Month/Cycle: 2/3 CD: 10 WAYDTGKU: Things R/R: No positive OPKs yet. I'll bring some to work with me and see how good I am at peeing in to the packaging, but, I don't see things going well there. || We're having some issues at home with DSS, so I may not be on for a few days until things settle. Just a heads up if I disappear. I'll try to get on and at least keep up with everyone's journeys and give love tits, but if you don't see me post - that's why. CS/Q: GTKY: What's in your purse? Lip gloss, tooth pick things, my wallet, chewing gum, my handgun, like 10 pens, a hair tie, chapstick... I think that's it...
@izza2 Handgun? I am sorry to hear you are having issues with your SS. I hope that you are able to work things through quickly. Being a step parent can be tough, I have a SS too. So if you need to talk, I am here.

R/R: It's Monday. I am not a fan. Got a workout in at the gym and teaching later, so I get to burn extra calories today. MH managed to FaceTime me for 2 seconds yesterday, so very happy about that!
CS/Q: Nope
GTKY: What's in your purse? Everything! Wallet, chap stick, lip gloss, perfume, tampons, glasses, sunglasses, hair ties, dental floss, gum, keys, hair clips, coupons and emergency makeup.
@izza2 lol at peeing into the packaging at work. Is that how people take them when they're out and about? I was curious about that. That sounds tricky! GL with that. GL with everything going on with your DSS too. @nitnat007 Hey, I just noticed that we're cycle buddies! That was my response to @izza2's handgun too! Glad you got to FaceTime with YH yesterday, even though it was so short. How is he doing?

