GTKY: Name a few books you could read over and over - I am admittedly not an avid reader, but I love "The Art of Racing in the Rain". And it made me cry ugly tears.
@emmasemm. Yay for IVF countdown! @SkilledSailor what are you having done to your hair? I love having mine done. @nitnat007. I am so excited for everything to be clean. Our sidewalk and patio are gross, so I'm going to blast them, too.
@jrm_14 Haha power washing is so satisfying! It's instant results! I died my hair silver/grey a few months ago so I go in once a month to get it touched up now.
@emmasemm Oh Black Beauty is a good one! I use to love that book.
@nitnat007 Yay for a day with no boss! Also, love that book. I definitely cried too.
WAYDTGKU: At this point I'm waiting for H to get his SA done from months ago. He's being frustrating.
R/R: I haven't slept well in over a week because H keeps insisting we let the cats sleep in our room and they jump all over me and fight and he sleeps through it and I don't and now I'm grumpy.

GTKY: Name a few books you could read over and over.
The Outsiders, the Angels Trilogy by Lurlene McDaniel, Hey Nostradamus.
@kiwi2628 I'd love to hear more about the fertility yoga! @jrm_14 Yay for good sleep! And the power washer actually does sound like fun. @emmasemm I remember loving Black Beauty as a kid, but I haven't read it in years! R/R: No rant today. You guys, my acupuncturist is so awesome! It's so refreshing to have someone take a holistic view of my health, and not just focus on one specific issue. Her treatment recommendations include food, exercise, supplements, etc., not just what she can charge me for. Has anyone here ever taken any Chinese herbs, either for ttc or something else? She recommended one to me, and I'm going to give it a try, but I'm always a skeptic.
CS/Q: No questions, but here's my chart for stalking!
GTKY: Name a few books you could read over and over So many! Anything by Neil Gaiman (esp. Neverwhere and American Gods), Harry Potter, The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern, all Jane Austen's books, Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones, and many, many more. I love to re-read good books!
@nitnat007 Ouch! Liquid nitrogen is no fun. @Augusta108 Sorry about cd 1! And totally agree with you on The Hobbit! Plus the Lord of the Rings trilogy. @Dilynne Same in our house with the kitties! Most of the time one sleeps on the bed and the other downstairs, but occasionally they fight (usually on my feet) and MH sleeps through it. Sigh.
@kiwi2628 OMG me too on twilight... @jrm_14 i would definitely geek out over powerwashing--have fun. @emmasemm ooo...i should read black beauty again, we read it as a family when i was little. @SkilledSailor Yay for a great day without rants and for getting your hair done. @nitnat007 yes--so many ugly tears on that book, even my husband had tears in his eyes when he read it. @Augusta108 i'm sorry for CD1 and the migraine.

But i hate the costcos out here--there are always so many people and everyone is just so rude.
CS/Q: will it change my two open circle temps to solid now that i learned how to set my default wake up time? Also, I think this thermometer is fake--the past 3 days of temping have been 96.81,96.81, 96.80. I just feel like it can't be that consistent. I guess time will tell.
GTKY: Name a few books you could read over and over Tom Sawyer is my best answer, but admittedly i reach the hunger games series over and over and still expect different outcomes.
@Dilynne i hope YH gets the SA done soon. MH is the same way but the first year of trying has been getting me to ovulate and now that i am we're trying for 3 months and if still not KU then i'll make him get a SA. @darkstar42 your acupuncturist sounds amazing. i might need her info!
@augusta108. Sorry for CD1 Picoult books are typically ugly cry books. There isn't a bad one! @Dilynne. I'm the jerk in our marriage that lets the kitten sleep in our bed. MH grumbles about it, but when I offer to shut her out of the room he is all, "Welllll, it's whatever...m" like he will miss her but doesn't want to admit it @blackhottamales. I miss Costco. We only have Sam's where I live currently. Costco pizzas are good, too! Do you eat the chicken plain or put it in things? It is pretty delish both ways.
@jrm_14 both. I usually eat it plain the first night and then put it in a sandwich or salad the second day. it's so good! the pizza is good but i usually try to avoid because, you know greasy pizza...

Around me, they are hella expensive so I'm kinda glad I cant take them! @blackhottamales my temps are up and down the first few days of the cycle, but as I get into my fertile window or closer to O I have a series of stable temps all in a line, so its possible to have that happen. @Stargazer1lily I remember being totally creeped out by the flowers in the attic series as a tween!

