2. How are you feeling?
Overall I have been feeling much better but yesterday was really rough. I basically spent the entire day in bed! I felt really dizzy and lightheaded.
3. Any appointments coming up?
Thursday! I will be getting my blood work done and I think I get to hear the heartbeat but no u/s.
4. Rants, raves, questions?
Just getting excited to finally tell everyone. All of my close friends and family know but I am still holding out at work and I haven't made anything FB official. I'm going to wait until after I get my NIPT back just to be super sure.
5. GTKY: What is your favorite holiday and why? 4th of July and Halloween have always been my favorites. Growing up in Michigan you basically live/count down the days waiting for nice summer weather. I just love getting together with friends/family to hang out on the lake, BBQ, and enjoy the sun. Halloween is a close runner up because getting dressed up is just so much fun and I have so many great college memories of Halloween. I'm really excited to hand candy out to the kids this year!
ETA- Re posting this from yesterday but I bought this shirt to wear on Halloween and I think I may use it for my FB announcement.

pretty good still a little tired and I just seem to be super annoyed today especially with co-workers.

5. GTKY: What is your favorite holiday and why?
I love Halloween and Thanksgiving. Halloween is fun just to see the awesome costumes and the candy. Thanksgiving because it's such a great time to be thankful, the cool weather and eating lots of great food.

2. How are you feeling?
Not bad. Trying to get back into exercise but its so hard.

Not for another 3 weeks. Had one last week that went really well.

Just a rant about my boss. She is starting to get on my last nerve. She keeps asking how I'm feeling in a very high-pitched baby voice and its sounding soooo fake, like the only reason she is asking me is to see how this is going to affect my job.
5. GTKY: What is your favorite holiday and why?
It used to be Christmas. Growing up in a big family, I loved Christmas! Then we all grew up and its hard getting everyone together. Spending it with DH's family is so boring. No kids, just adults going through the motions. However, there have been a lot of babies born in the past 2 years on my side and one on DH side, so I am really looking forward to Christmas being fun again. Kids always seem to bring the magic out.

2. How are you feeling?
Pretty good! The intense fatigue seems to have passed, but my stomach is all kinds of crazy. Not nauseous, but just really sensitive to rich foods. I can basically only eat rice and chicken without fear of ridiculous stomach cramps.
3. Any appointments coming up?
Not until the 18th, I think.
4. Rants, raves, questions?
For some reason my OBs office charged our previous health insurance company (that we haven't had in 2 years) for some bloodwork, and I've been on the phone all morning trying to straighten it out. So frustrating.
5. GTKY: What is your favorite holiday and why?
Thanksgiving! Like @scuba_chic it used to be Christmas, it was so much fun growing up, but now it's kind of a shit show with all the adults and now so many babies and it's just a clusterfuck of presents and overtired kids. Thanksgiving is great -- so much more laid back, the food is amaze, no expectations with gifts, it's just fun!

I am still feeling SO tired. Not really too nauseous, which is nice. However, the food aversion is STILL REAL.

No real rants or raves, I found out my MIL told the the whole word about my MC last pregnancy, so I was pretty upset about that..but I'm over it now.

I'd say my favorite holiday is Christmas, even tho its so much work!

2. How are you feeling?
Saturday night I came down with a sore throat and head cold. I actually stayed home from work today (which I rarely do - especially for a cold).
Others than that, I actually feel good!

Not until October 10th.

Anyone else worry a little about feeling like a human again? I felt so rotten for so long, I now have random thoughts like am I going to MC because I don’t feel like crap? I know it’s irrational.
5. GTKY: What is your favorite holiday and why?
Halloween is fun, but we don’t get trick or treaters in the country. I’m looking forward to Thanksgiving, as I really love time with DH’s extended family.

For the most part, just tired. Though today my stomach is off. I don't know if it's pregnancy or if I'm becoming the final victim to the stomach virus in my house.

Was Christmas because I loved getting together with cousins but it doesn't really happen anymore. I guess I'd have to say Thanksgiving because the food is always great!

@Dumbgurl04 I hate pretty much all my coworkers today! The one in particular keeps talking about the new boat she got. And when someone new comes in, she repeats it all over and over again.

2. How are you feeling?
I start feeling better then I feel like I get hit with a truck. The exhaustion is the worst for me right now. Mild nausea, nothing awful though. Just major fatigue.
3. Any appointments coming up?
My next appointment is in two weeks.
4. Rants, raves, questions?
Ugh, my rant today is about DS. He's pushing boundaries and throwing some epic tantrums. To make it more difficult, he's 'mad at me' and only wants Dad to do anything. I know he's too young to mean anything by it but it feels so hurtful. I sat on the floor and cried yesterday while he was throwing a tantrum ("You go away mommy. I want daddy in here."). Afterwards he hugged me and said, "I'm sorry mommy. Daddy, look, her crying. Her sad." And that broke my heart all over again..... /sigh. Parenting is hard.
5. GTKY: What is your favorite holiday and why?
The Christmas season (from Thanksgiving to early January) is my favorite holiday/time of year. I love everything about Christmas, the music, how people are generally nicer during the season, how excited kids (I...) get about Christmas events, all of our traditions, etc. My family was big on celebrating throughout the season and we have a bunch of traditions that span the whole time. DH and are taking those and instituting a few for our own family, and adding new ones too.

