Fav Quote: The greatest thing you'll ever learn is just to love and be loved in return

  • Good morning!

@kiwi2628 Fertility yoga sounds amazing. What kind of poses are done in the class? Or is it a mental/focus thing?

    Month/Cycle: 4/4

    CD: 10

    WAYDTGKU: Lots of basics

R/R: I get my hair done today! I'm loving my monthly appointments. I have no rants today and that in and of itself is a rave.

    CS/Q:

GTKY: I love Eve's Daughters, First Wives Club, Seabiscuit, Harry Potter, probably have more.
  • @kiwi2628 Oh fertility yoga. Sounds like fun! And yay for half days.
@jrm_14 Power washers are awesome! We caved and bought one this summer. Everything is so clean now! Have fun!

    Month/Cycle: 3/4

    CD: 5

    WAYDTGKU: still waiting out AF

R/R: Just got back from the dermatologist, ouch! He zapped me with liquid nitrogen a couple times. Not fun at all. Boss isn't in the office today, so you know I am going to doing a lot of lurking today.

    CS/Q:

GTKY: Name a few books you could read over and over - I am admittedly not an avid reader, but I love "The Art of Racing in the Rain". And it made me cry ugly tears.
  • @emmasemm. Yay for IVF countdown!
@SkilledSailor what are you having done to your hair? I love having mine done.
@nitnat007. I am so excited for everything to be clean.  Our sidewalk and patio are gross, so I'm going to blast them, too.
  • @kiwi2628, ooh, fertility yoga sounds nice! What kinds of poses do they emphasize?

@jrm_14, I've never read any Jodi Picoult but she's on my list of authors I'd like to try. What's your favorite book by her?

@emmasemm, I loved Black Beauty when I was a kid!

    Month/Cycle: 9/10

    CD: 1

WAYDTGKU: So many things, none of them working

R/R: CD1 and I have my usual CD1 migraine...waiting for my meds to hopefully kick in and for it to be time to call into work.

    CS/Q: Just one lonely dot.

GTKY: The Phantom Tollbooth by Norman Juster, Persuasion by Jane Austen, The Hobbit!
  • @jrm_14 Haha power washing is so satisfying! It's instant results!  I died my hair silver/grey a few months ago so I go in once a month to get it touched up now.

@emmasemm Oh Black Beauty is a good one! I use to love that book.

@nitnat007 Yay for a day with no boss! Also, love that book. I definitely cried too.

  • Month/Cycle: 19? I think

    CD: 6

WAYDTGKU: At this point I'm waiting for H to get his SA done from months ago. He's being frustrating.

R/R: I haven't slept well in over a week because H keeps insisting we let the cats sleep in our room and they jump all over me and fight and he sleeps through it and I don't and now I'm grumpy.

    CS/Q:

GTKY: Name a few books you could read over and over.

The Outsiders, the Angels Trilogy by Lurlene McDaniel, Hey Nostradamus.
    Me: 27 DH: 27
    Married: 04/05/15
    TTC since: 02/16/16

  • @kiwi2628 I'd love to hear more about the fertility yoga!
@jrm_14 Yay for good sleep! And the power washer actually does sound like fun. :)
@emmasemm I remember loving Black Beauty as a kid, but I haven't read it in years! Perhaps I'm due for a re-read.
@SkilledSailor Enjoy getting your hair done! That's always fun.
    --------------------------

    Month/Cycle: 6/6

    CD: 8

WAYDTGKU: bbt, cm, opks, pnvs, green tea, acupuncture

R/R: No rant today. You guys, my acupuncturist is so awesome! It's so refreshing to have someone take a holistic view of my health, and not just focus on one specific issue. Her treatment recommendations include food, exercise, supplements, etc., not just what she can charge me for. :) Has anyone here ever taken any Chinese herbs, either for ttc or something else? She recommended one to me, and I'm going to give it a try, but I'm always a skeptic.

CS/Q: No questions, but here's my chart for stalking!

GTKY: Name a few books you could read over and over
So many! Anything by Neil Gaiman (esp. Neverwhere and American Gods), Harry Potter, The Night Circus by Erin Morgenstern, all Jane Austen's books, Howl's Moving Castle by Diana Wynne Jones, and many, many more. I love to re-read good books!