R/R: Rave: Short work week! Got laundry done and everything packed up for vacation. I don't have much else on my mind besides vacation right now.
GTKY: What's in your purse? Chapstick and lotion, because I can't live without those things. Also my wallet, floss, a pen, and probably some crumpled up old grocery lists stuffed in the bottom. *TW-kid* I have DD's birth certificate in my purse today too because I'm going to "steal" a photocopy of it from work today. *end TW*
So it turns out in addition to the bladder cancer, my Dad has stage 4 lung cancer. According to the Oncologist he isn't a candidate for chemo because he is so weak. So today I get to have a nice conversation with my boss about trying to work remotely for a week or so so I can spend some time with him. It's hard to imagine he is so weak because he sounds so with it over the phone. Mentally he is still all there. I need to see for myself.
Rave - made an apple pie last night with some of my haul from Apple picking on Saturday. 7 cups of apples and I barely made a dent! I have to pat myself on the back because it is delicious.
CS/Q: I'm second guessing if I had a true positive OPK yesterday. My CBAD is still just saying high. I'm going to wait a few days and let my temps do the talking. Chart in Spoiler.
GTKY: What's in your purse?
iPad, wallet, keys, chapstick, hand sanitizer, OPKs, notebook for songwriting
R/R: I hate trying to decipher OPKs...mine are definitely still lighter than the control line, but there's been no difference in shade between any of them. I've got less than a week to pop out an egg, or I'm out till Nov-Dec timeframe Boo!
CS/Q: Blah...in spoiler. All my open dots were taken at 4am. So at least they're consistent with each other.
GTKY: What's in your purse? Nothing! I don't carry one. If I did it would be my wallet and phone and that's it. I'm very low maintenance
I'm be back for responses...mobile is about to die!
@izza2 Hope things with your SS settle down quickly! @nitnat007 Glad you got to chat with YH, however briefly! Have fun teaching later! @offtoneverland Sounds you're on top of things with the vacation prep! @nimmle I'm so sorry you're going through all of that with your dad. R/R: rant - it's Monday. Don't wanna go to work. It's rainy here and I'd rather snuggle with the kitties all day. rave - I got a lot of class prep done yesterday, so my week shouldn't be too hectic.
CS/Q: I'm pretty sure O was yesterday, but my temp rise today wasn't huge, so it's possible it's today. More sex tonight, I guess! I think I had ovulation pain yesterday evening though. For those who have it, what does it feel like? I pretty much just felt some cramping in my lower abdomen on the right. Similar to period cramps. Chart in spoiler for your stalking pleasure.
GTKY: What's in your purse? I usually carry a large computer bag rather than a purse. Typical contents are: laptop, random papers from work, some student assignments, umbrella, glasses, sunglasses, wallet, phone, keys, gum, vga adapter and clicker for my laptop, and maybe a snack.
R/R: Ugh Mondays. Let's all petition to only have a four day work week!
CS/Q:
GTKY: Oh man, so much. Currently it's receipts, little markers, chapstick, lipstick, pens and pencils, wallet, planner, business cards, glasses case, perfume, snacks, and sunscreen.
@izza2 Sorry to hear you're having trouble with your DSS. I hope it all works out soon.
@nitnat007 Yay for being able to FaceTime with YH! And you got a morning workout?! That seems like a good start to the week.
@offtoneverland Your vacation sounds amazing! You're doing the cruise, right? That will be fun. How long will it be?
@nimmle Aw I am so sorry to hear that. *hugs* Do you have an understanding boss?
R/R: Rant: I forgot DH was going out of town for work this morning. He reminded me last night and it threw me off gaurd. He's brought it several times. I should have remembered. The weekend flew by too fast, and it made me forget. I always miss him when he's gone. Rave: DH finally caved and we emptied our living room to help make it look bigger. I just want our house to sell so I can move into my new one!
CS/Q:
GTKY: What's in your purse? Solar eclipse glasses, hair ties, lip gloss and change.
@offtoneverland Oh hey cycle buddy! MH is doing ok, although he says he is feeling very homesick right now, which is unlike him. In the 16 years he has been in, this is the first time that he has not been given a return date. I think that is taking a toll on everyone, home and away. Otherwise they are pulling really long days, but the team is working well together. Thanks for asking. I am super jealous that you are going on vacation soon! The week is going to fly by for you.
@nimmle I am so sorry to hear about your dad. Such a tough time for you. How far away is he? I hope you are able to get to see him soon and spend time with him. I am sure that work will be understanding considering the circumstances. ((hugs)) I didn't know that you wrote songs. What sort of songs do you write? That is very cool!
@josie12367 FX that egg drops soon! Keep hio and hopefully you will still have some decent timing either way.
@darkstar42 Good work on getting all your class prep done yesterday. Looks like you might be right on O'ing yesterday, but I would hio tonight just in case!
@SkilledSailor I have been working on getting us down to a four day week for years now. For some reason the bosses aren't going for it?? I would totally work a 10 hour day to have Friday's off.
@izza2 Yes--I feel ya! Peeing on OPKs while out and about is always a challenge. I am hoping that things settle easily with DSS. How old is he? Let us know if you need anything--I'm only a PM away. @nitnat007 Yay--so glad you were able to facetime with YH, albeit brief. How is he doing? Any updates on his return? How are you holding up? @offtoneverland Excited for your short week and upcoming vacation! Have you mostly packed everything? The good news about the cruise ship is that they have a ton of stuff on the ship you can buy if you forget anything, but it can be pricey. You can also do laundry on the ship! @nimmle I am so sorry to hear the latest update on your dad. ((Big hugs)) How far away does he live? I hope your boss is understanding of your need to visit him and work remotely. Also, I am very jealous of your apple picking and apple pie! @josie12367 I missed commenting yesterday because I usually take Sundays off from TB, but I read the thread today and I am so glad that you all had a great weekend and good chance to chat. Also, I hear ya on deciphering OPKs--that can be a real challenge! This month I am planning to use both the cheapies and the CB digital. @darkstar42 It is so hard to be motivated when it is rainy/drizzly outside and you just want to snuggle up inside with your pets. @SkilledSailor I missed chiming into yesterday's thread because I take a bump break on Sundays, but so glad you had a great birthday! @galactickates Hey CD buddy! @galactickates If you want any tips on selling your home, please feel free to PM me. I'm a home stager and can do a lot of it based on photos.
@nitnat007 Right?! Happily would work longer days for consistent three day weekends. Science says most people do the majority of the work the first four days of the week anyway.
@dukestar5 I need tips for meals these next few weeks too. We should start a thread for people to share their favorites so we can all get new ideas.
@izza2 Hope everything gets sorted out with YDSS and I like how you just slid a handgun into your list @nitnat007 good for you for getting a workout in! I hope they give YH a return date soon. @offtoneverland yay for vacation! I'll be out Thurs-Mon too! Where are you headed? @nimmle so sorry to hear about your dad. I hope your boss is understanding. Do you usually have a laptop you can take home to work from? @josie12367 FX for your little egg! @darkstar42 it was so hard to get out of bed this morning! Also, tell me more about your trip to Nashville...is it for work or fun? Who is traveling with you? Any big plans? I was just telling MH this weekend that it is a city I would love to visit.
@SkilledSailor@nitnat007@dukestar5@krashke Thank you so much. My boss is very understanding about it and is letting me work remote so I can go down there. He lives in KY and I am up in NYC area so it's a bit of a trip to get there since he's not super close to a major airport. But I will be heading down on Thursday for a week.

I am going with my BFF on a little girls trip. She had Southwest vouchers to use by the end of the year. We are staying at an AirBnB in east Nashville. We're hoping to go to the Opry and were seeing a Jonathan Jackson show. We tried to get tickets to the Blue Bird Cafe this morning but they sold out in literally 5 mins for all the shows this weekend. We will also be eating a lot and checking out the honky-tonks. If you start planning and want more specifics feel free to PM me! It will be my second time there and I love it! It will be a nice distraction from the TWW and I'm in the "drink til its pink" boat so I'm excited that we weren't benched because of it and I can still enjoy myself.