@kmalls sorry about the insurance insurance issues. You would think your doctors office would be the one on the phone trying to fix their mistake.
@itsrandiyo I can't get over why family thinks it's their personal information to share with the whole world. I've stopped sharing info with some family members because they can't keep anything to themselves.
@g_amoss I think everyone gets weird irrational thoughts. I've had my share over here and I'm sure I'll have more throughout the pregnancy.

2. How are you feeling? I'm feeling pretty good. Oh hi second trimester! Once in awhile I'll feel a little sick from something I ate but I can't complain.
3. Any appointments coming up? I have one tomorrow. Just a normal appointment with the best part listening to the heart beat.
4. Rants, raves, questions? My skin is awful and I can't wash my face enough to get it to clear up.
5. GTKY: What is your favorite holiday and why? As a kid I loved the holidays. Now it's a nightmare trying to get everyone together on the SAME DAY. Too much family in one house for too long now is like a circus act. But If I had to pick I do enjoy the 4th of July.

I'm feeling great, other than a head cold. The emotional craziness seems to have subsided so I'm no longer crying 4 times a day.

NT scan on Friday. It will be the second picture and I CAN'T WAIT.

Getting excited to share our news. We are eloping in two weeks and having a reception the next night at a fancy restaurant with our families. We get to break double news to them: our marriage and our pregnancy. I am both excited and wildly anxious about the whole thing.
5. GTKY: What is your favorite holiday and why?
I am very specifically a Christmas morning fan. Holidays in general stress me out but we do Christmas morning with just my parents, grandma and SO. Its a quiet, peaceful tradition that I love.
@JJMNO1616, @Dumbgurl04, @g_amoss - I'm also a Halloween fan. Less so now that I can't dress up at work and we don't get any trick or treaters. I love the shirt though!!
@kmalls - I hope you get your insurance stuff sorted quickly. I'd dealing with some of that too...no fun.
Uh I hate that @StephieMK one of my annoying co-workers does that too. Anything and everything that is "BIG" to her she has to repeat (sometimes to the same people) OVER AND OVER AND OVER again. Thank God for noise canceling headphones

Pretty good right now. Lightheaded if I don't eat often enough but otherwise I'm doing well.

5. GTKY: What is your favorite holiday and why?
Christmas for sure. I love how family-centered it is and the fact that everyone gets just a little more cheerful and kind toward others. Plus Christmas music is my jam.

2. How are you feeling?
Nausea is letting up (except during a turbulent plane landing yesterday, I almost threw up bleh), and I think I'm starting to have more energy in the evenings to keep up with my little energizer bunny. I'm also feeling pretty huge and it's probably getting obvious to my coworkers but I haven't told anyone yet. I broke out my maternity pants last week - best decision ever.

Ugh feeling generally blah and sad today after reading about Las Vegas this morning. I feel like this country has been in a downward spiral and it makes me really sad and scared for my babies.

5. GTKY: What is your favorite holiday and why?
Christmas for sure! I love everyone getting together, playing games, delicious food. Everyone is typically nicer. I love the cheery songs, the snow, the movies, the baked goods, the generosity, the lights. Everything. I just love it.

2. How are you feeling?
Like crap, but I think it's mostly because it's serious allergy season around here. For whatever reason I didn't have horrible m/s early on, but the last 2 weeks it's hit full force! what the heck.
3. Any appointments coming up?
Just had one on Friday, and my OB did a surprise u/s! She said she's found that moms who have had miscarriages get antsy at 10 weeks if she can't immediately find the heartbeat, so she just does an u/s to avoid the angst. I officially love that policy.

I just want this headache to go the f away.
Wow, I feel like I'm in a bad mood and just venting, sorry! Not enough sleep this weekend.
5. GTKY: What is your favorite holiday and why?
It used to be St. Patricks Day, because I always thought it was the best possible birthday to have! Now I think it's probably Thanksgiving - all the food and family without the stress of gift giving!

Just had one on Friday and heard a strong heartbeat (172 bpm!). Otherwise I need to call and schedule NT scan within the next week or two.

Rave, I finally started telling work and I'm so happy to have the secret out. It's such a relief to walk around looking fat but confident instead of trying to hide it!
5. GTKY: What is your favorite holiday and why?
It was Halloween when I was a kid, I was obsessed with dressing up and theater and all that fun stuff. Now it's probably Thanksgiving - I love the food and family, plus DS's birthday usually falls right around Thanksgiving so it's just an exciting time of year in general.