@Dilynne I feel you on the cat thing. We have two cats and they demand food between 4am and 5am or if I'm up for an extended period at any point during the night. When we don't give into their demands they start trying to destroy things. DH sleeps through that (and usually anything else waking me up/keeping me up at night) It's exhausting.
@darkstar42 I'm glad you like your acupuncturist! I haven't done it myself, but I'm intrigued by the whole experience, so I hope you continue to share how it goes! I need to read more Neil Gaiman, and I also love Jane Austen!
@lalala2004. We won't discuss my list of gift ideas I provided MH that includes a new air purifier, a mouse pad for my office, and shelving for our bathroom. Adulting CAN be fun! @marcus7676. Literally all of them. Especially My Sister's Keeper, though. @MLS6212. I would be SO SAD if I thought I would be eating a doughnut & I ended up not. @dragonette505. Yay for stating stims! @blackhottamales I have straight up yelled at people in Costco parking lots on two separate occasions (omg... I'm that person)... I don't have road rage, just Costco parking lot rage!! Sometimes people just need to hear it... I hate going there. Brings out the worst in me. but obvz I've never left the safety of my car...
@darkstar42 glad to hear you're happy with your acupuncturist! Don't have any experience with Chinese herbs - but I hear you on the skepticism...that's always my default as well.
@jrm_14 It was really sad. I had gestational diabetes with my son so there's a pretty good chance I'll have it with subsequent pregnancies. So right now I'm like carbs carbs carbs!

