I'm 24w1d and I feel like my little one is moving less than he was at 21 weeks. Previously he had super strong kicks and I could feel them with my hand and sometimes see them. Now he just has small movements. And only about 3 active periods per day.. I feel like I'm moving backwards and I don't know if it's because he's growing and higher up in my belly now? I have a Doppler and listen to his little heart beat when I'm nervous. It's appropriate and has several accelerations while I'm listening. Has anyone else had this happen as they've gotten further along?
Hi @bethanyd74 I see this is your first time posting on The Bump! Welcome!
We here on the December 2017 board are a fairly established community, and as a result, we have a lot of ongoing threads on a variety of topics, one of which is Baby Movements. If you click there, you can read ALL about how everyone who is due in D17 is feeling baby move, and as you'll see there is a huge variety.
If you choose to stick around and get to know us, why not head over to the Introductions thread and tell us a little bit more about yourself, and check out the READ THIS FIRST thread for our general board guidelines and etiquette. Generally, one-off threads like this, with a very specific question for yourself, are frowned up as they don't foster community.
As for your question, I can't relate as my babe's movements have been getting consistently stronger as the weeks roll by. I have heard that fetal dopplers should NOT be relied upon as they may give you a false sense of security. If you are concerned you should contact your doctor, nurse call line, or go into the hospital to get assessed. That being said, my midwife told me not to worry about the consistency of movement until 26-28 weeks and to not even think about kick-counts until 30 weeks, as the baby is still relatively small and it is harder to feel. I hope you get some reassurance and everything turns out fine!