  • @nitnat007 Ouch! Liquid nitrogen is no fun.
@Augusta108 Sorry about cd 1! And totally agree with you on The Hobbit! Plus the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
@Dilynne Same in our house with the kitties! Most of the time one sleeps on the bed and the other downstairs, but occasionally they fight (usually on my feet) and MH sleeps through it. Sigh.
  • @Dilynne i hope YH gets the SA done soon. MH is the same way but the first year of trying has been getting me to ovulate and now that i am we're trying for 3 months and if still not KU then i'll make him get a SA.
@darkstar42 your acupuncturist sounds amazing.  i might need her info!

  • @augusta108. Sorry for CD1 :(   Picoult books are typically ugly cry books.  There isn't a bad one!
@Dilynne.  I'm the jerk in our marriage that lets the kitten sleep in our bed.  MH grumbles about it, but when I offer to shut her out of the room he is all, "Welllll, it's whatever...m" like he will miss her but doesn't want to admit it :D
@blackhottamales.  I miss Costco. We only have Sam's where I live currently. Costco pizzas are good, too!  Do you eat the chicken plain or put it in things? It is pretty delish both ways.

  • Month/Cycle: 13/12

    CD: 11

    WAYDTGKU:BBT,CM,OPK,HIO

R/R: Totally got a kick out of Zingbot on Big Brother last night. Matt`s zing was hilarious.

    CS/Q: nope

GTKY: Name a few books you could read over and over. V.C Andrews  (The Landry series)
  • @jrm_14 both.  I usually eat it plain the first night and then put it in a sandwich or salad the second day. it's so good! the pizza is good but i usually try to avoid because, you know greasy pizza...
  • *lurking from TWW*
@stargazer1lily I LOVE VC Andrews.  It would be hard for me to pick a favorite between Ruby, Heaven and Flowers in the Attic.  The newer ones are just kinda crap, IMO.

    Me, 35 Hubs, 32
    Married June 2012
BFP June 2013- blighted ovum, D&C Aug 2013
BFP Oct 2013- twins!  A&H born May 2014
    BFP Aug 2017- EDD 5/8/17

  • @kiwi2628 what's fertility yoga?  Are there special poses?

@jrm_14 I have never read jodi picault.  people keep recommending her. What's your favorite?

@emmasemm hope your day goes quickly!

@SkilledSailor my H would kill me if I scheduled monthly hair appointments but it sounds so nice!

@nitnat007 I read the end of the Art of Racing in the Rain on the bus to work one day. I was an absolute mess.

@augusta108 sorry about the migraine.  my headache is still going strong 5 days in and I'm CD 2. It should have normally stopped by now so I'm annoyed.

@darkstar42 I tried reading American Gods and couldn't finish.  That never happens.  I hated it so so much.

    Month/Cycle: 2/2

    CD: 2

WAYDTGKU: Once AF leaves, CM, PNV.  I won't start temping yet because it will add too much stress.

R/R:  Headache is going strong 5 days in. I haven't slept in about 5 days. Yet, had to listen to my H complain about one night of tough sleep.  Does it seem like men always have it "worst"? (TW) I have to make a tough daycare decision for DS. (End TW)

    CS/Q:

GTKY: Name a few books you could read over and over  I'm not a huge re-reader, but could probably read Harry Potter over and over.
  • Month/Cycle: 2/2

    CD: 3

    WAYDTGKU: Willing AF to GTFO

R/R: Someone brought donuts to work yesterday. I saw that there were some leftover today so I went to grab a glazed donut with sprinkles. When I opened the box I saw a bunch of fruit flies all over them. So I had the boring but sensible Carbmaster yogurt I brought to work yesterday and abandoned in the fridge.

    CS/Q: None at this time.

GTKY: Name a few books you could read over and over. Summer Sisters by Judy Blume, The 19th Wife by David Ebershoff, Brave New World by Aldous Huxley.

@Dilynne I feel you on the cat thing. We have two cats and they demand food between 4am and 5am or if I'm up for an extended period at any point during the night. When we don't give into their demands they start trying to destroy things. DH sleeps through that (and usually anything else waking me up/keeping me up at night) It's exhausting.

    @Stargazer1lily Love Zingbot! :)

  • @lalala2004. We won't discuss my list of gift ideas I provided MH that includes a new air purifier, a mouse pad for my office, and shelving for our bathroom. Adulting CAN be fun!
@marcus7676. Literally all of them. Especially My Sister's Keeper, though.
@MLS6212.  I would be SO SAD if I thought I would be eating a doughnut & I ended up not.
@dragonette505. Yay for stating stims!  (Sheepishly asking) What all does that involve?

@emmasemm. (Never mind :)  it was not you)  it,is @canucklehead123 who seed cycles
  • Fairly certain I O'd yesterday but had some wonky temping shenanigans this morning so I think I'll just hang out here for another day!