@canucklehead123. I jumped abord the train and am trying seed cycling. Aldi's has a pumpkin-flax granola that I love I have been adding my ground P&F seeds to this cycle. ETA: @canucklehead123. Do you have any certain ways you consume all the seeds?
@jrm_14 awesome! I must say, my last two cycles were SOOO long (there was a lot of stress/travel involved etc.), but this cycle is back to its normal length! I know there are a lot of factors involved, but I can't help but think the seed cycling played some role...so far I highly recommend (and also because hey, there are so many great nutrients in all the seeds)!
@marcus7676 you didn't like American gods and run out immediately after and read Anansi boys? Just kidding!! lol
@lalala2004 OMG! How did I leave out the little house series (I like to re read it in the fall for some reason)
@jrm_14 weeell... the short draft is I will be taking shots of three or 4 different things to stimulate my ovaries to hopefully mature a bunch of eggs that will be fertilized and hopefully get put back in my ute at some point (the long story i'm happy to give the deets on if you like!) lol
@jrm_14 sorry didn't see the last question - I have a smoothie every morning and the seeds just go right into the blender... I also add my maca powder, avocado or full fat yogurt (depending on what's in the fridge), blueberries, spinach...all the foods that the internet tells me are good for fertility. I also invested in a good plant-based protein powder with no sweeteners to go in as well... I find the combo of seeds, protein, fruit & veg and fats keep me pretty full and don't usually have to eat until 11:30a or so (that's if I have smoothie around 7:15a). Did that answer your question or were you asking something else?
@dragonette505 The way to prevent these scary Costco run-ins with me is: 1. drive like a responsible human being in the parking lot and 2. drive like a responsible human being in the parking lot. LOL which I'm sure you do!
@dragonette505 Thanks for the quick&dirty version! I was not sure what all stimming involved. 3 or 4 shots of different things or all the same?
@canucklehead. I added the question as an afterthought that answered my question! I used to makes smoothies a lot. MH somehow convinced me to get rid of our blender. I still have a good processor. Smoothies just aren't the same in it
@jrm_14 all different.. some of them can be mixed together (so you are not getting as many needles) but some come in prefilled syringes. they are all different stuff (you should lurk over with us IF girls and youll see there are a bunch of different protocols). I'm taking: Human growth hormone Follistim menopur ganerelix Lupron and Pregnyl (to trigger ovulation when I'm ready) Cray, right???
@jrm_14Sometimes you don't even know how dirty things are until you start cleaning. It can be rather scary lol.
@Augusta108 Ugh, I hope the meds kick in and you feel better. Sorry for CD1.
@SkilledSailor Have fun getting your hair done! I think I need to do a root touch up here myself.
@Dilynne GL with the SA. Hope YH goes in soon so you can get some results. Our cats have been banished from the bedroom for that exact reason. They think playing fetch in the middle of the night is adorable. Its not!
@darkstar42 So glad you had a good session yesterday! My acupuncturist gave me some herbs. But they were more for stress and trying to help me sleep better. Can't say they really did anything and they were short cycles.
@blackhottamales I have to make a Costco run on Saturday. Its always so crazy busy in there and you can never make it out without spending a ton of $$.
@dargonette505 YES!! That is awesome that you get to start tonight.
@marcus7676 Oh man, not sure the bus would have been the place to read that. People would have looked at me like I had lost my mind. Eeekk. Really hope that you get some sleep soon and GL with that decision.
@ajsanders-2 Enjoy your Friday! Anything planned for your day off tomorrow?
@canucklehead123 Just think your friend will forever be in your debt! No matter when, or how, he owes you! Big! On road rage - Full confession, I absolutely flipped an old lady the bird in traffic the other day. She definitely deserved it though! not my proudest moment, but I stand by this!
@marcus7676 Well up until this year I only had my hair cut maybe twice a year. I'm calling it rollover hair care. Sorry you've had such a killer headache for so long! Have you spoken to a doctor about it?
@ajsanders-2 Yay for your Friday! Were you as disappointed as I was that the Divergent movies were so bad compared to the great books?
@canucklehead123 I'm sorry if I've asked this before, but what is the purported benefit of the seed cycling? Egg quality, lining quality?
Is there a thread anywhere discussing TTC diet claims? I'm sure a lot of it is woo and guesswork, but I'm very curious about it all, nonetheless. We all gotta eat, might as well be chowing down on things that could potentially help the reproductive system, amiright?
@lalala2004 Supposedly, the nutrients in the specific seeds promote hormone balance - the pumpkin & flax for estrogen levels and the sunflower and sesame for progesterone... thus promoting healthy egg development and ovulation, then thick and healthy uterine lining post ovulation. I'll share some of the articles I've read below. I started the cycling because a friend's naturopath had recommended. Keep in mind, most say to continue pumpkin/flax until day 14, then switch to sunflower/sesame - but I have just used until O and then switch.
@SkilledSailor it makes me sad too. It was fine until I moved to the big city and now it sucks. @canucklehead123 I'm the opposite, I put my most fake smile on and smile at everyone even when they are rude. I'm hoping by treating them nice they will realize how rude they are being. (Which will never happen)
@kiwi2628 Love that the RE's office offers free fertility yoga. Have you tried it before? I hope you feel very relaxed afterward!
@jrm_14 Way to go on powerwashing! You are a rock star. When you are done, do you want to come to my house?!
@emmasemm Sorry about the long workday. Any fun weekend plans?
@SkilledSailor Hair appt days are THE BEST! Are you changing up your style at all or keeping the same color/style? I can't wait for my appointment next week.
@nitnat007 Enjoy the lurking while your boss is out...and let us know if you find any fun info! Also, I loved the Art of Racing in the Rain too.
@Augusta108 I'm sorry to see you over here, my friend. Since you are a Jane Austen fan...have you ever read Eligible by Curtis Sittenfeld? It's a modern day re-telling of Pride and Prejudice and it was a fantastic read. (Same wonderful characters as P&P, but in a current day setting).
@Dilynne So sorry you are not sleeping well. I would insist that the cats not sleep there.
@darkstar42 So glad you like your acupuncturist. How did you find her? Does she specialize in fertility? Also, have you listened to the "How to Get Healthy and Pregnant" podcasts? The speaker specializes in Chinese medicine.
@blackhottamles Ooooo, Costco! I need to go there next week to stock up on items. Let me know if you find anything new and fun.
@marcus7676 I'm with you...I never temp during AF. And from now on, I plan not to temp about O either because I felt too stressed in the morning wondering if my temp would be up or down. So sorry to hear about your headaches. That sounds miserable.
@MLS6212 So sorry you didn't get to enjoy the donuts, but probably for the best any way!
@ajsanders-2 Yay for your Friday! Any fun plans? I LOVE books too.

