I feel like such a whiner....but, I am so over this "morning" sickness BS. Vomiting at least twice a day, can't eat anything but pancakes and oatmeal, so exhausted. I know deep down I am so grateful to be pregnant and should just suck it up, but i honestly didn't expect it to be this bad. I especially didn't expect to not be able to eat anything. I know it can be so much worse....so here's to hoping it doesn't get much worse.
@kpc914 don't feel guilty. Who loves being sick? It's okay to hate being pregnant or the symptoms. You're doing this for the end result, not the process.
My son was just diagnosed with strep throat. Because I don't already have enough to do.
This is the fourth or fifth time (I've lost count) he's been sick in two months! In the summer! Everyone insists it's "normal" for him to be sick this many times since he's in daycare, but to me it feels like a LOT. Does anyone else's kid(s) get sick often?
That does seem like a lot. Has it been strep every time? Please tell me no.
I should also mention he's allergic to penicillin, cefdinir, and sulfamethox (just found out about that one) so sometimes it makes it hard to get rid of some things on the first try.
@kpc914 you can be excited to be pregnant and over feeling terrible. I'm excited but I'm SO OVER this exhaustion. The second we decided to try for a second I was dreading the first trimester, giving up wine, and being in the hospital after birth.
@heelsidehero it's totally normal. Kids in school and daycare get sick all the time. One winter my kids got strep, norovirus, RSV and pneumonia within a few months. It was crazy town!!
@Poppy0419 agree! Looking forward to actually being able to enjoy pregnancy, even if just a little. I know my husband can't wait either...today he told me that i seem miserable and that he misses his eating buddy. hahah He can't order as much at restaurants anymore because I'm not able to help him finish it.
My three year old has hfm. He screams all night long, so I'm not sleeping. I bet his brother will get in in two or three days. Jury is out on whether I get it or not. Who wants to make a bet?
@heelsidehero did you recently start at the daycare? My kiddos got a ton of stuff when they started. They also get sick a lot every August when they go back (they stay home with me in the summer bc I'm a teacher).
@kpc914 I feel like a whiner for the opposite reason. I keep complaining that I don't have symptoms. A precious loss makes me so crazy looking for symptoms. Doesn't help that I had a ton with both of my successful pregnancies. Typing about it makes me want to send dh for a test so I can double check (or x100 check!).
@jenniatONU - I am late to the party but SIMS!!! I used to LOVE sims! I spent waaaaay to much time playing. Now I am thinking I need to download it too...

I had strep throat eleven times in one year, and our insurance wouldn't pay to have my tonsils removed.
@roomsu my son has been consistently in daycare for 18 mo. Second year in a row getting sick at this time of year though. Sucks having him sick in the summer. I've been told he'll have a great immune system by the time school starts haha.
I keep almonds by my bed. I don't like them too much, so I have to be super desperate to break into them.
I drink RRL tea in third tri. I love herbal teas but it's too hot here in the mojave to drink tea on the reg.
I am a believer of the benefits of RRL tea. I took mine in capsule fromlast time and had the quickest labor- it was my first labor and I was in active labor for about 5 hrs and only pushed through 4 contractions. It may be genetics or luck, or the RRL, who knows, but I'll be taking them again this time.

I didn't do RRL my first time and did my second. My first was 32+ hours labor, my second was 9. Of course, #1 was also sunny side up, but I still think the RRL helps.
I'm trying to be optimistic and I had a ton of coupons for joanns so I bought the first thing for the baby. Now let's see if I make this blanket before it gets here.
@momo214 I drink a lot of tea, I have the Earth Mama Baby Angel morning wellness plus their peaceful mama. My best got them for me waiting for me to get PG. I also have a bunch of no-tea herbal blends I've been collecting from T2.com My bestie also said she only drank peppermint while PG for nausea and now she has a nausea-association to it, so I'm trying to switch things up. I also do a combo of any of these: fresh lemon, fresh ginger, honey, mint There's nothing like the dutch mint tea, a handful of fresh mint right into boiling water..
@kpc914 I feel you! I didn't expect it to be so awful either. Maybe I should say I didn't think ahead about it. I've only been able to think of step 1: getting pregnant after our long infertility journey. I'm both thankful for every symptom and telling my hubby how awful it is, and excitedly telling my pg friend how I get it now I went through so much physically with all the infertility treatments though so I'm just continuing the physical fight til the end! I couldn't exercise and gained weight so I'm humbled to try to keep healthy despite the setback in health to get here.

What are you making? How are you combining knitting and using fabric for the same quilt?
I knitted a pair of booties earlier in the year for baby, and am very keen to start all the projects I've had lined up for baby... SO excited. It was just too hard to do them through IF. Maybe we should have a crafty thread?

It's flannel so I'll put those pieces together and do a crochet border. I'll try and find a pic on Pinterest.
@sparkymcgeee My OB is a dude and I flove him. He was never a dick about my weight and I don't find that too often since I'm morbidly obese. He was pretty much like "yeah, you know you're fat. Try not to get fatter." I respected the hell out of him for being real.
It's 10:30 here. My toddler is still up. Why? Because I'm too tired to get up and put her to bed. And by "put" I mean fight for 45 minutes to get her asleep. I feel like the worst mom ever this week.
We went to the chili cook off last night and usually that's fun for me but between exhaustion, need to pee, nausea and indigestion it was a recipe for disaster.
I work as a manager for a university dining services account. It's my weekend at the dining hall which means I'm surrounded by food and 2 billion different food smells. It's making me so nauseous. Kitchen checks with all the steaks being marinated and cooked isn't helping.
Anyone else work in kitchens who knows the struggle?

I don't have many symptoms. It's making me worry, but I keep telling myself everyone is different. Trying to enjoy feeling good, because who knows when that may change.
