), and when I called in, they thought it was RLP, but once I gave a urine sample, and they confirmed the UTI, they said that could have been the culprit. I'd never heard of stabbing pains being associated with UTIs, but apparently they can be. Presumably, your doctors do urine tests and would have told you if you had one, but it is just something to keep in mind for future reference.
@caseyw8784 Thank you. It truly is a mindf*~@&. I hope at one point in my pregnancy it will go away. Overall, I feel pretty lucky that this is the only annoying thing happening.
@lmmjd no, I know it’s not a UTI. I’ve had that in the past when I was young. Lemme tell ya, I’d deal with this RLP over that ANY DAY.
@KatieEl sorry to hear that. I've never had it or known anyone that did but I'm sure it can be miserable.
I've gotten to the point of feeling like Shamu when I try to turns sides while sleeping. I'm surprised I haven't woken DH up while groaning, and trying to flip.
Also getting leg cramps nightly while sleeping. Anyone find anything that helps with those?