@jrm_14 Power washers are awesome! We caved and bought one this summer. Everything is so clean now! Have fun!
Month/Cycle: 3/4
CD: 5
WAYDTGKU: still waiting out AF
R/R: Just got back from the dermatologist, ouch! He zapped me with liquid nitrogen a couple times. Not fun at all. Boss isn't in the office today, so you know I am going to doing a lot of lurking today.
CS/Q:
GTKY: Name a few books you could read over and over - I am admittedly not an avid reader, but I love "The Art of Racing in the Rain". And it made me cry ugly tears.
@SkilledSailor what are you having done to your hair? I love having mine done.
@nitnat007. I am so excited for everything to be clean. Our sidewalk and patio are gross, so I'm going to blast them, too.
@jrm_14, I've never read any Jodi Picoult but she's on my list of authors I'd like to try. What's your favorite book by her?
@emmasemm, I loved Black Beauty when I was a kid!
Month/Cycle: 9/10
CD: 1
WAYDTGKU: So many things, none of them working
R/R: CD1 and I have my usual CD1 migraine...waiting for my meds to hopefully kick in and for it to be time to call into work.
CS/Q: Just one lonely dot.
GTKY: The Phantom Tollbooth by Norman Juster, Persuasion by Jane Austen, The Hobbit!
@emmasemm Oh Black Beauty is a good one! I use to love that book.
@nitnat007 Yay for a day with no boss! Also, love that book. I definitely cried too.
CD: 6
WAYDTGKU: At this point I'm waiting for H to get his SA done from months ago. He's being frustrating.
R/R: I haven't slept well in over a week because H keeps insisting we let the cats sleep in our room and they jump all over me and fight and he sleeps through it and I don't and now I'm grumpy.
CS/Q:
GTKY: Name a few books you could read over and over.
The Outsiders, the Angels Trilogy by Lurlene McDaniel, Hey Nostradamus.
Married: 04/05/15
TTC since: 02/16/16
@jrm_14 Yay for good sleep! And the power washer actually does sound like fun.
@emmasemm I remember loving Black Beauty as a kid, but I haven't read it in years! Perhaps I'm due for a re-read.
@SkilledSailor Enjoy getting your hair done! That's always fun.

Month/Cycle: 6/6

WAYDTGKU: bbt, cm, opks, pnvs, green tea, acupuncture
R/R: No rant today. You guys, my acupuncturist is so awesome! It's so refreshing to have someone take a holistic view of my health, and not just focus on one specific issue. Her treatment recommendations include food, exercise, supplements, etc., not just what she can charge me for.
CS/Q: No questions, but here's my chart for stalking!
GTKY: Name a few books you could read over and over
So many! Anything by Neil Gaiman (esp. Neverwhere and American Gods), Harry Potter, The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern, all Jane Austen's books, Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones, and many, many more. I love to re-read good books!
Sigh.
Month/Cycle: 17/14
CD: 6
WAYDTGKU: PNV, BBT, OPK...
R/R: i can't decide if it's a rave or rant: i have to go to costco today because we are out of all our costco staples (i.e. TP, papertowels, tissues...) and that means i get to have their delicious rotisserie chicken.
GTKY: Name a few books you could read over and over
Tom Sawyer is my best answer, but admittedly i reach the hunger games series over and over and still expect different outcomes.
@darkstar42 your acupuncturist sounds amazing. i might need her info!
@Dilynne. I'm the jerk in our marriage that lets the kitten sleep in our bed. MH grumbles about it, but when I offer to shut her out of the room he is all, "Welllll, it's whatever...m" like he will miss her but doesn't want to admit it
@blackhottamales. I miss Costco. We only have Sam's where I live currently. Costco pizzas are good, too! Do you eat the chicken plain or put it in things? It is pretty delish both ways.
CD: 11
WAYDTGKU:BBT,CM,OPK,HIO
R/R: Totally got a kick out of Zingbot on Big Brother last night. Matt`s zing was hilarious.
CS/Q: nope
GTKY: Name a few books you could read over and over. V.C Andrews (The Landry series)
@stargazer1lily I LOVE VC Andrews. It would be hard for me to pick a favorite between Ruby, Heaven and Flowers in the Attic. The newer ones are just kinda crap, IMO.
Married June 2012
BFP June 2013- blighted ovum, D&C Aug 2013
BFP Oct 2013- twins! A&H born May 2014
BFP Aug 2017- EDD 5/8/17
@jrm_14...gurl, no clue yet, but at least your cm is going in the right direction!
@emmasemm Yay 2 days of PEAK! You should know soon. Today or tomorrow maybe?
@SkilledSailor Yay for the hair salon! Such a nice little mini spa moment
@nitnat007 OMG I love "boss away" days!
@Augusts108 ugh...sorry about the migraine!
@Dilynne ugh... my cat does wake me a bit, but just because he wants to find a better spot. If he fought with the dog I don't know what id do!
@darkstar42 I love my acupuncture center too! I cant take herbs because I have too many food sensitivities, but of course they swear by them.
CD: 7
WAYDTGKU: IVF
R/R: I think I get to start stimming tonight!!!!
CS/Q: nope
GTKY: Name a few books you could read over and over: Guns Germs and steel, The harry potter series, The clan of the cave bear series, the nightside series
@jrm_14 I have never read jodi picault. people keep recommending her. What's your favorite?
@emmasemm hope your day goes quickly!
@SkilledSailor my H would kill me if I scheduled monthly hair appointments but it sounds so nice!
@nitnat007 I read the end of the Art of Racing in the Rain on the bus to work one day. I was an absolute mess.
@augusta108 sorry about the migraine. my headache is still going strong 5 days in and I'm CD 2. It should have normally stopped by now so I'm annoyed.
@darkstar42 I tried reading American Gods and couldn't finish. That never happens. I hated it so so much.
Month/Cycle: 2/2
CD: 2
WAYDTGKU: Once AF leaves, CM, PNV. I won't start temping yet because it will add too much stress.
R/R: Headache is going strong 5 days in. I haven't slept in about 5 days. Yet, had to listen to my H complain about one night of tough sleep. Does it seem like men always have it "worst"? (TW) I have to make a tough daycare decision for DS. (End TW)
CS/Q:
GTKY: Name a few books you could read over and over I'm not a huge re-reader, but could probably read Harry Potter over and over.
CD: 3
WAYDTGKU: Willing AF to GTFO
R/R: Someone brought donuts to work yesterday. I saw that there were some leftover today so I went to grab a glazed donut with sprinkles. When I opened the box I saw a bunch of fruit flies all over them. So I had the boring but sensible Carbmaster yogurt I brought to work yesterday and abandoned in the fridge.
CS/Q: None at this time.
GTKY: Name a few books you could read over and over. Summer Sisters by Judy Blume, The 19th Wife by David Ebershoff, Brave New World by Aldous Huxley.
@Stargazer1lily Love Zingbot!

