  • I'm always surprised when I check back after a few hours and not much has happened. Maybe we just don't have a lot of people yet?
  • I feel like it's slow too. On my previous BMBs things moved like lightening.
  • Same. Hoping it picks up but I feel like we also have a really good group right now. So if it stays slow, it will be okay.
  • @sandbar517 My lack of interaction during the week is definitely due to work. I'm taking some time off today because I had some free time and I feel like yakking lol
  • @charlestonchew Yeah, my bumping is actually much easier at work, since I have slow weeks when I don't have many (or any) patients scheduled, and then I just want something to distract me from boring stuff I could be doing, but don't want to!

  • @sparkymcgeee sorry you're having a bad day.  I hate Mom Guilt.  Don't worry, he's young, they're baby teeth.  They aren't permanent.  Hugs to you.

  • More than half of us who will be here don't know they are pregnant yet. I didn't find the BMB and didn't participate until I was ending the first trimester last time.
  • I've been thinking about lunch since I finished breakfast....
  • Old wives tales say girls steal your beauty... so with the 5 pimples that have taken over my face, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say this baby is a girl.
I also keep having dreams this baby is a girl.

Also, my dreams are whack and I'd like for them to chill out a bit.

It's slow to me too. Not used to it but I'm sure we'll pick up some more.

I'm at the dentist with my four year old. He hates brushing. It's a fight. Well his teeth proved that. He has a cavity in all his molars. I feel like a terrible mom.
My girls have bad teeth. Their mouths are so small, there is barely enough room for their baby teeth. My oldest has a bunch of "about to be cavities" spots in between her teeth because I never remember to floss. Oops.

Also, my youngest has a hard time with tooth brushing (thanks, sensory issues) and we call her piranha when it comes to tooth brushing time.

  • I just finished my book. Anyone have any recommendations for a good read that won't make me cry.
  • I am hoping it picks up some too. Usually during the week (in the daytime) kindergarten keeps me pretty busy but I try to get on when I can.

I'm reading 11.22.63 by Stephen King. It's not like Shining Stephen King. It's more like Shawshank. Hasn't been scary. And it's super good.

  • @sparkymcgeee and @momo214 I LOVED 11.22.63.  Although, with no spoilers, I bawled at the end of the book.
  • @sparkymcgeee Ooh thanks!! I'll check into that.

Did you watch it on Hulu? If so is it really different?

  • Kroger was out of Trolli sour gummies worms and the off brand suck. Not a happy pregnant lady.
  • @sparkymcgeee the Hulu series cut out a lot. I liked the book a lot more.

I noticed that so far. I loved the show so that's why I started reading the book. I'm about 500 pages in.

  • The Stand was really good too, but the ending was really disappointing. Very duex ex machina for my tastes... I couldn't finish the Gunslingner series though. I got about half way through the fifth book and gave up. Too much scanning. Same reason why I'm not a "huge" Tolkien fan.
  • @yesthisiskim0401.  When would one start flossing their child's teeth?

    Asking for a friend.

We started around 3.5 or so trying to make sure we flossed his teeth at least every other night. We got the kids floss picks and the work pretty well.

I would start sooner if I could go back in time. My 4yo just had two baby root canals and two cavities filled yesterday because I didn't floss between his molars right from the start. He turned 4 in July.

I second all these ladies. My kids mouths are tight so cavities are more likely to happen between their teeth. Start asap. We also have the pick ones - I don't care how expensive they are, if it gets my kids to floss/let me floss, I'm all about that. I'd rather pay $5 for some stupid picks than hundreds on cavities.