@izza2 hope everything works out at home! @nitnat007 yay for the facetime!! Its so nice to not just hear a voice @offtoneverland where are you going for vaca? @nimmle I am so sorry about the news of your dad... ugh. I hate that disease so much! Sending hugs @josie12367 this is a tough chart! Your CF pattern seems to be moving away from fertile, but your temps are not playing ball. I wish youd been doing opks from cd 10 or 11... @darkstar42 did you note any CF today? You don't have to have a big jump for it to be o... If we make your coverline 97.1 then your temp today is above that. All you need is 3 temps above the cl to confirm o. I have a couple types of o pain. Some sharp, some dull, sometimes both... depends on the cycle @SkilledSailor yes on the 4 day work week!!! @galactickates love that you still have your eclipse glasses with you @dukestar5 hmmm healthy snacks.... my main go to's are nuts and fruit. I do lazy meal prep... I cook a bunch of food on sunday and alternate that stuff for dinners and lunch then do it again on maybe Wednesday. This weekend I grilled so it will probably go further. I usually just make a protein and some veggies, sometimes some sweet potato or sprouted brown rice.... I'm gluten free and mostly paleo aip.

GTKY: What's in your purse? Lip stick, chapstick, phone, phone charger, wallet, hand-warmers, transit tickets, pens, dental floss, tampons, and a laser pointer.
@izza2 Sorry about your DSS. Do you have a specialized handbag holster or a holster handbag? Tests show a marked difference by just having a gun in your bag v a specialized holster. Though the fastest retentionand most secure method of carrying is still on your person.

@nimmle I think somehow the pic makes it look better than it does. But the bag organizer helps a lot because i can stick thinks into the little pouches and pockets @lurvleybunchococnuts Your hair looks awesome! You know... the best part about ivf is DH only has to *really* give it up once that cycle. lol @canucklehead123 You are still looking good for maybe O today (which may be why the temp dip). I find i tend to get my pos OPK's later in the day (not FMU) I tend to test 2 or 3 times a day.
Thanks @dragonette505 ...I've tested twice now today, and the second test was lighter than the first, but both extremely faint. I'm actually thinking (if today is indeed O day), that I might have missed the surge yesterday or Saturday even, because the test lines I was getting were quite dark, but not quite AS dark as the test line (I got a positive OPK last cycle and it was quite obvious and immediate).
Mobile, so LTs and no tags, but yes, I have my carry concealed license and carry my pistol in my purse! It's not a concealed carry purse but that's on my list for Christmas and my birthday! I have a bunch of them bookmarked. Same with thigh holsters for summer time/dress season.
@dragonette505 your purse is so organized! I used to have a big tote/purse like that, might have to start using it again. Lol, I imagine that is a "perk" of IVF?

@lurvleybunchococonuts Haha! A gong show as in it's going to be crazy busy during October. I'm an analyst for a company and we are entering into our busy season.
Hi guys, this is my first non-intro post. I've been lurking, but had to share my misinterpretation of "pnv" in the "WAYDTGKU" portion of these posts. I definitely thought it meant p in v - as in penis in vagina....a silly way to say having sex. I now realize it must be prenatal vitamins. Alas, I cannot stop laughing and I think others in my office are becoming concerned.
@izza2 Sorry to hear you are having issues with your SS. I hope it works out quickly.
@nimmle Love apple pie. Do you have a go to recipe. I usually try to make an apple and a pumpkin for Thanksgiving and am always looking for new options.
@josie12367 I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one having trouble figuring out a positive/negative OPK. My control line keeps bleeding and I'm not sure if there is a test line or not. Thinking I may need to buy a new pack or something. Going to switch over to CBE digital.
@darkstar42 How long have you been doing acupuncture? I've been considering it and researching options here in NY. I'd love to hear your opinion on it.
@galactickates GL with your home sale. I'm so impatient, so I understand your frustration with the wait!
@dukestar5 I second your call for healthy recipes/snacks. We've been eating out/ordering delivery WAY too much and I'm starting to feel it in how tight my jeans fit! Yikes!

@nimmle Happy to hear that work is supportive and you will be able to see him soon. Your song writing sounds lovely and creative. Do you play an instrument and sing yourself or do you prefer to keep your music private?
@dragonette505 You are very organized. How are you doing with IVF prep? I have FX that this is your cycle.
@lurvleybunchofcoconuts Your hair look lovely! Sorry YH has not been cooperative on the hio front.

