@chasingroygbiv that is ridiculous. I think the average woman knows exactly what it feels like to have a UTI. It is the worst discomfort imaginable. it can also intensify quickly and go from a minor infection to a serious one in an instant. They want you to wait the entire weekend? Are they worried abot the effects of antibiotics on your pregnancy? because if it gets worse that's what they will need to use to treat you anyways.
I'm sorry- I don't mean to rant. I jyst hate when doctors don't take pain or discomfort seriously and just brush it off and tell you to essentially wait for it to get worse. I'm sorry you have to go through this
I would be so upset @chasingroygbiv I'm currently battling a raging UTI/Bladder infection. It was just a minor UTI on Thursday afternoon, woke up with blood and clots in my urine this morning, less than 48hrs after initial symptoms presented. Azo is a class B med though, same class as the meds they would prescribe you. Can you go grab some to help? And some cranberry juice while you are at it? Hope you get to feeling better soon, UTIs are the pits
UTI's suuuck. I feel your pain. I used to get them all the time.
Soo, I'm 11w6d now. I'm pretty sure I feel my uterus stretching. Not painful, just weird.
Sorry to all the ladies with nausea. I consider myself sooo lucky to not have gotten any yet.
Constipation? Check. Hemorrhoids? Check. Although the ointment really did help. And I'm trying to be good and add more fruits and veggies but it's so hard (no pun intended) when all I want are carbs! (And not the whole wheat kind)
I've got another UTI. I had one, took antibiotics (and suffered the side effects), and only got a break for a couple of days. This one seems worse. Arrrgh
I am so sorry for all of your dealing with UTI's. A friend of mine is due this month and she's has back to back UTI's her entire pregnancy!!! I really hope that isn't the case for anyone here!!!!
Thanks, ladies. It's definitely frustrating especially since they said my last UA was questionable as well and the bacteria has since increased, just nothing else. I just don't want this to continue to worsen and end up harming baby. Ughhh.
So my job takes me off the 11 hour shifts. And instead puts me on 6 days a week on "slightly" shorter shifts. I'm at the end of my rope. Anyone hiring near Houston? Lol
I'm in the boat of having a cold and I feel like my head might explode from all the pressure. With all the mouth breathing I have to do it's making my throat scratchy. What hot tea do people like? I'm not a huge tea drinker but I would like a little relief.
Add me to the cold from hell club. I finally stopped throwing up constantly and immediately got the worst cold I've had in YEARS. @katester91 I don't usually like hot tea, but I find that a good lemongrass tea is the easiest for me to drink. If you're comfortable taking medicine, Tylenol cold and flu is pregnant lady safe.
Thanks everyone! This is a terrible cold! My son is sick too so I think I got it from him. @ShawnnaO someone else told me that also I'll have to get some tomorrow. I go to the OB tomorrow also so I was going to ask them for a new med list. I already lost the one they gave me. Hopefully we can all be feeling better soon.
14 weeks and feeling nausea and super anxiety. The anxiety is new, and I don't know if it's a true symptom, but I'm feeling it despite nothing to be anxious about.
I seriously hate cramps. I know they're completely normal. But they really do a number on my PGAL brain!
They're really starting to make me nervous too, and I've had some amount of cramping on and off pretty much the whole pregnancy so far. But now it's up to definite round ligament pain, plus this uncomfortable pulling-sort of pain right below my belly button. Its not even especially painful, but its still uncomfortable enough that I'm spending a lot of my free time laying down. Started right at the 13 week mark though, and I'm not having any other signs that its outside the norm, but still, aaack.
@calecorvus, our bodies are going through so many changes that I know all of this is normal. I had cramps 2 days last week and was convinced something was wrong. But we saw a beautiful baby and strong heartbeat on Friday. I have no reason to be nervous. Stupid PGAL brain is horrible!
@sarah_haha760 depending on what state you live in, your employer may be required to provide you with reasonable accommodations during your pregnancy (including hours adjustments and more frequent breaks).
