Thanks for starting all the threads @kiki75 . Your gif is especially fitting for me today. I checked my FB this morning and way too many of my FB had reposted this supposed NFL rule about the pledge of allegiance. A quick Google search later and I learned lo and behold what the players should be doing during the pledge is not mentioned in the NFL rulebook. Some a-hole just made up some shit and it went viral, and about a quarter of my FB friends fell for it and spread it around. If people would just take the time and RESEARCH things then maybe the world would be a slightly better place.

@muggle621 That's funny not funny. My dad is a big fan of this whole "Abe Lincoln said don't believe everything you read on the internet!" yuk yuk yuk thing and then he'll forward me these emails that are ridiculous and debunked with about two seconds of Googling.
My MBF is just plain Monday. I just want a full whole weekend that isn't barfed on by work. The last five have been poisoned by work in one way or another. Packing from a trip. Wiped the heck out & out of commission for the whole weekend recovering from a trip. On a trip working a 10-hour day. Recovering. Doing a "summer" BBQ that kept me out way too late and left me wanting to puke my guts out and then left me wiped out yesterday... I just want to go home and go back to bed and then shop for a pregnancy pillow situation. I'm kind of thinking about getting a couple of the Boppy wedges.

@kiki75 Your job sounds draining. I hope you can get a good weekend of rest soon! I am intrigued by your mention of boppy wedges. I am about to google what those are. I want a snoogle but it won't fit in our current queen bed with my 6'3 husband and 35 pound (I seriously just blanked on the abbreviation for pound ) dog.

My bitch today is that I'm tired of toddler drama. They really go big or go home when it comes to emotions, and I don't get a break from it so it's really draining.
My MBF is that between now and Christmas, my husband will be home for a total of less than 3 weeks. Then he gets Christmas leave for two weeks and after that he'll be gone again right up until the birth of this baby. My fingers are crossed that I make it the full 40 weeks or my husband won't be here for the birth and I'll be doing this completely alone with a toddler.
@shawnnaO wow, fingers crossed that everything goes ok, that's got to be tough!
My MBF is that last night I took my eyes off of my 2yr old DS while I was putting DD to bed and in that time (all I did was help her brush her teeth, read her a story and get out her outfit for the next day) he climbed out of his pack n play (which we are currently using as a play pen), came upstairs, closed the door to his room, took the Vaseline off of his changing table, opened it and smeared big globs all over the bars of his crib (got some on the floor too) using up the whole jar, took the package of face wipes and pulled them all out into his garbage can and then passed out on the floor behind the door. When I went to open the door I had to gently push him in to get the door open and then when I saw the destruction I couldn't even yell at him because he was sleeping. Suffice it to say I was not amused
@LaurenAnn0405 - I would have been so frustrated to walk into that scenario, but holy moly I hope it's not offensive to say that story cracked me up! Kids are such tornadoes! It sounds like something my DS would have done. You definitely have my sympathy though!
@becausescience it 40C here right now... that's the equivalent of 104F. I live in a cold climate city - it should NOT BE THIS HOT when we are basically in October. just shoot me - it's been like this since Friday abbr the heatwave is supposed to last until Weds..... ugh
Laundry. All.of.the.laundry... I swear that someday MH will actually put his damn laundry away and I won’t be stuck rewashing it because a toddler threw it on the floor and two smelly puppies slept on it or a kitty climbed in the basket and shed all over it. I washed and folded at least 6 loads of laundry today and four of them were a rewash because pregnant me got tired doing laundry and asked MH to fold a load and put it away. Ugh. I will learn. One day.
Also, does anyone else have to deal with dirty laundry next to the open hamper or is that just me?? I love MH. I really, really do.
And finally coffee. I can finally stomach the taste and for three days in a row I’ve had 1/3 to 1/2 a cup of coffee and then my ears won’t clear for at least 8 hours and copious amounts of water later. So I’m back to not drinking coffee. No coffee today, my ears are fine. What is this BS?!
I can't sleep. It's 2:15 and tomorrow is the longest day I've had in a long time. At 5:30 I need to leave to catch a train downtown to get to an 8 appointment. Apparently this office is notoriously slow for appointments so could be there for quite some time. I have to occupy myself downtown for a few hours (which should be easy) as I then have my fetal echo at 3. That could take a while as I'll be meeting with the cardiologist after. I'm assuming I'll catch a 430/5 train (If I'm lucky) which would get me home for 6, but I could be unlucky and may not catch a train till 530/6. I then work an overnight 10-6. So best case scenario, I sleep from now till 5:10 (just over 2.5 hrs) and I won't sleep again till tomorrow at 6:30 my son will be up at 8:30.
My mbf is work. I just can't keep bending over backwards just to have them change deadlines!! now our big deadline coincides with my vacation, (leaving the night of and I'm expected to be on call untill midnight) and my bosses reaction was "oh the airline your flying with has wifi, so you'll be able to work" ive been doing 10 hours overtime a week for the past month.... cant I go on vacation in peace???? Not my fault you decided to change the deadline with no notice!
MBF it was my birthday on a very rainy Monday, and I left home after seeing my kids for 2.2 seconds in the morning at 7:15 and didn't get home until 11pm. I had to skip my workout in lieu of sleep this morning and I feel groggy and a little sad. I spent the day with awesome coworkers who were so kind, and I have volleyball players who are very sweet, but it was hard to spend the whole day with everyone else's kids except my own. I don't usually get so emotional, but I cried on my way to work because it was going to be a long day and I wouldn't get to rest, eat a normal meal, or cuddle my kids before bed. I realize it's not that big of a deal and there will be other days, but I was feeling a little sorry for myself--maybe just a case of the birthday Mondays.
The silver lining was that my dad, who lives and works over an hour away from where we played, showed up at our match to watch the whole thing, brought cupcakes for my girls, and then sat with me while I ate a quick dinner he brought me before varsity played. He and my mom hatched the plan, and their anniversary and my birthday are on the same day...so needless to say, I was spoiled with love by the end of the day, but it was still a long bus ride home!!
My SO left to go on tour for 3 weeks for a well known band as their guitar tech. The day before he left we had a disastrous announcement photo shoot and our photographer totally didn't take it seriously. It was hot (Texas is 90 degree autumn) and I was hungry and tired from being up since 5 am throwing up. Try to go have a nice dinner on the water where we ran into my SO's ex wife who decided to come up and introduce herself like I don't know who she is and chat him up. Oh and then he almost woke up too late for his flight so I had to drive him to the airport at 4 am then go to work. Feels good to let this out haha.

MBF: I wore my cute ankle boots to work and now my feet hurt and I only have myself to blame.
Also it is like 85F+. I just want my fall weather already! It was 90F this past weekend. And it is supposed to be hot until the weekend.
