Welcome all newbies! This board is meant for anyone who has at least one child, and is struggling with infertility TTC a sibling, and is geared towards woman in active treatment cycles (IUI,IVF, Etc)

Here are a few considerations we ask you to take before joining this board.

Make an intro post, tell us who you are, and whatever you feel comfortable sharing about your IF journey.

We would prefer people not to join the board during the 2ww of a cycle.

- We would also prefer people not to join during their first treatment (medicated) cycle, which has a high possibility of pregnancy: however, we do realize these are the times you need the most support, which brings us to our next consideration- (If you must join at this time)

You have to give support to receive support. This is an amazing group of ladies, that are incredibly supportive to one an another, and like anyone, we get offended when we are used for support, and ignored when we need support ourselves.

Think of this as a support group you would join in person. If you were sitting with a group of women struggling with infertility, you wouldn't want to bogart that time by talking ONLY about yourself. It's sad that we have to ask that people acknowledge this, but it happens surprisingly frequently.

Also, for good measure, we can not tell you if you are pregnant at any time. If you suspect you are pregnant, take a pregnancy test.

Follow the directions included with that test.

There is a time frame for which all tests are valid, you can find that specific time frame in the instructions included with your test. When you take a test, read the results during that specific time frame, if it is negative, THROW IT IN THE TRASH.

If you view your negative pregnancy test at a later time, see some sort of result other than what was there DURING the tiemframe- that is called an evaporation line. ALL tests other than DIGITAL pregnancy tests, have the potential to make evaporation lines .

If you happen to take a test the following day which is positive (even if it is the same exact brand), your previous test was STILL an evaporation line, and it's a coincidence that your subsequent tests are positive.

Please be considerate of the fact that you are on an INFERTILITY board. If you get a BFP you know we are all happy for you and wishing you success with your pregnancy. But keep a few things in mind:

#1) Please post BFP announcements in a NEW thread with a BFP Warning in the header

#2) If you want to hang us with us until you get your first beta, we are totally ok with that, we are even ok with you hanging around for a 2nd beta if your first one is on the low side [ <100 ] and you want to make sure it doubles appropriately.

#3) If you think you might need to stick around the IF board beyond the point of Betas please REFRAIN from announcing your pregnancy until you feel more comfortable moving on to your next board.

#4) If you've had 2 or more amazing betas it's time to move on to your choice pregnancy board. There's no reason to hang around the IF board beyond this point.

Knocked Up (winter, spring, summer, fall) Madness Olympics AKA KUSMO, KUFMO, KUWMO is a game we play on the board (weekly) share your cycle status, and get a gold medal when you get KU. You can join the game during your SECOND active cycle ON THE BOARD, and onward. It's a great way for everyone to share support for one another!
