I woke up to dark brown.spotting this morning and cramps at 9w . 

Please send t&ps that it is something not serious.

Waiting for a call back from my midwife.

    FX everything is ok! I understand spotting is scary but brown spotting is usually old blood and non-concerning. Bright red blood is cause for concern. Hopefully you won't see any red blood. Glad you called your midwife, hopefully she can help reassure you things are well.

    I had brown spotting through most of my first trimester and into my second with DD. All was ok. It was concerning to me but doctors reassured me that old blood is generally ok.

    Hang in there prayers and thoughts sent your way! I bled around 5/6 weeks and was really worried. Luckily seems like things are good. Hopefully all is well.

    Hope yours is ok. I had brown spotting with this one and it was usually after DH & I had sex. Your cervix is super sensitive right now so even having a tough bowel movement can trigger spotting. I'm now 17 weeks and LO is hopping around like he's on the worlds longest sugar binge!

    Ty ladies. Midwife isn't too concerned but may send me in for an u/s to check for low lying placenta.

    Hope it stays stopped! Like everyone else said, I'm sure it's old blood and nothing to worry about, but I know how the mind wanders.... Sending you peaceful, calming vibes.
    History (TW/loss/child):

    7/2017 -- miscarriage at 6w
    5/2018 -- DS born 3 days after due date, 8lb 4oz
    9/2020 -- missed miscarriage at 9w / DNC
    3/2021 -- miscarriage at 8w
    7/2021 -- missed miscarriage at 8w / DNC
    9/2021 -- IVF cycle #1 (FET 1/25/22)

    FX if you do go in to get scanned.  Keep in mind that at this stage, even of you do have a low placenta, it can end up as NBD later.  My DD had a low one at her anatomy scan, but by the time she was done stretching my ute at 35 weeks, it was far enough from the cervix that there were no concerns.