11 weeks, babies are the size of limes.
2. How are you feeling?
Still a little nauseous. I feel like last week was the worst as I ended up calling in sick on Friday. Super tired otherwise. I feel like I get little flutters even though I know it’s too early to feel them. I definitely feel a little “stretched” out today, too!
3. Any appointments coming up?
Another u/s on 10/9 to track Baby B’s growth because he/she is a few days behind their sibling... also we found out I still have some SCH lurking in there which makes me slightly paranoid.

We finally told my parents this weekend and there were SO MANY happy tears. They are over the moon and it makes me so happy.
5. GTKY: What is your favorite holiday and why?
I love Halloween and Christmas... I think probably because there is such a strong aesthetic associated with both holidays.

2. Still have a lot of nausea/vomiting and unable to be a fully functioning human. Every week I hear that I'll be feeling better soon but that second trimester still feels so far away...
3. Had two in the past week so nothing until 10/23
4. Just want to feel better. It's hard to get excited about the pregnancy (even though we are very happy) while feeling like this.
5. Thanksgiving. Hands down. I have a large family (couple dozen first cousins) and we have a huge three day holiday with everyone. It's super casual and just reminds me of growing up with all my family around. Its my happy place!

Christmas Eve-- I'm Italian and we do traditional fish based dinner. I love the food and love the traditions.

The nurse called with my maternit21 results today! It was negative for any chromosomal abnormalities. Also found out that baby is a girl!

Christmas! I love everything about it. The giving, baking, decorating, music, family gatherings
@julzy, we have a tradition for Christmas Eve too, not Italian and not fish, but its my favorite tradition for the whole season, we do Fondue at home. Early on in my parents marriage, my dad was stationed in Germany and my parents fell in love with the Swiss ritual of cooking your food at the table and dipping it in cheese (I mean, who doesn't love this right? lol). Anyway, flash forward 30 years and its been a tradition for every Christmas Eve... one that DH and I are going to continue for our family!

None until October 20. But I am going in for a blood draw next Monday for the MaterniT21 test. I'm excited and a little anxious at the same time.

I'm either super hangry, or nothing sounds appetizing at all. There is no middle ground. I don't remember my appetite being like this when I was pregnant with DS.
5. GTKY: What is your favorite holiday and why?
Thanksgiving is my favorite, with Christmas coming in as a close second. I like Thanksgiving because we usually spend it at home with friends, and also, I love the food. I say Christmas is second because we usually travel to see family, and sometimes the stress of the holiday takes away some of the joy. But again, family, friends, food, what more could you want? I think I also really enjoy the traditions we have for both holidays. We run a 5K on Thanksgiving morning (I've done this for 15+ years, and DH joined me once we started dating, DS joined us once he was born too), and I love getting a Christmas tree and doing all the decorations.
My dad was in the military so we always lived far from family. For most of my childhood, we were on a three year rotation: 1 year at home just us, 1 year with Mom's side of the family, and 1 year with Dad's side of the family.
Regardless of where we were, we just hunkered down, hung out, and played with family for a week leading up to (and sometimes a week after) Christmas. There was no stress involved with being places at a certain time, no last minute driving hours away, then turning around and driving back home. This made the experience a lot more fun for us as kids, and now something I jealously guard as a parent.
It's a little different for our little family than it was for me as a kid. DH's family is local while mine is not (closest is 5 hours away). We tend to see his family a lot more so I like to take time during Christmas to see mine, but we can't not see his. Its something we balance every year. Thankfully everyone in both sides of our family is respectful of our desire to have time with both families and time by ourselves (so if that means skipping one or both families, then so be it). That helps keep the stress down for us.

1. How many weeks are you? How big is baby?
11 weeks yesterday. Baby is the size of a lime or a fig.. those seem like very different sizes to me.
2. How are you feeling?
I feel like my symptoms have made a grand return in the last week. I think they were likely increased by having a tough travel schedule this weekend and not being able to have regularly scheduled meals or sleep. I realized this weekend how critical it is for me to eat full meals and not just snack throughout the day. I am certainly hoping some of the nausea symptoms start to decrease in the coming weeks, and I am hopeful they will!
3. Any appointments coming up?
I will have my first appointment with my OB/GYN (I had been seeing midwives up until this point) in 4-5 weeks. It feels like it's so far away, but I am hoping the time will go by quickly.

5. GTKY: What is your favorite holiday and why?
I love Christmas. Although it can get extremely cold during that time in Minnesota, I just love the preparation and "feeling" of Christmas. It is particularly meaningful for my faith and the family traditions we have. I am looking forward to brainstorming some new traditions we can implement next year with baby.

Y'all. I am so cranky. I need to go pick up my kids in 10 minutes and I don't want to - not because I don't want to get my kids, but because I don't want to be cranky towards them! They already think I'm losing my mind because I am forgetting everything this week, so I don't need them to think I've completely lost it. I'm just tired and have a sinus infection and don't really want to break up 265 fights this afternoon. What is with the crankiness!?!?
