Re: Weekly Symptoms Thread | 9.11

  • Starting with the hip discomfort... bothers me when sitting all day at work, and then challenging to stay comfortable at night.  Busted out my Snoogle this weekend but I swear I can't remember how I used it in my last pregnancy and can't seem to get comfortable yet!
  • Loading the player...
  • Lower back pain, oh my god if I make the slightest movement my lower right side just has a spasm, I have to think twice about how to walk and move around at night so it doesn't hurt! I move around like a turtle lol
Second best would have to be crazy dreams, they just don't stop and get crazier and crazier, can't even talk to H about them anymore....haha
And I'm pretty sure I'm hairier

Is it just me or is time flying though?:) almost half way already!

  • I also forgot to mention low blood sugar, but I like this one, yes it makes me feel a little lazy but I eat chocolate all day long and don't even feel bad :)

Nausea off and on. Vomited this morning. Sigh. I'm over it. And my toddler shared her cold with me. Exhausted. Back pain and some RLP. Also feels like I can never empty my bladder all the way. I remember this with my first but much later.
    Lilypie Pregnancy tickers
  • Ugh the nausea.  Pregnancies withDS1 and DS2 were easy except the hip pain.  I still get random nausea and so far no real second tri energy boost or libido return.  I'm just sick and tired and my hips hurt.  At bedtime I just want to shower then roll over and pass out.  Then the dreams start.  These pregnancy dreams are nuts!
  • Crazy dreams. So much worse this go around.  I fee like I don't get a good night sleep  The RLP isn't too bad but it's there.  My appetite is all over the place. I don't have cravings or aversions, just no interest in food but I'm starving some days and don't care the next. In all honesty I really can't complain because overall I'm feeling pretty good.
  • Same as everyone else! Every morning, I check to see if my boobs have gotten bigger. And then I get disappointed. They definitely feel fuller, just not a large increase. I was so looking forward to this!

This was me a few weeks ago. It was caused my muscle spasms so I think @hr1116 you should get a massage and use heat and ice pads. If possible even a physiotherapist. I was walking like a turtle also so I know how you feel.
  • 1. I am ravenously hungry (I want a thick sandwich or biscuits with sausage gravy)... hungry for comfort foods.

    2. Pubic bone pain- forget what this is called but its like my bones are rubbing together and then separating... feels lovely... sigh...

    3. Fatigue- I am tired... often...

Honestly, I feel thankful that other than the top three, I feel really good overall.

This! I thought we were supposed to get this miraculous burst of energy in our second trimesters!

@RSaini I just got my first massage yesterday at a place that specialises in pregnancy
I'm hoping to go back tomorrow and go regularly
I will try the ice pads too!
    Thank you :)

I'm also disappointed in my boobs, i don't get huge ones when pregnant or nursing, and they are lopsided from so many years of nursing and co sleeping...

On the plus side,  they never leak when nursing,  maybe the same will be true for you?

  • I went to the gym yesterday for the first time in two weeks, I just walked on the treadmill on an incline for 40 minutes. I was completely wiped out after, I groaned when I got up off the couch at home because my whole body was dead. Anyone else have that feeling after exercise? I also had lower ab pain around the incision from my myomectomy last year while I was walking. Any C-section moms have issues with incision pain combined with exercise in pregnancy?

  • @mamaof5already - very good point! I'll have to wait and see!
  • Is it pregnancy brain when I close the same word document I've been working on all day like 3 times without saving. UGH.
  • I was doing pretty well with symptoms, but with all the hurricane craziness I am once again a mess...  my neck is achy from couch sleeping, my back is sore from debris/tree cleanup, and I cannot seem to eat or drink enough to be satisfied.

I have been eating all day and even when my stomach feels super full, I still have that ravenous feeling. And we got power back yesterday, so it's not like i'm overheating or crazy burning calories today. Good news is everything sounds and tastes amazing these last few days, too!

I'm still waiting on that energy kick too!

Also I am starving at times too. Like... The thought "hey, I could eat" morphs over five or ten seconds into "FEED ME NOW. PLZ."
  • My ongoing symptom is a constant stuffed nose! It has been over a month and it is like I have a cold
but the only symptom is a plugged up nose!! It's not been fun!
My new symptom are headaches! By the end of the work day I always get a headache! Hoping that diesnt last!

This just hit in full force this week for me! I'm not sure if it's pregnancy related or a cold. A cold wouldn't surprise me since school is back in session and elementary aged kids don't believe in covering their mouths when they sneeze or cough. Ahhh the germ pit that is an elementary school.

Idk where you ladies live, but allergy season is also shifting if you have allergies. That on top of "rhinitis of pregnancy" is a doozy.
  • Lmao felt the baby and the lighting crotch yesterday. Gotta have some bad with the good right.

I live in Canada and my allergies are bad with harvest right now. So I think it is just an awful combination of everything! I am constantly sneezing and needing to blow my nose, which again doesn't actually help me at all!

DH bought me belly buds to play music for Baby Groot. He put it on the Bob Marley station and I kid you not the kid is moving around like crazy to No Woman No Cry. Lol

The movement is making the "I have to pee" feeling worse.

  • Well, this is a bit late but my boobs have only just started hurting. And they have grown in size! Not as much as my first pregnancy at this point though. Also feeling the baby moving occasionally now, which has been so lovely! Makes a nice change from the harder symptoms!
  • Finally, a good side-effect: my eye lashes are thicker/more visible. I finally have eye lashes! Is this hormones or the prenatal?

Heartburn! It was so bad yesterday, I almost vomited in the middle of Target

@hr1116 awesome! You will be feeling better in no time! I had 5 sessions and I haven't gone back since! Now I just do prenatal yoga and feel great!
  • Baby really moved yesterday and so much so that it was sticking out on one side of my lower abdomen. It felt amazing!
Have the anatomy scan tomorrow and I am so excited! But we won't be finding out the gender for another month since my sister is throwing us a gender reveal party. I wish I had more energy though.
  • @SarahFoley725 The other night I told DH that I really wanted sparkling apple cidar. He chuckled and went back to watching tv. It took 10 minutes of staring at him before he finally understood "that's my cue to go to the store."

  • My belly doesn't fit under my desk comfortably anymore.

@rainafire77 I'm jealous of your craving. I can eat ground turkey and chicken now, but I still have aversions to red meat.
  • @ash0625 no red meat for me either!
  • @ash0625 @magnolia305 I don't normally eat red meat but my husband loves steak. I think it's his genes breaking through.

  • If someone would be so kind as to bring me a nice juicy filet, grilled prawns with melted garlic butter and a loaded baked potato you will be my best friend and I will love you forever.

I literally just called my husband after I read this, so that he will bring me home a steak.

DH gave me a side-eye when I told him his kid makes steak look gross.

Also...guys...I am trying SO hard to be "in tune" with myself enough to feel this baby move, that my arm muscle just spazzed and my first thought was "THAT WAS THE BABY" before I realized the movement was in my damn arm. Sigh.
I will tell you the best time I can feel the baby is lying down in the evening. Occasionally I'll feel him/her during the day but it's way more noticeable in the evening.
