@pregobeth I have been absolutely wrecking the cottage cheese. I have it with fruit for my pre-lunch. MH eats it and he keeps buying it and I make it disappear.
I think I've turned a corner with aversions, guys! So exciting. I'm still eating mostly bagels and fruit but yesterday I had a tiny bit of salad and fish and it was OK!! So happy to be getting something more healthy in.
I had some steel cut oats over the weekend for the first time in months. I was sad that we didn't have raisins in the house though. It was a milestone for me!

And I know I could heat it up. But I want a COLD sandwich!!!!!
Could you heat it first and then let it get cold? Or does that not solve the issue? I don't eat deli meat to begin with so I don't know the specifics of this pregnancy rule, but I feel for you! I want a runny poached egg so bad!
I did cave and get a cold cut assorted from a nearby deli ONE TIME and it was Exactly what u needed. I still crave them but I figured once was enough. I did get a meatball sub the other day and it was surprisingly satisfying - maybe for you too?
side note - I have eaten like total crap today. so much sugar. I now feel terrible and it was so not worth the momentary satisfaction. blah
@shawnnaO, I'm pretty sure that's like prime what you're not supposed to do. But I could be wrong lol I don't know the details of it either actually.
@bb3vj3n, I've definitely been tempted to cave once or twice. *TW* But my PGAL brain screams "Don't do it!" or I think I'll regret it the rest of my life if something happens this pregnancy. I tend to have a very "blaming" attitude towards myself for my losses. It's something I'm constantly working on with myself. *End TW*
@justkeeptrying it's NEVER your fault. If it helps at all, in my last pregnancy no one ever told me about the deli meat thing and I ate jimmy johns pretty frequently just because they delivered and my husband was gone a lot. My daughter is healthy and about to turn one. Or maybe heat the meat and then put lots of cold toppings on it so you're still kind of getting that cold-cut sandwich with the warm meat?
Would a chicken salad/tuna salad sandwich from somewhere help the craving? I had a tuna salad wrap from Which Wich the other day and it was wonderful.
@justkeeptrying I admire how self aware you are. The blaming sucks. It's a way of life for me and at the same time it hurts me when I read it from my fellow mama sisters. It doesn't help that reproductive medicine starts with Mom, giving us the idea that "blame" clearly lies with us.
Keep doing that good work of taking care of yourself. And if in the meanwhile, take credit for your victories! Blame can't always win here
This! If y'all have a sweet tooth(I do all the time), and are trying to eat paleo or somewhat healthy, I'd highly recommend these! I made them the other night, my husband is always saying what are you making now, when I've got all the crazy ingredients out. Well he loved them and went back for seconds! They taste like brownie mix. So so good! https://therealfoodrds.com/grain-free-sweet-potato-avocado-brownie-bites-recipe/ hope that link works

Oh my, those look amazing! Thank you for the link.
Cottage cheese!! I haven't had cottage cheese since I was a little girl and my mom forced me to try it.. but I was grocery shopping the other day and when I saw it, I knew I NEEDED it. I never liked it before but it tasted sooo good. Such an odd impulse buy lol
And I know I could heat it up. But I want a COLD sandwich!!!!!
I wasn't eating any at all but when I went in for my first appointment, my doctor said it was completely ok. She said the chance of listeria in the US is so slim that if I want deli meat, to go for it. I just bought a pound of maple glazed chicken breast a few days ago and it was exactly what I needed.
@ShawnnaO and @barrelocarol, thank you both. I totally know I am not to blame, but it's a work in progress to actually not let those self-blame feelings creep back in. *TW* Especially after having 2 losses back to back. *End TW* Even though I have a healthy 2 year old DS. I just don't want to do anything to hurt this baby!
@barrelocarol I have mine with fruit--usually berries or pineapple.
I haven't had it lately because I don't want to make the house smell and I wasn't one of the people talking about soup before, but I make chicken bone broth pretty regularly and it's awesome.
@barrelocarol I'm a soup girl !! I usually make it. A fave of mine is Portuguese kale soup. I also like chicken soup. Butternut squash and split pea and ham.
From a box i I like tomato
most of the time i put rice rice or pasta in it
last weekend i just had to have clam chowder with tobacco.

Clam chowder with tobacco???
***March '18 October Siggy Challenge: Halloween Costume Fails***
@barrelocarol I like cottage cheese either plain or savory. So, when feeling fancy: some combo of diced cucumber (no seeds), black pepper, fresh minced herbs, toasted almonds, etc etc. AMAZING!
@ShawnnaO it's like... creamy/salty yogurtish? sort of? To me, the texture is more palatable than yogurt, which I only tolerate when mixed with crunchy things. I don't like the low fat varieties. Get 4% or higher!
Grilled cheese for days. I got my kids hooked on them too now. We used a whole loaf of bread in less than a week (usually takes us over a week) due to my new obsession. Dinner was basically a grilled cheese with a veggie burger patty stuffed in the middle and a big bowl of TJs creamy tomato soup. It tasted like heaven!
I left class two hours early on Thursday evening to go get pizza. Two large Donato's pepperoni pizza; one for my husband and toddler and one for me. I'm currently finishing theirs. No shame. It hit the spot.

And soup ladies, let's talk about what soups you're having! Are you buying or making them?

So tasty, we re-named them "nomnom peppers".
@HappyMonkey817 It was me! Thank you!
To the cottage ladies - Im going to try some cottage cheese. It's usually kind of icky but maybe preg mouth will change that.
Side note: Though I'm loving soup right now, Pollo's soup was mediocrity in a bowl.
