I'm going to Supercuts to have my hair washed and dried. I haven't washed it since Sunday and I can't trust myself to wash it anytime soon. It looks disgusting and I'm soooo tired.

That actually sounds like an amazing plan for some low key pampering
I'm trying not to be a special snowflake. I moved into my new classroom today and I had to move tables because no one knows I'm pregnant so I couldn't just say no. Now I'm paranoid.

@glitzandglitter they were regular wooden classroom tables. I just hate being new and asking for help. I had someone helping me move them. I lift my 30 pound toddler so I'm probably fine, but definitely makes me anxious

@TeacherMom2015 I've been feeling like people will catch on here as well. I always change the water jug but now I'm skipping it. I make a dumb excuse like telling the guys they look like they need some exercise. Like @glitzandglitter suggested... faking an injury is an easy out. I also recruit a newbie employee to do tasks I don't feel up to doing.
Anyone thinking about going on a babymoon? (I know this is probably a FTM thing. My husband and I usually go away for Thanksgiving and this year I am thinking babymoon. Maybe some overindulgent resort. We want to stay inside the US and not a relatively hot area. Any suggestions for a quick 4 day trip with less than a 4-5 hour plane ride?

We're going to Las Vegas. He originally got me into the idea by convincing me to sign up for the rock n roll half marathon out there, but I don't think I can safely train for that distance with me feeling so horribly right now.
@ivyvines6 Love it! I ran the full in 2010 (ha! Pre-kids when I had time for training). My friends all did the half. The half course was awesome!! Can you roll over your registration for next year? I'm signed up for rock n roll Nashville (April 28th). I'm pretty sure that's not going to happen!

I highly doubt I'm going to be up for half training that quickly after having a baby And I don't think we'll go across country again for a while. SO hates traveling.
@ivyvines6 and @roomsu the Vegas R&R was my first half! I did it in 2011, the first year they moved it to a night race, and it was kind of a cluster. We went back the following year and did it again and it was much better. The course is so fun and the energy of the race is amazing. @ivyvines6 you might be able to walk a good chunk of it. The also do a full, so the course limit is pretty forgiving.
@justsuzie we aren't doing a babymoon per se, but our anniversary is at the end of October and we're talking about going to Williamsburg for the weekend

DH and I are thinking of going to Vegas or LA for a weekend. But not because of this. We want to go because we have never been on a real vacation, just us. We didn't get to go on our honeymoon because my grandmother passed away a couple of months before our wedding and we used those savings for the trip home for the funeral. We got pregnant within a couple of months of getting married so we just haven't had the chance. I think we should do it. I'm just super cheap. Vegas and LA are both pretty quick trips for us though being in the Rockies. Maybe we'll try for early December or January.
I felt like a terrible mom today. DS was sent home with a paper to put pictures of his family on for school. We got it before Labor Day weekend and then I was so sick that I just forgot. I finally did it last night and he brought it in today and his teacher told me he has been saying "I wish mommy would do my red paper so I can share at group time." Ugh! :'(
@mileswithmyles stuff/life happens. Labor Day wasn't that long ago and you are pregnant and not feeling well. The teacher shouldn't have told you he was saying that. No need to make you feel bad. You got it done, showing you are a great mommy
@mileswithmyles My daughter has gone to the same daycare since she was 4 months. Every year they ask for family photos to put up in the room. My daughter is always the kid that doesn't have a family picture collage. I don't even have a good excuse except life. At least you got it done!
@mileswithmyles thank you for mentioning that! I've got sight words to do with DS tonight and if I don't send his shirt order form tomorrow he's not going to get one! ugh pregnancy brain and littles make life complicated lol

@mileswithmyles yeah I feel like I'm pretty much going to suck at this period of my kid's life where I have to do homework for him... and I'm probably going to be the one that makes bitchy comments to the teacher saying that I graduated over a decade ago and I've already done my time.

It's probably also an unpopular opinion to say that if a kid is old enough to be doing homework then he's old enough to be responsible for it.
Our school district recently made a ruling that you could not send homework home with a child in any grade before sixth grade. They do make an exception for projects and math sheets if I child is struggling. They're also doing mandatory daily recess because the system for the past five or so years has been one 30 minute recess on a Friday and teachers reserve the right to cancel that recess if a child did not turn in homework throughout the week or had behavior problems. We used to have some of the highest scoring schools in our state until they started implementing these problems so hopefully this turnaround is going to help with that.
@mileswithmyles I agree with PP, don't beat yourself up. At least you got it done, and the teacher shouldn't have told you that. He/she had to have known it would just make you feel guilty.

@justsuzie we really want to head to Italy in December, but my husband may start a new job, my aunt (who I am closer to than my mother) is on hospice, I am switching to a new group at work, etc. I think I just won't be able to fully enjoy a big trip like that. May do what you are thinking and stick to something closer to home. That being said, I am determined to get to Italy next fall and plan to get some good use out of my Solly Wrap on that trip. My parents used to travel with us a lot as babies, they said that its actually easiest when baby is young (i.e. not squirming/wanting to run around). Maybe I am just a naive FTM, but I am willing to give it a shot.
@ivyvines6 DS has had homework almost everyday since the 1st week of kindergarten. He's in his second week of 1st grade now. It's been better so far this year, but it's coming. Right now it's minor word study stuff. Not everyone gets to wait until they're old enough to be responsible for it. Then DSS only has it certain night (different school district, second week of 3rd grade) but even at 8.5, if it were left to him to be solely responsible for it, he'd fail sadly

Target's having a baby sale y'all. Plus, you can go in and get a welcome bag if you start a registry (you could probably just tell them you did and they wouldn't even check) and there's coupons in there, too.
Well Isaac told the sitter today. I went to pick them up and she said, I heard a lot of interesting things today. She's really excited for me and we don't hang out in the same circles so I'm not really worried about her knowing but dang kid, it was a secret!
I went by the tire store today on my way to Target to buy all the baby things that I don't need. When they told me I had to replace my brand new tire because it can't be fixed I burst into tears. Our dryer (which is only a few years old) went out the other day. I need a break. I'm so overwhelmed with things happening one after another.
@kpc914 . Dh wants to do the Euro thing but I told him that's prob not going to happen for a while. I can't imagine being on a plane that long anytime while pregnant. But, I have heard that the 2nd tri is like the best time in some ladies lives! I just started with MS so I don't even think I want to plan a trip anymore in case I am one of the unlucky ones where it lasts past first tri. My bf has MS her entire pg. Have you been to Italy before?