@ChloandCoco I am the same way, love work to be busy, but there is a point where it can get crazy overwhelming. FX it stays under control.
@LaceyBee522 Welcome!! I think it took me a while to get PNV down too. I think I prefer the other version lol. I am a fitness instructor and teach Bodypump at a couple of the local gyms. Please share a pic. Love fun crafts.
@LaceyBee522 This is the first time I've ever made one myself and I used the recipe on this site. Finally got to use the pie dish I got for my wedding. It is absolutely delicious! Better than store brand .
@nimmle That recipe looks tasty. Do you make your own crust? I tried it once and it was not my greatest masterpiece. Ha! So, since then I've just been using the refrigerated Pillsbury brand.

And yes, I love grilling and being able to have food for leftovers during the week. @lurvleybunchococonuts I am sorry about your charting/hio frustrations. Do you think you O'd yet? Also, yay for hair color--it feels great to get rid of the greys! @canucklehead123 I am sorry. Sometimes I O around CD20/21 too and I understand your frustrations. I took the concealed handgun class, but never sent in my paperwork for the license. Long story! @LaceyBee522 Welcome! I cannot wait to see pics. @nitnat007 I hear you...it is so difficult to be motivated to cook when MH is gone. I will sometimes just do bagged salads (throw in some eggs/avocado etc to liven it up!) and then chop up & roast a sweet potato (with olive oil and S/P)...that or sometimes cereal. lol @mygoodlucycat Welcome! I am sorry about having to confront a disrespectful supervisee. (What line of work are you in--if you do not mind me asking)? I really dislike confrontation, but I know providing constructive feedback is so important. GL with that conversation! @Katm89 Yay for the positive OPK! Have fun tonight!

WAYDTGKU: Things
R/R: No positive OPKs yet.

CS/Q: I'm second guessing if I had a true positive OPK yesterday. My CBAD is still just saying high. I'm going to wait a few days and let my temps do the talking. Chart in Spoiler.

CS/Q: Blah...in spoiler. All my open dots were taken at 4am. So at least they're consistent with each other.

For those who have it, what does it feel like? I pretty much just felt some cramping in my lower abdomen on the right. Similar to period cramps. Chart in spoiler for your stalking pleasure.
GTKY: What's in your purse?

@nitnat007 Yay for being able to FaceTime with YH! And you got a morning workout?! That seems like a good start to the week.

@offtoneverland Oh hey cycle buddy!
((Big hugs))

R/R: We ate terribly this weekend, so I am getting back on track with food prep and meal planning for the week. If anyone has any favorite recipes or healthy snack ideas, please send them my way!
CS/Q:
GTKY: What's in your purse?
Wallet, keys, phone, lip gloss/chapstick, feminine items, receipts, old grocery lists, pens, gum, a snack or two, a small bible, a prayer journal, and a planner. (It can get rather heavy, so I need to remember to clean it out every few days!)
@nitnat007 Right?! Happily would work longer days for consistent three day weekends. Science says most people do the majority of the work the first four days of the week anyway.
@dukestar5 I need tips for meals these next few weeks too. We should start a thread for people to share their favorites so we can all get new ideas.
@nitnat007 good for you for getting a workout in!
And it was still pitch dark at 7 am! ugh
@SkilledSailor how was the football game? I second the recipes thread +1 for healthy easy ones
@galactickates GL selling your house!
@dukestar5 the weather here this week is finally going to be like fall so I have a butternut squash soup in the crock pot at home for tonight and we should get a lot of leftovers from that.

@nimmle I am so sorry about the news of your dad... ugh. I hate that disease so much! Sending hugs
@josie12367 this is a tough chart!
Some sharp, some dull, sometimes both... depends on the cycle
@SkilledSailor yes on the 4 day work week!!!
@galactickates love that you still have your eclipse glasses with you
@dukestar5 hmmm healthy snacks.... my main go to's are nuts and fruit. I do lazy meal prep... I cook a bunch of food on sunday and alternate that stuff for dinners and lunch then do it again on maybe Wednesday. This weekend I grilled so it will probably go further. @dukestar5Good luck with your food prep and meal planning this week!

It feels like such a long time to wait when others O around CD10 or 12! I set a date that I can start using opks--otherwise I waste them.
@Mylitta GL with the promotion testing! What line of work are you in--if you do not mind me asking?
@ChloandCoco Do you have your own business? GL with the busy season!

@LaceyBee522 Welcome! I was just going to ask you about the glitter pumpkins because I remember your newbie intro. So cool! I cannot wait to see pics.
@nitnat007 I hear you...it is so difficult to be motivated to cook when MH is gone. I will sometimes just do bagged salads (throw in some eggs/avocado etc to liven it up!) and then chop up & roast a sweet potato (with olive oil and S/P)...that or sometimes cereal. lol
@mygoodlucycat Welcome! I am sorry about having to confront a disrespectful supervisee. (What line of work are you in--if you do not mind me asking)? I really dislike confrontation, but I know providing constructive feedback is so important. GL with that conversation!
