@wisewitch222 I watched the first three episodes of the Orville and I'm in the same boat. I think it's pretty awful, mostly because of the character's lack of depth. Star Trek has always revolved around the characters, and they can make it look similar and pay homage all they want, it's still going to fall short if they're all caricatures that only exist to get a laugh. Plus Seth McFarlane always seems like a smug jerk to me. Lol.
@pregobeth if you have a firestick, Roku, or a computer you can sign up for a one week free trial of CBS all access. They have the first two episodes of Star Trek discovery available for streaming right now, but they're out of their minds if they think I'm paying ten bucks a month to keep watching
I really miss Parenthood, and I should have jumped on the This is Us wagon awhile ago to fill the void, but life got busy and I stopped following anything. I have it on our DVR list, so I just watched the season 2 first episode, and I think I can get back into it like I did with Parenthood. Your recommendations are hard to ignore!
Thanks @blinksmb! I didn't know about that! I used to have a netflix account, hulu, and hbo online, but I spent more time trying to decide on what to watch than actually watching anything I cancelled them all when we moved and didn't have good internet access. :'( Hopefully now that we moved again I can start watching shows again.
