Diaper Bags

I searched and wasn't able to find a prior post on this topic. What type of diaper bag do you/plan to use? Why do you love it? Links please?!
I received a beautiful Kate Spade diaper bag for my first that I never used because it didn't fit in my stroller basket. I'd love to find something that functions like a diaper bag but looks more like a grown-up tote/purse.
I came across these Sarah Wells breast pump bags yesterday and think they are beautiful, but they seem very specific to breast pumps, rather than an everyday diaper bag.

Re: Diaper Bags

  • I looked at a bunch, but actually we'll just end up using a classing LL Bean Boat & Tote bag (medium) with a zip top.  I'll probably make/procure some internal organization pouches for keeping diapers, ointments, wipes, etc. organized.  My husband will be the primary caregiver, and the bags billed as "diaper bags" really are a no-go with him.

We also plan to get him the Mission Critical baby carrier (designed for dads) with the more traditional diaper bag components as add-ons for him.

  • @mymulligan I had a Kate Spade with V and barely used it because it was too hard to carry. I hated the straps. We had a skip hop one that was a messenger bag that was really functional that didn't hold up well.

I just bought an Ergobaby backpack to use with this one. My sister has 3 and said the backpack bags are so much better and easier to carry with more than one kid.

I love the Kate Spade one's but couldn't bring myself to ask cuz they're so expensive. I asked for a carters one that's gray striped with a mint inside and mint changing pad. I love big totes so it's perfect but doesn't look like a purse
  • I got this diaper bag from Target. It's quite possibly the most awesomely organized thing I've ever owned. It has little tabs that tell what goes where, tons of pockets, and comes with a changing pad. I know it doesn't look like a purse, but it's so convenient!

  • We are both doing backpack diapers bags. H is registered for a Jeep on and I got mine on an Amazon sale a while ago. I want to be able to baby wear or push a stroller and not worry about the bag getting in the way

  • We registered for an Eddie Bauer backpack-style diaper bag from Target, and I got an off-brand one from a coworker. The one we got is pretty close to the one we registered for, so I'm okay with that. I have a huge Vera Bradley bag we can use if the backpack doesn't work out.

We are using a laptop backpack DH got years ago. It's super high quality with tons of compartments that are perfect for easy access to baby stuff. It also expands and has underbelly clips, which will be great when I baby wear in front so it doesn't slip in back. It's in mint condition, but it's funny because you can tell it's age only by the size of the cell phone pocket on the strap - its for a skinny flip phone!! This is similar.

It's funny how it's the little things in life that mean the most...not where you live, or what you drive, or the price tag on your clothes... There's no dollar sign on a piece of mind, this I've come to know! *ZBB*