@jrm_14 being excited over a power washer is very adulty of you
@augusta03 sorry about the migraine
@Dilynne The Outsiders is one of mine, too!
@darkstar42 I'm glad you like your acupuncturist! I haven't done it myself, but I'm intrigued by the whole experience, so I hope you continue to share how it goes! I need to read more Neil Gaiman, and I also love Jane Austen!
@dragonette505 yay for starting IVF!
Month/Cycle: 1/0

CS/Q: nothing to see, really
GTKY: Name a few books you could read over and over
Gone With the Wind (I've only read it twice, though, it's long!) The Little House series, The Outsiders, 1984, Animal Farm
@marcus7676. Literally all of them. Especially My Sister's Keeper, though.
@MLS6212. I would be SO SAD if I thought I would be eating a doughnut & I ended up not.
@dragonette505. Yay for stating stims! (Sheepishly asking) What all does that involve?

CS/Q: none
GTKY: Name a few books you could read over and over
The Harry Potter series (could...try have) - can't really think of any others that I would read over and over.

ETA: @canucklehead123. Do you have any certain ways you consume all the seeds?
Just kidding!! lol
@lalala2004 OMG! How did I leave out the little house series (I like to re read it in the fall for some reason)
@jrm_14 weeell... the short draft is I will be taking shots of three or 4 different things to stimulate my ovaries to hopefully mature a bunch of eggs that will be fertilized and hopefully get put back in my ute at some point (the long story i'm happy to give the deets on if you like!) lol
@canucklehead123 Yall got me seriously scurred of costco!
I added the question as an afterthought
that answered my question! I used to makes smoothies a lot. MH somehow convinced me to get rid of our blender. I still have a good processor. Smoothies just aren't the same in it
Human growth hormone
Follistim
menopur
ganerelix
Lupron and Pregnyl (to trigger ovulation when I'm ready)
Cray, right???
@blackhottamales It actually makes me sad that you don't like going to Costco. It's one of my favorite errands, haha.
@dragonette505 Yay for stimming day!!!!!
@lalala2004 Get it girl!
Is there a thread anywhere discussing TTC diet claims? I'm sure a lot of it is woo and guesswork, but I'm very curious about it all, nonetheless. We all gotta eat, might as well be chowing down on things that could potentially help the reproductive system, amiright?

@canucklehead123 I'm the opposite, I put my most fake smile on and smile at everyone even when they are rude. I'm hoping by treating them nice they will realize how rude they are being. (Which will never happen)
@SkilledSailor - yes very much so! The first Alliance was terrible!!
DD: 07/19/18
EDD: 06/22/22
@jrm_14 Way to go on powerwashing! You are a rock star. When you are done, do you want to come to my house?!
@emmasemm Sorry about the long workday. Any fun weekend plans?
@SkilledSailor Hair appt days are THE BEST! Are you changing up your style at all or keeping the same color/style? I can't wait for my appointment next week.
@nitnat007 Enjoy the lurking while your boss is out...and let us know if you find any fun info!
@stargazer1lily & @sandbar517 It sounds like I need to check out VC Andrews books.
@dragonette505 Eeek!! Excited for you.
@lalala2004 Great books!
@canucklehead123 How is the seed cycling going? Are you putting them in smoothies or muffins? Do you feel any different adding them into your diet?
