  • Hi, friends! FTM with an EDD Jan 11. Finding out the gender next month (August 18th)! SO and I think it's a boy, but excited either way. We're both pretty young (I have some college but am taking a gap year now and he's a college grad), but parents know and are supportive!
  • Hello ladies!

I got my BFP May 4th. My EDD is Jan 16th. We find out if LO is a boy or a girl around Aug 28th! I am a FTM. DH and I are still kind of shocked about it as we were not necessarily trying but the universe works in mysterious ways! Nonetheless, we are super excited!
  • (PS I changed my name here and also just checked the knot and it's changed too. Not sure why I'm still a knottie... Any tips or maybe just wait??)

  • Hello everyone
  • What? Where did the rest of my post go?
  • @bellfine Hi! I'm in England! Only for another month and a half, but I'm going to miss it when we leave.
  • Hi @bellfine !! Ive got a son that just turned 5 too and expecting a daughter (either late Dec or early Jan!) Nice to see someone else in the same boat!
  • Hello All, I'm a FTM. We are due January 24th, right after my 30th birthday.  So it is going to be a great gift.  Happy to be joining the rest of the January mommies on here, and congrats to all.
  • Hello! I'm excited to be a FTM at 32. I'm due January 30th. Cheers, to all the FTM! Have a happy, healthy pregnancy!

    DS2: Jan. 2016

    Baby #4 on the way!
  • Hi @seltzerinstead!  I'm expecting mo/di twins also.  It's fine to post here.  I'm "bimonthly" myself, and post here and in December.  My technical due date is Jan 2, but they'll arrive in December (or maybe November, or even maybe October-- October is where they'll be viable).

There is a world of information about mo/di twins that I've leaned since getting pregnant.  Do you do facebook?  There's a huge mo/di twins page there, and a smaller group for mo/di pregnancy (for people currently pregnant).  You can learn a lot about the risks and realities of this kind of pregnancy.  And however scary the risks may seem, you can connect with people who have gone through it.  I love seeing all the chubby little 1-year-olds who started out as the tiniest of preemies.  For me, it helps normalize things, so if my babies arrive a little earlier and smaller than I'd like, I can have faith in their resilience.  And a lot of us manage to carry to the 35-37 week zone, and the scary stuff doesn't happen at all (lots of babies skip the NICU, lots of vaginal births).  And it's way cute to see the photos of all the identical twin toddlers and kids.

There are a few other mo/di moms in this group, too.  Welcome!
Me- 39 (turning 40 in April), TTC for the first time ever (since Jan 2015), low ovarian reserve
Married 3/14/14 to my wonderful wife, but her sperm count is rather low
TTC with frozen donor sperm and science

    7 IUIs, 7 BFNs.
2 IVF attempts, both cancelled and converted to IUI, both BFNs.
Decided that my tired old ovaries are ready to retire.
Next step- reciprocal IVF, using my wife's eggs, my uterus!
fresh 5 day transfer (2 embryos) 4/17/17- BFP!
Identical twins "due" 1/2/17 (but anticipated arrival sometime December)

  • Thanks so much @KLake42 ! I've definitely read some scary stuff, but I know I just have to assume everything will be good, and if we end up in the NICU for a little bit, then ok. I am on Facebook and will definitely check out the groups there once I've told the rest of my friends and coworkers about the pregnancy. Thanks again!
  • I'm Kayla! Due January 31! STM, DS is 14 months! Looking forward to learning more about everyone!
  • I do not remember my BFP, but found out two days after my missed period. My EDD is January 12th and this is the first child for my husband and I. I am currently 19 weeks and am feeling much better after over 3 months of all day sickness.
  • @bkbaby18 Oh wow!!! We should definitely connect! Would love to have a single mom buddy!!
  • Hi everyone! I know I'm REALLY late to the party but I'm never on time anyway

Hi there! I'm also late to the party and my name is Katie (but if there's multiple Katies, then you can call me Kit). I'm a FTM and hubby and I are really excited for our first kid! We are both on the fence about which one we want (I want a girl and he wants a boy), but we'll be happy to have anything! Really, we're just glad that it's not multiples as twins run on both sides and his mom was a triplet. I am 17 weeks though and we find out the gender next week (baby is due January 30th). So, we'll know soon! Also I'm in Pensacola, FL.

This may be a silly question, but how do I change my user name?

Welcome! You have to log in to the knot website to change your username. Log out and then back into the bump, and the change should take!
  • Thanks so much!
