Name one thing you love about your job. My students. And the memories I get to give people. Weddings and newborns are my favorite to photograph.
Name one thing you hate about your job. The hours. I only work 3 1/2 days in the school. And with Weddings, I'm gone most weekends. It's a weird ass schedule.

Is it your forever job? I will always be an attorney in some way, shape, or form, but I will probably eventually shift to a private firm. My pay as a state employee is okay and it is a fair trade off for the awesome benefits, but once the kid(s) are in elementary school, I will probably make the shift.
Is there a different job you'd rather have? If so, what? Not really! I have wanted to be a lawyer since 9th grade.
Name one thing you love about your job. It's hard to pick just one thing! I really feel like what I do keeps the State accountable.
Name one thing you hate about your job. Having to return a million phone calls!
What was your first job? i lived at a camp and retreat center in the mountains an hour from the nearest town. I got to work in the kitchen there for years.
What do you for a living now? I'm a program manager at a technical college and do contract database work on the side.
Is it your forever job? it could be... But I'd love to end up in information organization, I got my MLIS so either a library or something more technical would be up my alley.
Is there a different job you'd rather have? If so, what? Oops, see above answer.
Name one thing you love about your job. it's super flexible, I set my own hours and rarely see my boss.
Name one thing you hate about your job it's really great honestly... No maternity leave plan is the one downside I guess!
What was your first job? working food stands at an amusement park
What do you for a living now? I'm a behavior specialist consultant. I work with kids with Autism, ADHD, etc. at home and school. I work part time (usually 3 long days).
Is it your forever job? I hope to stay with my company but work a full time position once my kids are all in school, possibly before. I can't seem to make the leap to full time right now because I love being with my kids the other times.
Is there a different job you'd rather have? If so, what?I've always wanted to help kids, so something in similar field but possibly doing something a bit different
Name one thing you love about your job. making a difference, helping kids, seeing how much parents appreciate the help and advice I give them
Name one thing you hate about your job.my schedule is flexible but I have to make it each week and sometimes that's a job in and of itself
What do you for a living now? Police and fire dispatcher/911 operator
Is it your forever job? Not really sure. Originally my answer was no, but I have great benefits and can retire at 55 which I won't find anywhere else these days.
Is there a different job you'd rather have? If so, what? I'd love to stay in law enforcement but eventually get away from shift work. I'd love to do something like crime analysis or a DA's investigator.
Name one thing you love about your job. I love that I get to help people. I also work with a great group of dispatchers and officers that are like a second family so work is always fun.
Name one thing you hate about your job. It can be emotionally draining to deal with people when they're in the midst of trauma. The risk of burnout or just becoming jaded and having that cross over into personal life is real. Also the shift work, mandatory OT, and working holidays. It works great to minimize childcare but working weekend nights opposite of DH gets rough. I miss a lot or end up skipping sleep. Once I had kids, working the holidays got really hard. Some rotations I've been on shifts where a couple days of the week I only see the kids and DH in passing.

Name one thing you love about your job. I used to drive as part of my job... I feel like I'm saving money having to fill up my tank only once a month. I love being around my kiddo. I love that we stay very busy, do an outing in the community or with other SAHMs each day.
Name one thing you hate about your job. The stay at home part... yeah... nope. Not for me. That's post-nap or in early AM. We have to get out. And I guess finding free worthwhile/educational things to do can be difficult at times (I prefer to not spend money typically when we go out since it's 5 days a week and that's too much for our budget). Winter: it can get a little tough being active.
What was your first job? Cashier at a hardware store
What do you for a living now? SAHM and some part time work from home. I am a CPA and that is what I did before I had my daughter. The part time work helps me at least keep some of the knowledge fresh!

Name one thing you hate about your job. Having to act perky and upbeat no matter how I'm feeling.

@mileswithmyles I am the worst gift wrapper. It looks like a toddler wrapped my presents...and that might be offensive to the toddler.
What was your first job? Similar to @kgj77 I worked as kitchen staff at a summer camp (one I attended growing up). I have ulcerative colitis and had my first serious flare that summer and had to leave camp/work halfway through the summer.
What do you for a living now? I just quit my job in April. I was an engineer at an electric, steam, and gas utility company in NYC. My commute was 3.5 hours roundtrip and we wanted to have kids, so we made the decision for me to quit for now.
Is it your forever job? I am excited to get promoted from housewife to SAHM (fingers crossed). I think some day (when we finish having kids and they are in school), I'll look to do something new.
Is there a different job you'd rather have? If so, what? @craftyG Opening an Etsy shop is my dream too! Not sure what I realistically want to do for a future career.
Name one thing you love about your job. Agree with @lincbeesmom on the all-day PJs. I like that I now have ample time to go to the gym and run errands. And no more horror commute.
Name one thing you hate about your job. It is a little weird not having coworkers or people to hang out with/talk to all day. I am guessing this feeling will be exacerbated with a little one I only speak baby talk to...so we'll see what the future holds.
What was your first job? Besides babysitting my first job was hostess at cosi
What do you for a living now? I am a cardiology nurse on the inpatient/observation chest pain/heart attack floor at my hospital.
Is it your forever job? Probably not I'm looking into management and would like to be then VP of nursing services one day.

Name one thing you hate about your job. Staffing ratios

What was your first job? Aside from babysitting, I worked at a grocery store in high school. I was a front end manager for most of my time there and loved when customers would get upset because they asked for a manager, and I was only 16 so they assumed it wasn't me.
What do you for a living now? I'm a high school math teacher.
Is it your forever job? Most likely, but we will move states in 4 years when we satisfy our vestments in this pension system.
Is there a different job you'd rather have? If so, what? I loved being a nanny. I made really good money and spent many days at museums and walking around Boston. Sadly the area we live in now and will live in later is very poor and rural and a nanny job would not be something I could make a living doing.
Name one thing you love about your job. My students and pushing them to levels they didn't think they could reach.
Name one thing you hate about your job. Parents who think their child is the most perfect and would never do anything wrong, or know they do and don't think there's a problem with it.
What was your first job? A cashier at a landscaping company/plant nursery.
What do you for a living now? Finance Manager for a defense contractor
Is it your forever job? Forever field, not sure about this particular job.