    Month/Cycle: 1/1

    CD: 21

WAYDTGKU: BBT, CM, OPK, PNV, Maca powder, seed cycling (switched to sunflower and sesame seeds this morning); ++water, ++ exercise, --caffeine, ++BD

R/R: Rant: I told my friend I'd help him move on Sunday...currently regretting this so much!!!

    CS/Q: none

GTKY: Name a few books you could read over and over
The Harry Potter series (could...try have) - can't really think of any others that I would read over and over.

@blackhottamales I have straight up yelled at people in Costco parking lots on two separate occasions (omg... I'm that person)... I don't have road rage, just Costco parking lot rage!! Sometimes people just need to hear it...  I hate going there.  Brings out the worst in me.

but obvz I've never left the safety of my car...

@darkstar42 glad to hear you're happy with your acupuncturist!  Don't have any experience with Chinese herbs - but I hear you on the skepticism...that's always my default as well.

  • @jrm_14 It was really sad. I had gestational diabetes with my son so there's a pretty good chance I'll have it with subsequent pregnancies. So right now I'm like carbs carbs carbs!

@canucklehead123. I jumped abord the train and am trying seed cycling. Aldi's has a pumpkin-flax granola that I love I have been adding my ground P&F seeds to this cycle.
ETA:  @canucklehead123. Do you have any certain ways you consume all the seeds?
  • @jrm_14 awesome! I must say, my last two cycles were SOOO long (there was a lot of stress/travel involved etc.), but this cycle is back to its normal length!  I know there are a lot of factors involved, but I can't help but think the seed cycling played some role...so far I highly recommend (and also because hey, there are so many great nutrients in all the seeds)!

@jrm_14 sorry didn't see the last question - I have a smoothie every morning and the seeds just go right into the blender... I also add my maca powder, avocado or full fat yogurt (depending on what's in the fridge), blueberries, spinach...all the foods that the internet tells me are good for fertility.  I also invested in a good plant-based protein powder with no sweeteners to go in as well... I find the combo of seeds, protein, fruit & veg and fats keep me pretty full and don't usually have to eat until 11:30a or so (that's if I have smoothie around 7:15a).   Did that answer your question or were you asking something else?

@dragonette505 The way to prevent these scary Costco run-ins with me is: 1. drive like a responsible human being in the parking lot and 2. drive like a responsible human being in the parking lot.  LOL which I'm sure you do!

  • @dragonette505 Thanks for the quick&dirty version!  I was not sure what all stimming involved.  3 or 4 shots of different things or all the same?

@canucklehead. I added the question as an afterthought :)  that answered my question!  I used to makes smoothies a lot.  MH somehow convinced me to get rid of our blender. I still have a good processor.  Smoothies just aren't the same in it :(

  • @jrm_14 all different.. some of them can be mixed together (so you are not getting as many needles) but some come in prefilled syringes. they are all different stuff (you should lurk over with us IF girls and youll see there are a bunch of different protocols). I'm taking:
    Human growth hormone
    Follistim
    menopur
    ganerelix
Lupron and Pregnyl (to trigger ovulation when I'm ready)
    Cray, right???
  • @canucklehead123 I'm sorry if I've asked this before, but what is the purported benefit of the seed cycling? Egg quality, lining quality?

Is there a thread anywhere discussing TTC diet claims? I'm sure a lot of it is woo and guesswork, but I'm very curious about it all, nonetheless. We all gotta eat, might as well be chowing down on things that could potentially help the reproductive system, amiright?

@lalala2004  Supposedly, the nutrients in the specific seeds promote hormone balance - the pumpkin & flax for estrogen levels and the sunflower and sesame for progesterone... thus promoting healthy egg development and ovulation, then thick and healthy uterine lining post ovulation.  I'll share some of the articles I've read below.  I started the cycling because a friend's naturopath had recommended.  Keep in mind, most say to continue pumpkin/flax until day 14, then switch to sunflower/sesame - but I have just used until O and then switch.

  • @SkilledSailor it makes me sad too. It was fine until I moved to the big city and now it sucks.
@canucklehead123 I'm the opposite, I put my most fake smile on and smile at everyone even when they are rude. I'm hoping by treating them nice they will realize how rude they are being. (Which will never happen)
  • @SkilledSailor Right now the plan is to go weekly. I think my insurance will pay for it, shockingly, so it should be affordable.
  • @nitnat007 - cleaning my apartment! So much laundry to do! lol.
@SkilledSailor - yes very much so! The first Alliance was terrible!!
